  • "Amazing! The property is exactly as described."

It is a pod and so it does have a small kitchen area but what more can you ask with a hob, oven and microwave. There are plenty of utensils, pans and oven trays. There is space in drawers and the pan cupboard to store food if required and a full size fridge and freezer. The main thing for us is cleanliness and everywhere was immaculate. The beds were comfortable, I slept really well. Each of the bedrooms have a TV and a hanging rail with coat hangers. The view was beautiful, across fields and it was lovely to watch the sun set and the sky turn golden. We can see how the property got its name! The grounds are fully enclosed, plenty of parking. The hot tub was perfect. We booked some time ago but then to see some of the reviews I did wonder what to expect. All I can say is our experience was brilliant. Yes, it is a small, compact pod- but you can clearly see from the photographs what it is. The living area was actually bigger than I expected. We would highly recommend and we will be returning.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back soon Property Owner

  • "Overall the lodge was lovely and in a great location for exploring Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington."

The lodge comes fully equipped with everything you would need; kitchen, fridge oven etc Flies did seem to be an issue but nevertheless the lodge was everything as described

  • "This property was advertised as luxury."

The build structure was luxury however all fitting out was at budget level. Cheap beds with uncomfortable mattresses, small basic towels, no coffee table had to use one from the deck, no cupboard to put food in the kitchen, no privacy from the other pod or from the public footpath as no covering for the large panoramic window. Hot tub well maintained but no privacy. No chest of draws for clothes. Worst of all it was infested by flies for which we had to purchase fly killer. Safety was compromised with no gate on the decking and large, person sized, gap in the "secure" garden. Information about the area was minimal and out of date. Entry details for electronic gates was incorrect.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately we don’t have the same space in our Pod as we do in our lodges, Pods in general are smaller and compact, this adds to their quirkiness that guess wants. Most pods do not have wardrobes or chests of draws due to limited space. We do have rails and hangers for your clothes. We do state clearly in our description that each pod has a non-enclosed decking area. I am not sure what is meant by safety being compromised. There are a few steps up to the decking, with a rail. The pods are surrounded by beautiful countrysides and in the warmer months, we do get more flies from the fields. We are investing in fly screens to fit the windows. Our beds and mattresses are brand new, but I know you had a few medical conditions & a orthopaedic mattress would have been more appropriate. We are looking at making the pods more disabled accessible. Property Owner

  • "What a lovely, peaceful, little pod!"

It’s very modern, up to date, comfortable and cosy. I was fortunate to have the whole place to myself, as the other pod was empty. It had everything I needed (apart from a mirror, positioned somewhere for my hairdryer to reach, to dry my hair). The only issue I had was with the flies. I couldn’t have any of the windows or the door open, which detracted from the whole experience. I appreciate it’s not the owners fault, and I wouldn’t know what to suggest to be honest. Maybe an electric fly killer/zapper? The only other thing I’d suggest is getting a small, cordless vacuum. I was only there for 3 nts but felt the need to want to vacuum round in the living area (especially with all the dead flies)! There was a dust pan & brush, but I struggle to bend down. Brilliantly situated for the coast and beaches, with the bonus of being able to retreat from the busy areas to peace and tranquility. The weather wasn’t great so I didn’t use the hot tub (unfortunately)! As much as it was lovely to have the sun streaming in through the windows, whilst setting, I wanted blinds/curtains. I wouldn’t have liked to have experienced that on a really hot day.

  • "A lovely relaxing location, could do with."

rail to help get in and out of the hot tub but other than that a very spacious and comfortable pod. Way bigger that a normal pod, could easily sleep 4.

  • "Lovely pod, had a great stay."

Great size, bonus was 2 bathrooms. Could have benefitted from a gated grassed/decked area for our 2 pups so they didn't disturb our next door neighbouring pod. Beds weren't that comfy and could've done with a few more pillows and larger bath towels but on the whole a beautiful pod.

  • "The property listing was accurate."

The information / updates were clear along with the entry information. The pod was well positioned to grab that "Gem Sunset" across open fields. It was clean and well prepared for our arrival. The pods were enclosed within there own fenced off area with lots of room for our new puppy to run around free and the grass area well maintained. The locals have a regular walk around the open fields which tales about an hour again ideal and perhaps could be highlighted for people. We visited Filey where we had coffee and cake at the Egg and Spoon which l recommend and Scarbrough as well as the the Piebald pub where the food was amazing and even had a pie for the dog! Two minor points? The bathroom off the main bedroom the light goes off rather quickly and the heating kept saying the date was incorrect and wouldn't allow us to adjust the temperature on occasions. It was a great break

  • "What a lovely place!"

We booked here as we were doing a skydive over the weekend and this place was 8 mins away from the parachute place…so we got to relax and chill before and after our skydive. The lodge inside is beautiful, clean, comfy, all you need in the kitchen, comfy bedrooms and having 2 bathrooms is just brilliant. The outside is fully fenced and gated so is safe and very spacious, our 6 year old loved playing and riding his bike in the large garden area, there’s also a little park right next door. The hottub was an added bonus…We were in it a lot!! We’ve just had an amazing, relaxing weekend here. We will definitely be booking again. Thankyou.

Great information provided and everything you need for a little getaway. The only thing I would suggest is a blind for the small kitchen window to increase privacy for both pods. But will definitely return
