• "A very well equipped property with an excellent panoramic sea view!"

  The location is very convenient for local shops … and very quiet from a traffic perspective. Especially appreciated touches - ‘plumbed in’ showers (rather than stand alone electric showers), generously sized bath towels … and the ‘welcome basket’. One small suggestion - an electric towel rail for the downstairs en suite (listed in cottage description but we didn’t see it!)

• "As soon as we walked in we could see how clean and well decorated it is."

  Then walking into the living room and seeing the beautiful view through the double doors out to the kitchen was breath-taking. Stunning views everyday no matter the weather, Everything about the home signals quality, from furniture, to bedding to bathrooms to kitchen set up. Everything. It is in a great position for town, cafe's, walking, driving distance to beautiful Cullen and Findhorn. Despite being so close to the sea, it was very quiet too, gull wise. Having stayed coastal for the past few years in Scotland, this was very welcome. Safe to say this is one of the best accommodations we ever stayed in.

• "Wow! What a stunning property in an idyllic location."

  Amazing sea views. The house was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The hosts were communicative and welcoming. We loved the welcome hamper. • "Learig provided us with a most comfortable short stay."

  It was an ideal base for exploring along the coast and a welcome place to return to at the end of a cold, blowy day. The view from the dining table out to sea made it easy to take long breakfasts and other relaxed meals. Perhaps having a visitors' book would help with suggestions of other guests' favourite places to visit and venues for meals out. Thank you. Shelagh

• "Beautiful property in a stunning location."

  Short walk to the shops. Views outstanding overlooking the sea. We even saw 2 dolphins which was amazing to watch. Property has everything in it you could need. Welcome hamper was a lovely surprise. Overall would definately book here again if in the area.

  It has every comfort and the kitchen is well supplied with lots of crockery cutlery and glasses for every eventuality. The a welcome basket was a lovely surprise and the Prosecco much appreciated following Scotland's football team's miserable defeat against Germany in the Euros

  The view over the sea was stunning, especially in the evenings as the sun was setting. The house is well appointed and well furnished and had everything one could wish for. There were lots of options for walking the dog and some lovely beaches and coastal towns for all of us to enjoy.

• "Learig is easy to find in Buckie."

  I used google maps and followed the owners directions to the property before we arrived so that I could see the route exactly. The cottage is warm, clean and beautifully furnished with the most spectacular views over the Moray Firth. There is a well set out instruction folder with details regarding the property and appliances. The owners provided a lovely welcome basket with some Scottish treats which we thoroughly enjoyed. And the provision of binoculars was great for scanning the horizon. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need to prepare meals. There are also washing up liquid, dishwasher pods, tea towels, hand wash and cleaning products provded. The sitting room has comfortable sofas upholstered with Harris tweed, which are very cosy on cool evenings. The instructions for the tv were easy to follow and we watched some great films. The beds are quite firm but comfortable and we slept well. The bedding is high quality and the towels soft. The shower we used, on the ground floor, was excellent with plenty of hot water, but a little snug. I used the washing machine and tumble dryer whilst there, both were very easy to use and efficient. The tumble dryer water tank and fluff filters had not been cleaned out by a previous guest even though there are instructions to do this, so I did it, and left them cleaned after use. I was unfortunately unable to clean out the condenser as it is recessed and my ancient knees wouldn’t allow me to get down low enough to retrieve it! Perhaps the owner could consider that the tumble dryer be checked by the cleaning team on change over day. The bins are the four nearest the house at the side of the parking space. We found the general waste bin quite full already when we arrived but managed to squeeze in our bag of rubbish at the end of our stay. Fortunately the bin lorry was in the locality on the day we left, so hopefully it was emptied. The brown bin seemed to have a mixture of various sorts of rubbish and was very smelly, this may need attention. As it was unclear which bin the food waste bag went in, we unfortunately ended up putting it in the general rubbish bin. Perhaps the owners could consider adding a note to the instruction folder regarding the correct bins for particular types of rubbish. Despite the bin niggles, we had a lovely week in Buckie and enjoyed staying in this super property and would recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable place to stay in this beautiful area of Scotland. We would also recommend a visit to Lily’s Kitchen Cafe in Cullen for the most delicious Cullen Skink, sheer heaven in a soup bowl!

• "Learig is in a perfect location for exploring the Moray Coast."

  The house is comfortable and well equipped. The kids loved the games. It has everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The photos simply don’t do the views justice. We loved looking out onto the sea with an uninterrupted view of storm Babet. At night we watched the meteor shower from the bedroom skylight. The communication from the owner was great. We will definitely be back! Thanks

  Learig was a very well furnished and stocked cottage with the most beautiful view from the panoramic windows in the kitchen. Learig is also very well insulated so even tho it was cold outside we were very warm and cosy inside. We would definitely recommend and would book again next time we're in the area

• "We regularly stay on the west coast of Scotland our first time on the east coast and what a surprise."

  We loved Buckie and nearby coastal fishing villages, they all had their harbours, no parking charges, clean public toilets and very friendly locals. The property was first class, everything you needed and even had Sky sports, have never had that before in a holiday home. We have stayed in rented holiday accommodation across the UK and US, this is one of the best.

• "A really lovely, comfortable, well-equipped and dog-friendly holiday cottage with amazing sea views."

  We spent a lot of time in the dining room enjoying the view. The 3 bathrooms and downstairs bedroom were ideal for a multi- generational family holiday. Good communication from the owners and the welcome basket was a nice touch. Lots of things to do locally, with pretty wee towns and stunning beaches close by. We all loved the house and plan to come back soon!

• "Learig is a wonderful house in Buckie that allows you to explore the Moray coast and beyond."

  The cottage and its facilities are first class and the views are outstanding with a lovely welcome basket on arrival too. My partner, my two children (aged 12 & 14) and our wee dog had a fantastic time and the overall verdict was one of we will be back. Once again Skye’s have a great listing on their site and the owner is first class on communications too when it was needed..
