"Was a lovely place to stay in a fantastic location equipped to a very high standard, owners went out of there way to make sure everything was ok a very nice couple."
Will definitely return and recommend this bungalow to other people.

"Perfect property for our needs clean and welcoming had everything you require for a weeks stay."
Lovely quiet location but close to amenities and visitor attractions. Definitely return if planning another visit to the area.

"Cosy, spacious cottage in a well situated location."
The owner, Jenny, greeted us on arrival and gave many 'top tips' about the area. I happily cycled and walked many miles locally on the Speyside Way, as well as further afield, while the others in my party enjoyed distillery tours and tastings... perfect! Hope to return in the future as we had a brilliant time!

"My partner and I had a lovely week staying at Bogairn."
The house was exactly as shown in the photos and immediately felt like home. Jenny, one of the owners, greeted us upon our arrival with a warm welcome. She also popped by later in the week to ensure all was well. The property was very clean and well maintained. It is ideally situated in a quiet location, but not far from things to do. We enjoyed it so much, that we hope to return in the future. Jacqui Connelly & Craig Simpson

"A good spacious cottage, well furnished and in a good position."

"The owner Jenny made a point of visiting to check that we had settled in and to offer information about the area if needed."
The cottage was comfortable and had beautiful views and the sunset was amazing. It was an ideal base for visiting attractions in the area both those close and further afield. It was listed that there was a washer /dryer but only a washing machine was there. Fortunately there was a washing line and the weather proved to be kind during our stay. There was no welcome pack so ensure that you have provisions with you upon arrival, there is a small supermarket in the town about 2 miles away. We would recommend this cottage.

It was a very relaxed stay in beautiful surroundings, with an abundance of wildlife to be seen daily (Particularly Birds). We look forward to returning again in the future.

"First the pros: the cottage itself was clean and tidy."
It was certainly large enough for the four of us, all adults. It was decorated very nicely. The views were lovely. It was perfectly situated to allow tours of distilleries and the cooperage and Walkers cookie outlet. Cons: There wasn’t so much as a tea bag for us when we arrived. We are used to having at least a few provisions for the first morning in a place because we can’t be expected to come with food after just flying in for 10 hours. But there was nothing. We drove to several places in town hoping to get some dinner but everywhere was booked solid. We ended up driving to Elgin when a google search told us there was a grocery store there and we ate at a restaurant there. It was after 9:00 when we finally had something to eat. The tv didn’t work for our entire stay. With some pretty nasty weather on a few days we were stuck in the cottage with no tv and no instructions were left to explain how to make it work. Speaking of instructions , there were NO instructions of any kind for anything, except detailed instructions for how to clean up and leave the cottage when we left. We stumbled through the use of the washing machine, and we were told not to use the dryer portion of the machine and we were advised we could hang the clothes outside on the line but we only had one full day without rain and that day had gale force winds; we couldn’t get the radiator in the kitchen/dining room to come on (kind of chilly in the morning); the towels were in shreds and were so stiff they were uncomfortable to use; the beds were hard. Usually I don’t care about the softness or firmness of the beds because I can pretty much sleep on anything but these beds were HARD. It’s disappointing that our stay was challenging and we felt like we were not terribly important. I think with a bit of attention to the outlined problems this could be a really nice place to rent.

"Lovely cottage to have a base from which to explore the surrounding area."
Was a real home from home. Comfortable, spacious and had everything you would need.
-
"We really felt at home and appreciated the well equipped kitchen and spacious accommodation."
The location provides open views across countryside on all sides. There’s plenty to see and do in the area and the owners live nearby and were very welcoming.
-
"Really comfortable and well equipped house."
Very friendly and helpful owners nearby.

"What a lovely holiday."
Bogairn had everything we needed for our party of four. The cottage was spacious and cosy, well kept and very clean. Beds were comfortable with plenty of storage space and the kitchen was well equipped with a small seating area. It was too cold to use the sun room but I’m sure it would be nice to sit in during the warmer months. The hosts were friendly, provided suggestions about where to visit and even drove my car out the drive when I couldn’t negotiate the snow. Thank you! We all had a lovely time, particularly my little girl, and we look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

"Brilliant holiday."
The house has everything you could need and is very comfortable. The owners are very nice. Wijld recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet holiday.

"A very clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage."
Heating and hot water were always available. We cooked and ate in every night due to the Coronavirus and were short of no equipment or dishes. The views are amazing and the cottage has local walks and is close enough to the coast for daily visits. Ballindalloch Castle Gardens are very close and also well worth a visit. The Co-op in Aberlour is 5 minutes drive away and is well stocked for any essentials. We highly recommend this cottage and hope to return again in the future.

"Lovely and very well equipped house, the sun room was especially nice to relax in."
Very friendly and helpful owners would highly recommend.

"Lovely owners, friendly, and knowledgeable."
Cottage beautiful, scenery was lovely. Area great, friendly everywhere. Even the weather was quite kind to us. Plenty of places to visit in and around the area.
-
"A lovely warm, cosy and comfortable holiday bungalow."
The location is very convenient, not too far from the local shops. The owners were very friendly and helpful and although their home is not far from the bungalow they are not at all intrusive. We really enjoyed our two week stay and look forward to returning there.

"We had a wonderful relaxing holiday."
our hosts Ronnie & Jenny made us feel very welcome. our needs were well catered for it was like a home away from home. They recommended a lot of lovely places to visit and best places to eat. Scotland is our favourite holiday destination lots more places to visit, so we definitely will be going back there again. Thanks from us Susan & Kevin :) :)

"Very friendly owners with lots of local knowledge."
The cottage was incredibly spacious but cosy at the same time. The bed was the comfiest we've ever slept in on holiday. Lovely views from all rooms. Lots to do nearby and surrounding areas. We seen deer within the grounds at the cottage, dolphins in Spey Bay and climbed a mountain, what a holiday to remember. Climbing Mount Benrinnes highly recommended, very liberating! Aberlour is 2 miles away and a lovely relaxing village with several shops worth a visit. A walk along the River Spey also highly recommended. The directions to the cottage once in the area from the owner were perfect - the ones from Sykes were unfortunately not clear enough.

"Lovely spacious house and very friendly owners."
One bedroom has basic en-suite facilities and in addition there is a luxury bathroom. Lovely view and strategic location.

"What was there not to like about this charming ,cosy ,homely cottage ,set in fields full of lambs gamboling all day ."
We had all seasons in one day sun, rain ,wind and snow.We were met by Jennie and Ron,who couldnt have been more helpful and friendly, even driving us to our restuarant for our meal on our anniversary and picking us up at the end of the evening .We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed for 2 weeks instead of one .We will be back !!!

"The cottage "Bogairn" is situated in a beautiful spot with extensive views in almost any direction, the owners home is quite close but does not interfere with the enjoyment derived from sitting in the sun room to read or to be outside holding a conversation with the sheep."
Aberlour the nearest small village as all the shops you need, from and a number of places to eat, although I cannot recommend the chip shop on our visit it was not good to Walker Short bread factory with the factory shop, Not forgetting the CO-OP. If you like your food I can recommend The Firth Hotel and Restaurant at Lossiemouth nice food a plenty of it . All in all this part of Scotland is great for a relaxing holiday preferably with more than one driver so the delights of the whisky trail can be truly appreciated

"Written directions to the house were poor and I wasn’t given a postcode."
They would be more useful if they stated: turn right at the veterinary practice. No welcome pack not even a small bottle of milk. After a 9 hour drive it would have been nice to have been able to make a drink without having to find a shop!!
-
"Jenny and Ronnie were brilliant, would highly recommend to anyone."
Property and the views it affords are truly unique and cannot be beaten.
-
"This property is the best, from start to finish of our holiday."
the view from the bungalow is amazing. managed to get out every day. Thank you for a lovely holiday cottage :-)
-
"The holiday was superb."
Exceeded our expectations on all counts. The owners were very helpful and friendly.
-
"The cottage was lovely and homely, exactly as it was advertised."
The location was beautiful but very isolated - definitely need a car to travel to and from. The facilities are exactly as listed. Except, the tap water turned my daughter's hair green (she's naturally blond), but its washed out now that we're back home no problem; the tap water tastes a bit odd, but is fine once boiled. The only noticable daily utility not provided was a hair dryer. Also, the washing machine dryer combination takes over 10 hours to wash anything; don't bother washing the towels or linen, new ones are provided by the landlord weekly (which we didn't realise). But, its a really great cottage and provides everything it claims to have. My son really enjoyed having a bath everyday, and my daughter loved to sit and write in the conservatory. The conservatory is definitely the best room in the bungalow as it's light and airy with a beautiful mountain view.

ABERLOUR
Elgin 15 miles.
The pretty town of Aberlour lies on the banks of the River Spey, and is surrounded by wonderful open countryside, with the Cairngorm Mountains on one side and the Moray Firth coast on the other. Noted for its presence on the Whisky Trail and for Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival visitors will be stunned to realise that there are 50 whisky distilleries within a 15 mile radius of the town. Many of these distilleries are well worth a visit as they have excellent visitor centres with plenty of tasting on offer. The area is a magnet for fishermen with the River Spey so close by, whilst walkers will certainly appreciate the fabulous walks and wildlife they will encounter en route through the Speyside Way, one of the four official Long Distance Routes in Scotland.
