It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. The location was super and the views from the living room window were fantastic! There was also the added bonus of seeing the Jacobite steam train passing just behind the cottage. We really enjoyed our stay.

I think the owners take their responsibility seriously and have thought of everything that might be useful. We had no need to contact the owner but i'm sure if we had, they would have helped out immediately Well done!

  • "Taigh na Talia is an excellent holiday cottage in the most wonderful setting."

The view of Eigg and Rum from the window is incomparable. We spent a happy week here exploring the area and returning to the comfort of the house in the evening. The house is well-equipped and the owners are very helpful and respond quickly and helpful if you have any questions or problems. We visited Eigg by ferry and pootled about in Arisaig, Morar and Mallaig. We visited the beaches at Camasdarrach, the Silver Sands and the Bourblach (just a short walk away). There is a lot to see and do, but it’s also wonderful to just sit and take it all in.

Thank you for your feedback and I'm pleased you had an enjoyable holiday. I couldn't agree more that the area is perfect for doing as much, or little, as the fancy takes you! Hoping to welcome you back again in the future. Graham. Property Owner

  • "We were utterly delighted with Taigh na Talia, as we wrote in the visitors' book."

The view out to Rum over the bay was stunning. The cottage was roomy, well-equipped (though I did once need a whisk, which I couldn't find) and comfortable (apart from a slightly harder mattress than I find desirable) and I was more than pleased to find a real BATH in the "bathroom" to ease aching muscles after walking - and climbing An Sgurr on Eigg! The situation was perfect for planning walks and boat and train trips. It was very obviously a loved family home and we felt privileged to share it. A Thai takeaway from "Sunset" made an excellent last night meal but the lack of a garage (petrol) and shop in the village should be noted.

Thanks again for booking Taigh Na Talia and I'm pleased that you enjoyed it. Well done on climbing the Sgur, I hope you had a clear day for it to fully appreciate the views. I hope I may welcome you back sometime in the future. Property Owner

Loved every minute. The cottage was a home from home, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The views from the front window are unbelievable, and we spent many an hour just staring at the beach, sea and islands. We used the train again to Glenfinnan and did plenty of walks as the weather was sunny but cold. The highlight was watching the Northern Lights from the front garden. What a show.!! We will never forget our stay and will be back!

The cottage itself was lovely ,in a great location with a wonderful view out to sea. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had every thing you would need for a holiday break. There was lots of information on the local area in the house and communications from the owner were very friendly and helpful. AS an added bonus we had the use of the garage and we used that to store our bikes. The owner (Graham) was very helpful when we left behind a couple of cycle helmets as he arranged to return them to us.
