Very clean and with all the facilities you could want. Lovely location only a short drive to many beaches and towns. For me the only problem was the furniture was low and difficult to get up from but thats because I'm recovering from an accident a problem for me and not the properties fault. But if you do have mobility problems this accommodation is not for you as the stairs are steep too. My dad and i enjoyed our stay and the owner was really nice. We will definitely come back when i am more mobile. I would thoroughly recommend this property.

  • "What an amazing, relaxing place to stay."

The photos of the cottage look lovely but once you arrive you realise what a welcoming, homely place it is. It’s spacious and well laid out and you can tell it was once a loved family home and not just a rental property. We spent most of our time in the morning room overlooking the fields and over to Holyhead. We very rarely switched the TV on at night as you had so much to see outside. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds very comfy. We had two spaniels so with us and plenty of room for the dogs. It’s a working farm so expect to see the tractor pass by the windows. Einion, the farmer, is a lovely bloke. He gave us a tour of the farm and animals which our 8 year old loved. He’s always on hand if you need anything. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked to stay again next year.

As many reviewers have already commented the house was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and we all suffered from 'sticky mattress' syndrome as the beds were so comfy. All in all it felt like a real home from home. There are lovely views over the countryside to the harbour in Holyhead. Several beaches are within walking/driving distance and plenty to occupy both us and the dogs even in December! The cottage is ideally placed to visit many of the attractions on the island and there is comprehensive information within the cottage of things to see and do. A big thank you to Einion, for his warm welcome and attention to detail. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would happily return to his lovely house.

The house was amazing, from cleanliness, to the size, to the comfort, everything was perfect. We went as a group of 5 adults and 2 children (aged 3 and 2) plus a dog. The house was more than big enough to accommodate us all. The views were something else, the peacefulness, the home from home feeling, honestly, if I could rate this house higher, I would! We walked from the house to the rocky coast, I'd say it took around 20 mins (as described in information) which was lovely and then we also drove to the Sandy Beach which took around 10 mins if that, this was stunning and when we come back we will be revisiting here! We didn't want to leave and will most certainly be rebooking! Wish we stayed longer to be able to explore the surroundings more.

  • "Ty Top Farm - Llanfaethlu, Anglesey Ty Top farm is a cracking location if you want stunning views over the fields towards the sea, dark skies for a good night’s sleep and wake up to young cows mooing, wanting their breakfast."

The house was warm , comfortable, peaceful and spacious enough to accommodate 8 adults and our staffie dog and the enclosed garden was a Godsend – and the main reason we booked the house to be honest. Yes, our family holidays evolve around where our pampered pooch will do a wee. The large master bedroom with en-suite shower has dual aspect views to front and rear of the property, with a really comfy bed and quality pillows. I spent hours looking out the window across the fields watching the cows and sheep do their thing. The three other bedrooms can be switched around to accommodate single beds or joined together – just ask beforehand. The master bathroom has a very deep Jacuzzi bath with shower over, but oddly we didn’t use it – the showers in the property were great so we mainly used them. Stairgates at the top and bottom of the stairs provide security and stopped the dog running up them. Downstairs there’s a large kitchen, and WC with shower and rear door to the farmyard – the lounge has a pair of really comfy sofa’s – and is where we spent our evenings watching Clarkson’s Farm while the adult kids were in the conservatory attached to social media. We had a farmyard adventure when the escape artist cows got out of their shed, but we got them back in for Mr Owen – I guess growing up on a dairy farm helped ;-) This is the first time we have stayed on Anglesey, after visiting for a beach day last year. (I decided I’m fed up of the 10 hour drive back from Devon and Cornwall that we’ve done since 1989!) The farm is 10 minutes drive from Sandy Beach, and I definitely recommend you visit it an hour before high tide – or you’ll be walking to the water…. A car is necessary though to visit other places. I took my FPV camera drones and managed to get some cracking footage of the farm and Sandy beach at sunrise, daytime and sunsets. Awesome scenery and plenty of birds eye views of Anglesey’s beautiful landscapes (keep out of restricted airspace on Anglesey folks). I really cannot express more how much we loved staying at Ty Top Farm. We were made to feel really welcome by the Farmer Einion Owen and we had plenty of good chats throughout our holiday. I would definitely stay there again 100% and give Ty Top 10 out of 10! Thanks Eric, Elaine, Sarah, Stuart, Alice, Adrian, Elliott, Ella and Poppy the Dog.

The inside of the property was cosy and well laid out for a family break, with everything you could think you’d need. We loved the sunroom, and the patio overlooking the enclosed garden which was really safe to let the little ones run free. Fantastic communication from Einion prior to and during our stay. The only thing I would note was that the advert states a pub is close by, this is ‘The Black Lion’ and is less pub, more restaurant, which looks fabulous on the website but not somewhere we visited. A lovely part of the world for walking and trips to the beach, our children and grandchildren all said they wanted to return. Our dog, who is a bit of an escape artist, didn't find a way out of the garden and really seemed to enjoy her holiday as well. • "We were fortunate enough to be the first to visit Ty Top post lockdown."

We only booked a few weeks beforehand as our foreign holiday was cancelled but we all agreed that it had actually worked out for the best as we had a brilliant time. Ty Top is a beautiful house with everything you need for a relaxing family holiday. There were 6 of us including 2 teen boys who could each have their own bedroom (bliss). Bathroom wise it was great too, as we had a lovely en-suite shower room, the grandparents had the upstairs bathroom with the shower and jacuzzi bath and the boys used the shower wet room downstairs. There is lots of space downstairs - even better than the photos. We took a portable bbq and often sat out on the patio enjoying the views of the countryside and the sea in the distance and also the comings and goings on the farm. Einion, the owner, is really friendly and helpful and can answer any queries. He had sent us all the info about the house and surrounding area prior to our arrival so we were well prepared and had planned out our stay. We had a few sunny days so visited a few local beaches. My favourite was Cemaes Bay (about 10 mins in the car) as it was easy to park, very family friendly and has a good WiFi signal (very important for teens apparently). As the COVID rules in Wales meant no indoor restaurants or cafes could open we ate at the house. We got a Tesco delivery midweek but there is a local shop that sells all the basics. We had a takeaway one night from the Black Lion down the road which was very tasty. The grandparents loved the seafood platter. There aren’t really any negatives to report. It was the summer in the countryside so you have to expect a few flies. If you sleep with the windows open you’ll hear the cows quite early but that’s also to be expected and you’re on holiday so you can go back to sleep. We all loved having the heifers close by. Although it was a relaxing holiday, we still managed to be a bit active. Our inflatable kayak was launched a few times, we did a rib boat ride out to Puffin Island from Menai and fitted in the Velocity zip wire at Penrhyn Quarry on the way home. It wasn’t the holiday we had originally planned for this year but it was definitely the holiday we needed. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

This 'cottage' is a lovely house with amazing views over Holyhead from a large sunroom which became our main room. We used the large living room only for watching DVDs with the children and as a quiet space. There's a large dining kitchen with a table which comfortably sat 12. Small, enclosed grass area ideal for children and a patio with seating. Barbecue area too. Bedrooms comfy - children loved the jacuzzi bath! No hanging space in two smaller bedrooms - would suggest small wardrobe from master be resited on the landing perhaps. Einion, the owner couldn't have been more pleasant. He welcomed us and took the children on a farm tour which they're still talking about. Lovely quiet bay a mile and a half away - seemed a long walk but 2 mins in a car. Sand, shallow water, rock pools. (No shade) Shop not exactly local! No problem if you shop en route to somewhere. All in all this is just a perfect place for a family or friends holiday. Loved it.
