  • "An incredible property, perfect for those with a young family."

The grounds are beautiful and spacious and the location was so close to everything we wanted to see and do. The apartment was kitted out with so many things that were helpful for a family trip away: a picnic/ cooler set, a slow cooker (with a cookbook!), lots of family games. My husband and I said we would need to bring much less next time. The local produce given to us was a sweet bonus. And the views! Wow - we cannot wait to stay again.

We found it really well equipped and comfortable. Rachel, the housekeeper, had left it spotlessly clean and Kerry and Steve, the owners, were swift to respond to any queries. We enjoyed a circular coastal path walk from Bull Bay, a visit to National Trust’s Plas Newydd, the long, sandy beach at Newborough Warren and the magical Hidden Garden just down the road. All in all, Nyth y Frân is a superb base from which to explore Anglesey.

Great comms from host Kerry to make sure everything was ready for our arrival. It was our first holiday being accompanied by two of our grandchildren. They loved the apartment, especially having their own little den in 'the crow's nest', where there were various board games etc to keep them amused in the evening before bedtime. We all had a fab time.

The property is very clean, bright, well-kept and the owners' provide excellent instructions with all things considered, even down to recycling being carried out by a commercial company. The property location is fabulous sitting on the Anglesey side of the Menai Strait with views across the water and out to the mountains, which are an ever changing panorama of weather, light and shade. A private garden is also available, although a tad chilly in Feb. Near by amenities are available in Menai Bridge and Beaumaris as well as further afield. Overall, we had a relaxing, enjoyable and lovely stay. highly recommended.

  • "Nyth Y Fran was a beautiful, well appointed, high end apartment."

The finish to all the fixtures and fittings was clearly top class and it was spotlessly clean. The welcome gifts we received were not only thoughtful but delicious as well. The only thing I would ask for differently would be a bath sheet rather than a bath towel but that is really being micro picky. The views from the apartment are lovely (even though we had shocking weather). I would say that as long as the lift is working it would suit anyone of any age and mobility but if it ever broke down I think the stairs could be an issue for some older guests. The steps down to the main road and the Gazelle pub were closed off for safety reasons( understandable) so it would have been a longer walk to the pub, which going down would have been fine but coming up a different matter. If you want easy, short walking distance to pubs and shops this may not be the place for you. Menai Bridge is just 5 mins or so away in the car but a good 40 mins walk I’d guess. Beaumaris is a drive not a walk away. Loved the place and we will be returning. Thank you Kerry and Steve.

Its views over the Menai Strait and the North Wales mountain range are stunning. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well equipped, a real home from home. • "This is a lovely apartment that is well-situated with great views over the Menai Straits, across to Bangor and to the peaks beyond."

Spectacular in any weather. The apartment was very clean and tidy upon arrival but also inviting. I don't think we lacked for anything. The welcome pack of local produce was a nice touch and appreciated. The lift links all floors and there are ramps for wheelchairs at the main entrance. Both bathrooms have modern walk-in showers and are effectively wet rooms. A word of warning - the apartment is built into the roof space and not ideal for tall people as there are beams and angled ceilings wherever you go. These are marked and even bear luminescent strips. However, taller visitors should be careful. We experienced weather that included high winds and lashing rain. During this we felt comfortable and snug, appreciating the atmosphere as the wind howled and rain hammered on the windows. The bad weather barely impacted upon us whilst within the accommodation. We visited in late October, which is hardly the best time to enjoy the gardens (both general and private) but can easily recommend these amenities - when the weather cleared the views from the property are well worth descending from the apartment. The directions to the apartment were helpful and accurate. The location is very convenient for reaching both Menai Bridge and Beaumaris locally, but also for visiting Anglesey and the mainland. As recommended, we tried the Gazelle Inn/Hotel nearby: well worth the visit (well, two actually): great location, great food and ambience, and lovely staff. Not cheap, but we thought it good value. However, one word of warning: the new flight of wooden steps to and from the residence are both steep and can be very slippery in wet conditions.

We have never stayed in an apartment before and were unsure what to expect. When we arrived we were presented with a stunning, yet beautifully quirky apartment and amazing views. The crows nest turret 'snug' is full of guide books and helpful information, the kitchen area very well equipped with one of the best washing up views ever and the other rooms are tastefully appointed and comfortable for a holiday at any time of the year. The addition of the private garden area is perfect and also provides more wonderful views across to Bangor, the sea and the iconic bridge across the Menai Straits. A small point - not really enough towels provided. A single hand towel and a medium size one each is not enough for a week's holiday and we would have expected at least one bath sheet. This apartment is a great base for days out and or to simply sit and admire the view - or both! We have used your company before and were glad to see that booking is still easy, communications excellent and pictures and descriptions accurate - many thanks.
