"This is a really lovely, cosy cottage."
Very well equipped and comfortable. Our hosts, George and Anne met with us on arrival. Everything you could possibly need, they have provided. The location is quiet and peaceful with many different birds, including pheasants paying a visit for a feed. Would highly recommend this quaint little cottage to anyone looking for a holiday with plenty of walking or just to relax and watch the wildlife. George and Anne will make sure you have a fabulous time.

"Love the outside space for my 2 dogs."
Bird watching and pheasants. Lots to do places to go beaches and woods. Cafe in the village was lovely. Although I'd prefer a bit more counter top space in the kitchen. My parents enjoyed the shops in grantown on Spey. We got on with it. When on hols we don't rush to go everywhere. Would hope to get back there again some time in the summer.

"Lovely croft in pleasant and spacious grounds, a proper home from home."
Well equipped and very comfortable. We had many visiting birds every day, we even had deer visit us 3 times in the week we stayed. Blairgorm Croft is very dog friendly, our dog's could not wait to get out and explore the grounds at every day. Would recommend Blairgorm Croft for anyone looking to stay in this area. We had a lovely week thank you.

"I cannot understand the comments left by previous visitors regarding the height of ceilings, I am tall and had no issues whatsoever."
Nor can I understand the absurd comment about it being hard to find, I phoned Anne before leaving home and her directions were spot on. Blairgorm Croft was the ideal holiday cottage for my two dogs and I, warm, comfortable, clean and perfectly located. Anne and George were the perfect hosts, going above and beyond, responding immediately to one small issue. There are some lovely walks both from the cottage and within a short drive, we clocked up a fair number of miles on different walks and went off the beaten track knowing that we could relax in the cottage at the end of the day. It was especially useful to have the freezer which meant that shopping wasn’t necessary. I can highly recommend the cottage and the first class owners

"Beautiful location."
Ideal for dogs and great birdwatching from conservatory/lounge extension. Main bed comfortable but ensuite shower is very small and with tiny wash basin. Family bathroom OK but low ceiling if using bath as shower and better instructions needed for heating water for baths.
Upstairs not used but stairs steep and narrow so better suited to youngsters.

"A remarkable 400-year-old rejuvenated remote croft."
A real country retreat offering peace and quiet. Lots of dog walks nearby. Many birds to see on the bird feeder – we saw a woodpecker for the first time. Walking our dog late at night we also saw foxes and a deer. Bring a torch if you are venturing out at night. So peaceful at night that you can hear the animals and the wind in the trees – all great for a good night's sleep.
A very well-equipped kitchen and a great TV in the conservatory offering FreeSat. Even in the depths of winter, the croft was very warm inside, so we turned down the heating a little.
Very respectable WiFi given the location – 11 Mbps. Ignore the previous comments about low ceilings – I’m 5ft 8ins and never had an issue.
Do visit the farm shop in the village which has some lovely local produce.
On arrival ignore Google Maps, ignore your Sat Nav, and ignore the Sykes “What3Words” location. It's actually “flask.trading.risky”. The owners' directions were also spot on.

"The previous comments about head height in the property was a bit of desperation."
We never felt threatened by the low ceilings and my husband is about average height. The big TV in the conservatory was great. I wasn't allowed to go upstairs because of the steps so I never saw that bedroom. Most of the 'white goods' looked to be brand new and the heating was relatively easy to work. The owners were only a telephone away if we had needed them.

"It was not made clear how low the ceiling and door heights were, ( my husband had head damage)."
The stair was extremely dangerous, again poor head height. Upstairs toilet was tiny, and virtually unusable. Too far to walk to Nethybridge. Building does not pass building regulations, it is only suitable for two small people with dogs. Location was lovely, but access to the river was totally overgrown and impossible. Directions to property need to be improved. Area beautiful.

"Location for local area had good road links to the local towns and attractions."
Advertised as having a stream through the property although access to the stream is impossible due to extensive undergrowth. I felt the property would not suit the 6 person capacity as advertised as the internal space and natural light in the centre of the property is quite restricted due to the structure of the building being an outbuildings conversion. The conservatory was a really nice addition, a comfortable place to sit in the evening.
However, the bird feeder attracted more than 20 different species during our stay, with most of them attending on a regular basis.

"The owners contacted us prior to our arrival with specific directions to the property from Nethy Bridge and this was very helpful and precise."
We were asked to keep the bird feeders restocked which we were happy to do. We were repaid with a significant range of birds including and woodpecker with fledged young, goldcrest, chaffinch, goldfinch, various tits etc. A tranquil and relaxing location close to the amenities in Nethy Bridge yet easy to travel into the Cairngorms for walks etc. The garden room is a relaxing space to watch the birds etc. Accommodation clean and comfortable.

"Very sorry but we were disappointed."
Finding the place was a night mare, the cottage name plate is obscured by the permanently open five bar gate, and with the cottage being very very small, with only 6ft head room, and although it is mostly ground floor, it is on three levels with steps between each level, so not disabled or tall man friendly. The babbling brook in the garden, is 200yds away down a very steep weeded glen, so you cant get at it, so bob the Black Lab was disappointed too, and whilst it has very large banked garden, there are no dog walks readily available, and sheep every where, which whilst Bob is used to and sheep friendly, other peoples dogs may not be. Finally the village and the pub is long way away away, further than described, a good drive, perhaps three or four miles, and very up hill, all in alcohol free Scotland, so one is confined to barracks, or obstinance.
Sorry but we do think the cottage was somewhat miss sold and the descriptions miss leading.
Sorry but we

"I wouldn't necessarily recommend Sykes hence the initial score of five, However, this was a very comfortable and pleasant cottage to stay in."
The bedrooms were a reasonable size and having three bathrooms was great. The sitting room/conservatory was a particularly enjoyable room. The ceilings are low but that only affected the two of us who are over 6ft. The kitchen is a little cramped but perfectly usable. A bigger fridge would be nice but there is a separate freezer which helps. WiFi was good and worked well throughout the house. The owners were very friendly, good people who we met at the changeover. Altogether a very happy stay.

"Your description of cosy really means small."
Very good cottage for us two but would be somewhat crowded if all 6 bed spaces were occupied. Description should mention the low ceiling (inevitable with a 1760's croft conversion). We are not tall, people over 6 feet would struggle with the low ceilings. Very well equipped and a superb peaceful location and very welcoming owners. Excellent bird feeders in garden viewed from very small sitting room with good supplies of bird food available. Good car parking space. Perfect cottage for bird watchers.

"We really enjoyed our stay at Blairgorm Croft, the cottage was spotlessly clean, warm, very comfortable and very well equipped."
The location is peaceful and quiet and provides an ideal location for visiting the many local attractions and the many walks nearby, an added bonus was a large forest just across the stream at the bottom of the garden, which gave an ideal walk for our two dogs in the early morning. Our only complaint is that the property description says that there is an enclosed garden which is incorrect, there is a large garden which is enclosed on two sides but open at the front and to the stream at the rear.

"Location of cottage brilliant to visit cairngorm bird and wildlife sites."
We also visited the Scottish Wildlife Park 45 mins and Channoray Point on the Murray Firth to take in the Forth resident dolphins feeding on the salmon 40 to 50 meters from the shore what a site. Check tide times and go on the incoming 1-2 hours before high tide. If you get up 5-6am red and fallow deer can be spotted near to the cottage and in the wood across the stream below the cottage car park. Enjoy your break as we did.
