  • "We highlighted the many issues related to this property and stay, extremely disappointed with company response on dashboard."

Have booked many times with Skye and have always found property’s are off a certain high standards. Not this time. Won’t be using again.

  • "The property was not easy to find initially."

The instructions are not accurate, access is extremely narrow and it is hard to see how there would be room for the three cars mentioned. What was obviously a gorgeous garden has been left to grow wild. The summerhouse is locked. Our main issue was that all three external doors are extremely difficult and, for some of us, impossible to lock/unlock. The caretaker's number was unobtainable. Some instructions for the appliances would be helpful, we could not persuade the oven to work. The recycling waste had not been collected and no information is given about where and when it should be put out, and the refuse bin only appeared on our last day.

Thank you for your review, we hope the issues mentioned did not spoil your stay, the entrance to the property does seem quite narrow but we can drive an American truck through so if you drive slowly it is doable, historic harbour villages sometimes have quaint little entrances due to their not being so many cars in those days, I’m very sorry, the gardener could not mow the lawn due to it being so wet as we had had a very bad bout of bad weather, the gardener cut the grass after 1 day of your stay so I hoped that sorted that matter too, the summer house belongs to the owner, it is an ironing room and if in the future I decide to share it, I will leave the key, there is enough parking space for 3 efficient drivers, the door has been replaced now so I’m sorry that it was stiff at the time of your use, the cooker instructions are in the drawer under the cooker, nothing complicated and we always give our phone number to anyone who stays at our home, we are available to ring 24 hours per day, I hope this all helps, thank you, positive feedback always appreciated Property Owner

  • "Disappointed not to Sykes usual standard loved the views and liked the new kitchen."

However, very disappointed with the overgrown ,unkempt garden .Some comfy outdoor seating would have been appreciated as what was there was old ,dirty or broke. Summer house unusable Kitchen well equipped but needs more crockery as some chipped and not enough for party of nine .Needs new table mats and more coasters. As a party of 9 with 2 young children a tumble dryer would have been useful One bathroom was dated and the other needs a blind at the unfrosted window ,but the showers were good. Very poor information pack just a piece of paper -no info re recycling etc and all recycling bins full ,not been emptied for a while All external doors difficult to lock /unlock informed the contact number given - no response

  • "Lovely house and gardens with great views of Quay and harbour."

Enjoyed watching the Harbour Porpoise each day. Adelphi pub quaint with good beer and pies. Also Chippy has tasty fish and chips. Amlwch is a good base for travelling around the island

  • "House was lovely and clean."

The property manager was very helpful and did tell us that the house is still undergoing some updating. We also found the mattresses on the double beds uncomfy but that could be personal preference. All in all we had a lovely stay in this clean spacious house and had a lovely welcome pack. Despite the lack of walk in shower would recommend and return.

  • "The location of the house was fantastic - sitting in the conservatory overlooking the sea."

The access to the house is a little narrow but completely manageable if you take it carefully. There was plenty of room for us all, the house was very very clean and comfortable, the new kitchen was absolutely gorgeous and we had a wonderful week on Anglesey. We had a very warm welcome from Ronnie and Nia and they were super helpful with any queries we had during our stay. Highly recommended.

  • "The facilities were not to sykes normal cleanliness."

We have being to various cottages from Sykes/Menai for 19 years. When we booked the holiday we were under the impression from sykes website that it had a walk in shower and that's why we chose this because 2 of us needed a walk in shower as we have health issues. One of the bathrooms was outdated and sink loose. Also it stated that it had a summer house but it was a dumping ground so couldn't be used. We did like the cottage and conservatory was beautiful with amazing views. The garden does need attention in some areas and once its up to Sykes normal standards we would holiday there again.
