  • "Delightful interior!"

Very clean and very comfortable. A few minutes walk from the town in one direction and the Maritime Museum at the harbour in the other direction!

  • "Need to sort out heating."

I am disabled. No instructions on how it works. It is a very cold property even though weather outside was very warm. Internet was only really working in main area. Not in the bedrooms despite having big TVS. Parking was also an issue.

  • "We have just had a week’s holiday at the church."

On arrival we had difficulty parking in the car park at the side of the property as it has minimal parking spaces due to the general public parking/neighbours there most of the time. The property is lovely - the sofa is very small and would not occupy six people sitting for the evening. No opening windows in the main room which would have made it a bit cooler. A washing machine in the utility room would be ideal as only one bath towel per person for the week was provided. The town centre is not much to talk about but the harbour was a nice area to go to for an afternoon. Lovely places to go to visit though as long as you have a car.

  • "We had a fantastic time staying at the church."

The house is beautiful. One issue I would say is parking. It wasn’t that clear where you could park. There seemed to be a space next to the Church but wasn’t sure. This just needs to be a bit clearer. The car park next door is only short stay. There is also no outside space so with the dog it made it a little tricky going out just before bed. This is my fault though for not checking properly before I booked. I would recommend a welcome book with all details in i.e heating/wifi/local numbers that would help. The location is very central. Thank you for a lovely stay.

About the location

HOLYHEAD

Trearddur Bay 3 miles.

The bustling town of Holyhead rests on the North West coast of the Isle of Anglesey, the largest town on the island and perhaps known best for being the main ferry port to Ireland. Steeped in history, the town boasts the remains of Roman town walls and forts, medieval burial chambers and stone village foundations. Explore the Breakwater Country Park, a former quarry, which offers designated walks through the grounds. The park is full of interesting wildlife, most notably the seals who visit the Holyhead coast, and outlines the amazing construction of the world's longest breakwater, some 1.8 miles, which today protects the harbour. Visit the colourful marina with its yachts and tall ships, or the town's maritime museum, with its tales of 100 shipwrecks in the vicinity. Day trips to Ireland can be enjoyed easily from here, with Dublin just 90 minutes away on the fast ferry. With spectacular cliff top walks over Holyhead Mountain, golden sandy beaches at the award winning Trearddur Bay and the Snowdonia National Park just a 20 minute drive away, this is a superb holiday location, at any time of the year.
