  • "We had such a wonderful stay at Mudgeon Cottage."

It was our first holiday with our 7 week old baby so wanted somewhere quiet but easily accessible to lots of walks. The cottage is equipped with everything you will need during your stay and the small touches like crumble and milk given to us on arrival really made it special. The farm and animals were amazing, stripe the dog was so friendly and our dog loved her! It really felt homely and we settled in straight away. It was so nice to be surrounded by nature and have peace and quiet.. with a moo in the background!

  • "We loved Jacky’s cottage."

Being situated on a farm made the well even more memorable, especially for our son who relished the opportunity to help feed the calves, see some kittens and ride a tractor. The location is great and you aren’t far from any stunning coves, beaches or small fishing villages on the Lizard. The cottage itself was cosy and homely, with everything we needed, including a crumble, cream and milk on arrival. We were all sad for the week to come to an end.

  • "We really loved our stay!"

Comfortable accommodation with 3 bedrooms : all facilities inc dishwasher, heating and washing machine included. We stayed in may and had to use heating. Lovely welcome gift (crumble and milk and butter) provided by Jacky. Very good contact with Jacky. We do enjoy period properties so loved all character! Being able to see little calfs and talk to farmers was additional bonus. Kids loved it. Game room was great too although a bit dated. Good to follow Jacky instructions as sat nav is taking via very narrow lanes.

  • "After an initial panic about highchairs and stair gates."

We had a lovely week away. The cottage was immaculately clean toasty warm and a lovely base for our family. The owners have thought of everything and we xiyhd if asked for more. We have been staying in Cornwall over 30 years and this was the best equipped cottage. The location although remote was perfect to explore the area. The children loved the calves, seeing the cows being milked and the cats and dog. The play equipment was a lovely addition as was the games room. Thank you for the cream, milk and the delicious crumble. We will definitely return as although we only left yesterday it already seems too long. Thank you again for sharing your farm abd cottage with us.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Mudgeon Cottage."

The kids loved watching the cows being milked and feeding the calves. The puppy was also very cute. Not an experience you get at most holiday homes. They also loved the play area. There are so many amazing places to visit close to the farm, we didn’t get to them all. It’s a stunning area of Cornwall. The owners are really welcoming and have great knowledge of the area. We also got a fruit crumble, clotted cream and milk from the farm on arrival. We would highly recommend staying here!

  • "We have just returned from a glorious week staying on Mudgeon Farm ."

The house is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean with four excellent size bedrooms . It well equipped and both child and dog friendly with great seating areas and gardens . Added bonus was to be able to visit the calves and newborn farm kittens which our youngest family members adored. It is set in beautiful countryside and close to amenities if you need them. Jacky is a brilliant host and really helpful - overall we would have no hesitation in recommending Mudgeon Cottage as a great place to stay.

  • "Mudgeon Cottage had everything we needed for a lovley week away."

Situated in a beautiful part of Conwall in easy striking distance of Praa Sands, the Helford river and Porthleven. The cottage with much history, has an adequately equipped kitchen, which made cooking for the family using the local fresh fish, lobster and veg, availble from near-by Curnosashimi and Gear farm, a pleasure. The home-made crumble and clotted cream left for us on arrival, were also very welcome. Our only 'even better if', would be new of set of cues (no tips!) and pool balls for the games room.
