  • "The end of another wonderful stay!"

Izzy says "Can we come back next year?!". It's such a lovely spot - such a lovely beach and so safe. We've enjoyed watching the rabbits, the red squirrel, the young pheasants and were excited to see a stoat. Seen all the way. Thank you! The Stabbs family!

  • "The property is in a beautiful position and has gorgeous gardens and is close to the beach."

It is very tastefully decorated with some beautiful pictures and bedding etc is good quality. The sitting room sofas had not been hoovered under the cushions and we found some debris. Many of the cushions are over worn and need replacing. The is a lovely dining area and a nice kitchen with a good range of crockery. But the single frying pan is not large enough for 8 persons and it was frustrating to try and cook with it. The property has a lovely sitting room aspect. Overall a beautiful property (a few things anice need improving as above and we enjoyed our stay.

We are sorry over the drop in cleaning standards, we have been assured the checks are being acted upon & the owner personally completed her own check on 2nd August to arrange for cushions to be replaced. We note your comment on the Frying Pan however there is also a heavy base saute pan usable for frying...Also on 2nd August there were 2 blinds replaced which were a bit threadbare as well as new J Lewis soft towels.,,, please do come again to enjoy the beautiful coastline and the special Traeth Ora Beach Property Owner

  • "Gorgeous location."

Beautiful house. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay over Christmas. The beach literally a stones throw away, and just perfect. Nice quiet location, very picturesque. Constructive feedback- Frying pan needs to be non stick, was a bit of a nightmare to cook with. Oven inconsistent in terms of cooking times, could do with a better oven. Heating set and locked, we did contact for the heating to be adjusted as it was a bit cold. This was actioned immediately which was great. Just not ideal not been able to adjust accordingly yourself. The blinds in the bathrooms could do with been replaced as they are looking a bit tired , damp/mould stains from steam etc. Little things but they make a difference. Overall lovely stay, would recommend and visit again.

Thank you for staying with us and we appreciate your constructive comments - We do supply stainless steel frying pans given the non stick ones do not last and get abused. The central heating radiator system is Ground Source served and with a lower circulating temp has to be on constant and controlled remotely with experience due to guests not realising there is no instant change in tempretaure so with experience 99% of guests prefer 20.5-21' dependant on weather conditons. The en suite window valance will be replaced and the stove is marked for an upgrade. Property Owner

  • "Lovely property in a stunning location."

Plenty of room for the 5 of us with space to spare. The kitchen & utility room were really well equipped and had everything we needed for a relaxing week on Anglesey. Just a small note, some of the soft furnishings (mainly cushions, bedspreads, seating in the sun room area) could do with a refresh as they have been well used, understandable due to the popularity of this lovely house, and are looking slightly stained now. We used this gorgeous property as a base to explore the island and would recommend its location to anyone.

So kind of you to provide a review and please note yes the deep clean has been delayed but is booked out in early November to carry out some further improvements & deep clean of furnishings. Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings."

We were however disappointed that despite following the instructions and phoning through our desired bed configuration in advance that the beds were not made up as requested. We had to clean the microwave before we could use it and the sofas and mattress/pillow protectors were all stained. It just needs some TLC to bring it back up to scratch in places but otherwise it is a great place to stay.

We have finally received a response from the letting agents. I understand you asked the letting agents if the En suite could be converted from Super King to Zip Link Twins. We advised you this could not be done but we had 2 twin beds in 2 other bedrooms however no configuration response was issued by you. As for the stains we found very minor staining to the super king protector which has been replaced and we have replaced 1 pillow and 1 pillow protector. We therefore refute the comment that ALL protectors were stained. We have spoken to the cleaning team to ensure standards do not slip on linen change and microwave/kitchen cleaning eqt. It is in an excellent location. Lovely fixtures and furnishings great welcome pack. So disappointed that our request - telephoned through and agreed re bed set up was ignored/ forgotten. Cleaning needs to be bit more thorough too. Cobwebby/ dusty in places and kitchen work tops gritty. But overall a gorgeous cottage in a perfect location.

We are sorry about the drop in standard and we are addressing the issue with the housekeeping company. The email confirming the change in zip- & link seemed to have gone amiss between Sykes & the cleaning company and again we apologise for this. Property Owner

  • "We have become regular visitors to Penryhn Farm and absolutely love the location and the property."

This was our second New Year visit and whilst the weather was very wet, and the coast path very muddy, the beach and estuary walks are just beautiful regardless. We do visit other places on the island but have never found anywhere better. The outdoor washing facilities got plenty of use! The house itself has clearly had some investment since our last visit, with a couple of new appliances and interior decoration. It's clear the owners listen to feedback and have a real desire to maintain the standard of comfort. For us, we would probably prefer a more basic filter coffee machine or catetiere to the sophisticated Smeg machine, which we found a bit awkward. Such a small point, in what was otherwise a fabulous stay as always and already looking forward to our next visit in Spring. Also a quick thanks to the couple who we found cleaning when we arrived. They had been asked to come at short notice due to illness and despite having less time, the house was spotless.

We are so pleased to have repeat custom. With a busy 2022 it was imperative we catch up with improving by listening to feedback. Point noted concerning the coffee machine however there should have been a cafetiere there but we will ask housekeeping to double check. Property Owner

The location speaks for itself, so beautiful and peaceful, birds pheasants and dozens of rabbits very much a safe Watership down. The trees in their Autumn glory and of course that beautiful view of the sea, with a lovely walk to which often seemed our very own private beach. We hope to return and interested in any other accommodation you may have, or offers for just 2 people. We found some amazing walks along the coastal path which was right on our doorstep. Penrhyn Farm is very well equipped and stylishly decorated. The living area was spacious and we all ejoyed relaxing in there enjoying the spectacular view. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return to the area. The only constructive feedback we would like to pass on is to echo recent comments about cleanliness which we thought would have been actioned by the time we visited. Our dog found a dusty old dog chew under the kitchen television cabinet and sweets under the sofa in the front room. The floor area near the tumble dryer had thick black fluff along the bottom of the skirting board and the area behind the downstairs toilet was dusty and grubby. Much of the skirting boarding could have done with a thorogh wipe and we found a couple of pairs of socks on top of the radiators behind the curtains. As noted previously by guests checkout time is 9am and we are requested to strip tbe beds which should assist the cleaners in achieving higher standards. We sincerely hope our comments and those of previous guests are acted upon as we would love to and would return. L Jordan & S Mundford

The conservatory area would benefit from mats both inside & outside the house to wipe feet on, as the inside rug is showing signs of wear & tear. We were a group of 5 adults and so there was plenty of space which was great. Although we though it would benefit from a shower facility downstairs, however. The garden is beautiful so peaceful & with its own apple orchard and truly wonderful views, just heavenly. We had a fabulous week with amazing weather, a beautiful beach 5 mins walk & direct access to the coastal path, it is a stunning holiday house we absolutely loved staying @ Penrhyn Farm & we would book again. We would like to feedback on the cleaning which requires improving & was not great considering you have to vacate @ 9am and cannot go in until 5 pm, that's a whopping 8 hours to clean the property thoroughly. We found dead flies & moths on the floor, chocolate wrappers under the lounge settee's and McDonald's happy meal toys under the beds in the downstairs twin room. There were spindly spiders & a web attached to the Master bedroom bedside table & the bed cushions were just shoved in the cupboard. Quite a lot of the kitchenware needed to be washed again as it was dirty before we could use it, this had not been checked by the cleaners at all. We also had to clean out the BBQ before we could use it - this had not been cleaned or checked by anyone either ! We booked a year in advance & requested all double beds upstairs. We rang Sykes the week before arrival to double check & confirm the arrangements for the beds and it was confirmed all upstairs beds were doubles. We arrived to discover a twin room upstairs !! The following day a cleaner arrived with a double fitted sheet & quilt cover (no double mattress protector) & we were expected to sort it out & make the bed into a double ourselves. this was very poor communication all round - unimpressed !

  • "We have loved having our vacation here in such a peaceful and beautiful spot."

The house has fitted all the grown ups and children wonderfully. As for the 'private' beach at the bottom of the hill - amazing! We are looking forward to returning in the future. A beautiful house in a wonderful location. We have had breakfast and dinner on the patio everyday - felt like we were abroad!! The garden is perfect for children - 3 very happy boys had an absolute ball! Perfect week away with the family. The house is gorgeous and views stunning. We will definitely be back!

  • "We had an extremely enjoyable stay."

The weather was mild but lovely and this really enabled our group to fully utilise the fantastic space that the garden offers. The garden is a massive selling point to the property and my two year old toddler loved playing outside. The house itself is lovely with a great kitchen/ lounge area which we occupied on most evenings. The location is fantastic and close to some nice beaches, none more lovelier than Traeth y Ura. We would love to come back to your property for another stay.

  • "Had a lovely stay with amazing weather."

We enjoyed the view - lovely to sit on the sofa outside in the sunshine. Croquet in the garden was fun. This is our second visit to Anglessy and we loved this location. We walked the coastal path to Traeth Lligwy, Cemlyn, Newborough Sands and Llanddwyn Island, Holyhead. Highlights have been to watch the sunset over the sea at Cemlyn and evening walks down to Treath Cove. Would love to come back!

  • "We as a family had a great time ."

With the location of Traeth Ora beach so close we were several days before we ventured from Penrhyn Farm . The dogs , children and adults had many visits per day down to the beach - superb . We were so sad to leave it yesterday . No complaints at all , even the garden was great and a view to die for .

We were so comfortable and loved the tranquility and closeness to nature . The family loved the proximity to Traeth Ora . We relaxed like never before . As we were there 2 weeks we would have appreciated a change of towels and t - towels after one week . The brochure says sheets are changed weekly but this did not happen . Kitchen was a pleasure to cook in .

Loved the views, the changing sea, the wildlife, games on the beach and in the garden with the grandchildren and walks galore. Even got the yoga mat outside in the sun on the patio! That alarmed the pheasant! The tranquility and the light was wonderful. Spent ages watching the terns diving. Hope to return.

  • "Nice welcome meeting Richard, good welcome pack of goodies."

Amazing farmhouse. Fab views, wonderful wildlife, especially the double sighting if the red squirrels. Wow!. Its been a memorable week with so much to see and do. Something for everyone in our party covering all ages, from walks, beach, cosy days in with log fires, a bake off day, snug window seats to lose yourself in the views. Wow! The farmhouse is beautifully decorated. The bedding is out of this world. We had all we needed for indoors and outdoors for different weather days and wanted for nothing. We are back again next year, but also next door too and cannot wait. We are full of praise for your housekeeping staff, the house and gardens spotless. They deserve credit for our great stay too. See you next year.
