Lovely, well equipped bungalow with ample parking for our 3 cars and fab views. We visited Llanddwyn Bay, South Stack lighthouse, Red Wharf Bay, Amlwch Port and quite a few pubs, great pies at Adelphi Vaults, pool table but no food at Kings Head, lovely food at a bistro called Skye's, nice curry at Rozis Tandoori, huge portions at Pilot Boat in Dulas, really nice and well priced food at the Dinorben Arms and has a pool table. Every single place we went to we were warmly greeted. All in all we had a great holiday and will be back.

Lovely sea view over the fields and only a short drive into the town. The town is a bit run down in places but the property is very conveniently located for access to the whole island. The bungalow is comfortable, well equipped and cosy. It is also ideally placed for walking the Coastal Path which we did on three separate days using local buses to get to our start points and finishing less than five minutes away. The views of the sea from the bungalow are special too.

  • "What a lovely location with beautiful views."

The bungalow was spacious and felt homely, nicely decorated and plenty of parking space. With it being late in the season some of the kitchen equipment was ‘tired’ - frying pan and roasting tray need replacing, knives are virtually blunt, a few more glasses and mugs would be good too. I cleaned the cutlery tray and attempted to rectify the awful smell coming from the sink. The cooker, microwave and washing machine worked fine. We found the lounge very homely and comfortable. The bedrooms were well equipped but we found the bed in the double room a bit uncomfortable. The bathrooms were well equipped and spacious. The details for the property states that pub and shop is five minutes walk from bungalow and beach 10 minutes walk - both of these statements are optimistic and misleading: we certainly couldn’t walk to shops in 5 minutes and we’re not slow walkers. The ‘beach’ you refer to I assume is The Creek, which at best could be described as a tiny cove - and took us twenty minutes. It might be worth mentioning that the path to the tiny beach may be a challenge to some people, one of our party of four couldn’t manage the terrain or steep steps. All in all though, we enjoyed our week in Anglesey, and would recommend the bungalow to anyone that wants a quiet location with plenty of walk.

Plenty of pans and utensils to cook anything you want. Generally clean (bit of a “doggy smell” from the rug in the living room and a few “stray sweets” down the end of the bunk beds from a previous occupant) but the bathrooms and kitchen were fab and beds comfy. All mod cons with Sky TV and WiFi to keep the teen happy, and the conservatory was just lovely and peaceful especially in the sunshine. Gardener came just as we were leaving so we’d unfortunately got the week the grass was a bit long (and had hidden some dog poo from previous occupant- of course the 3 year old stood in it!), but garden was very secure and felt safe to let both the dog and the 3 year old wander. Would definitely recommend to anyone with a dog as a base for exploring the beautiful island of Anglesey.

The location is so beautifully quiet and relaxing with gorgeous sea views. The interior is decorated to a very high standard, the rooms are spacious and the owners seem to have thought very hard about every possible requirement you may have any tried to include it. TV's in every room, Alexa, Hifi systems, hairdryer, ironing board and toastie machine to name just a few. A lovely welcome basket was also included. • "The holiday bungalow was immaculately clean upon arrival and the welcome pack was a nice gesture."

The bungalow is nicely decorated, modern and welcoming. We found the beds and sofa’s extremely comfortable and the property had most amenities. The view was amazing and a good base to visit all of the very pretty Island from. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED however that the owner had personally promised us in WhatsApp message to provide a dog crate for our puppy and failed to do so and didn’t even bother telling us. This left us having to get one upon arrival and is totally unacceptable. DISAPPOINTED 1) That all the knives and potato peeler were extremely blunt, which left preparing food difficult. 2) There were no egg cups for boiled eggs. 3) Bigger saucepans are needed 4) The grass was extremely long and needed cutting. 5) A bulb needs replacing in the family bathroom. 6) The drawers needed mending in the family bathroom 7) One of the outside ground lights were broken and loose upon arrival and we left it on the living room tv shelf. 8) The Sykes write up for the holiday bungalow says the garage would have deck chairs for use and be an area for storage of bikes etc but the garage was however locked and no key left out so this is false advertising. OVERALL this is a really lovely bungalow (which we enjoyed and found relaxing) but my above points need addressing and noting for future holiday makers.

Thank you for the comments regarding the bungalow and welcome pack etc. I have called (plus left voicemail) to profusely apologise for the mix-up regarding the dog crate that we had promised to provide, arrangements had been made and we though this was sent however I failed to check which is my responsibility, sorry. A WhatApp text or a call when arriving on the Saturday would have sorted this, unfortunately for ourselves we find this out during a public review, again we are sorry on this matter. Points 2 to 7 will swiftly reviewed and dealt with this week however please note the garage door key is hanging up in the kitchen (again could have been sorted with a call). Thank you for your feedback. Mr. Pritchard. Property Owner

We had no central heating or hot water for two days first of all to no oil in the tank and then the boiler broke down so we couldn’t shower or bath for two days. Tony, the maintenance man did his best to help us but it did put a damper on the holiday.

Thank you for your comments, we have tested out the mattresses and believe these to be comfortable, also noted by others, we will however review this again. The Worcester Bosch boiler pump failed, this was incorrectly diagnosed to be a lack of oil however was swiftly replaced the following day. • "We thought the location and space at the bungalow was great."

The beds and sofa were comfy and the facilities were as described. However, the furniture was a mismatch of cheap rubbish which was rather underwhelming and took away from the charm of the bungalow. The second bedroom lacked a wardrobe and a blind as the curtains were paper thin. The garden was anything but child/disabled friendly, it had a broken floor light, broken dog ornaments and the grass was too long. In the children’s room with the bunk bed there was a mass of wires on the floor which wasn’t safe for our 1 year old. The main reason this was only worth 2 stars is because of the lack of cleanliness. There was a strong dog smell in the lounge (I presume due to the shaggy rug) and white dog hairs everywhere, they ended up all over our clothes and even in our food. The cushion covers on the dining chairs were stained and in need of a good wash and there was plenty of dusty/cobwebbed corners.

The views out to sea are a real bonus and the area is extremely quiet with some easy walks nearby. There were only two ladies (and two dogs) in our party but we felt that if all 3 bedrooms were used the wardrobe space was very limited. There is nowhere to hang clothes in the second bedroom and so the children's bunk bedroom was used by us for this purpose. If this had been occupied, problems of access to clothes would have been created. We would also have welcomed some simple instructions about Hive controls and heated towel rails (we had to ring the owner) and about televisions. Not everyone has Sky and being of the older generation we were slightly out of our depth when trying to use two of the four TVs. There was also no information about what to do and see on Anglesey which was a shame for anyone not familiar with the island, as we were. These points are, however, minor grumbles and we had a very good holiday in a lovely part of the world and would certainly recommend Llecyn Braf.

There was not much information about the locality, unusual in our experience, and the cottage was looking tired and worn in some areas, I would recommend you take your own towels, those provided were small and thin, the tea towels didn’t dry well either. The secure garden was perfect for our two small dogs. Owner was helpful, easily contactable, and responded promptly to maintenance issues.

The house was spotlessly clean and well furnished. It was very dog friendly with a fully enclosed garden and lovely coastal walks a few minutes from the front door. We would definitely like to come back to this lovely area and house .
