  • "The pictures were very deceiving it's a lot smaller than anticipated but thats Sykes for you!"

The Annexe itself was lovely well equiped bed was a little hard for us but looked brand new. The owners were very welcoming a lovely left us tea coffee milk eggs and other very thoughtful stuff. It was very clean. The views at the back were spectacular and on a clear day you could see snowdon. Would recommend this place most definitely! For small or low energy dogs rather than the nutcase we took.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Plas Marchog."

The owners, Arwel & Debbie, were both lovely people and on hand next door to offer help if needed. For our arrival they had left a welcome pack: milk, eggs and waffles together with flowers and a welcome card on the table. Everything for a comfortable stay had been thought about and provided. The bed was very comfy with bright and cheerful bed linen. The plentiful towels were ultra white and soft. Pip, our pup, thought it a great place to be ( especially as there were some treats left for him) and wasted no time exploring the fully enclosed back garden while we soaked up the jaw dropping view across to the Snowdonia on mainland. Pip especially enjoyed investigating the regular evening visitor….. Herbert the hedgehog!! We totally enjoyed exploring the island and were blessed with some glorious weather for our week. We would certainly like to return as there are still many places we didn’t get to see. All in all would thoroughly recommend Plas Marchog to would be travellers looking for a peaceful retreat. Thank you again Arwel & Debbie.

We loved it here, as we did last year, hence our return. If you are looking for a peaceful holiday, with totally secure garden for your dog, beautiful views and clean, comfortable accommodation then this is the place for you.

  • "We had a wonderful holiday at Plas Marchog, the property was very clean and comfortable."

The garden was ideal for our Border Collie although she did try and jump over the wall at the bottom of the garden one time but we think this was because the adjoining field was full of sheep and probably temptation got the better of her! The patio was ideal for having a quiet cup of tea and looking at Snowdonia, beautiful. The wildlife in and around the garden was lovely, rabbits, lesser spotted woodpecker, bullfinches, pheasants, coal tits and lots more. I think it’s also the first time that we’ve stayed at a rural place where the internet/wifi and tv all worked perfectly which was a blessing when the England football matches were on. Overall a very peaceful location. Will definitely return.

  • "The cottage and facilities cannot be improved on, they were all that were needed for a comfortable stay."

The surrounding countryside and distant views of the Welsh mountains was wonderful. I was joined on the lawn for breakfast by an inquisitive cock pheasant, over in the adjacent field a flock of sheep and a family of rabbits. The property is very secluded and provided the peace and quiet I was looking for. The location was ideal for visiting towns and beaches nearby, and travel to the Llyn Peninsula for the day was great. The garden is fully enclosed and provides peace of mind regarding your pets safety I myself will return in the near future. If the bedroom had twin beds I could return with my son or a close friend of mine who enjoys fishing, it would be a chance to share this idyllic location. Thank you Arwel and Debbie for all the attention and helpful messages you sent during May stay.

Comfortable, warm and cosy. The views are fantastic, hard to move out of the lovely enclosed garden. Great wi-fi and smart TV make dark nights enjoyable and restful. Powerful shower with endless hot water. Comfortable bed, fabulous towels and linen. All that we missed was a freezer to stock up on food but the Spar in Pentraeth is great so we managed that way. The views are stunning, patio doors open out on to heaven. Great WIfi reception, television viewing, in fact its a secret jewel in the crown on the Island, and sadly (being selfish) everyone has to share the secret! Arwell and Debbie are the perfect hosts, perfect in every way, full of local information and delightful as neighbours. Nothing was too much trouble for Arwell, and we were left to come and go as we pleased. Our two spaniels loved the garden, especially Mavis and Ethel the pheasants and Bertie the bunny! Lovely and peaceful sitting on the patio with a coffee watching the dogs enjoying themselves running around in the secure, fully enclosed lawned garden. Arwel our host greeted us explained all we needed to know. The cottage has everything you need for your stay, even a spare dog leash and some toys. It is clean and in great condition. It was raining when we arrived and misty the morning after. That changed during the day and we had a great day out. On our return early evening had the most amazing view of the Snowdonia Mountains from the patio. Later in the evening sat indoors still looking at the amazing view two foxes passed through the garden. Being two minutes from the A5025 it has easy access to the Island and Snowdonia.
