  • "The positives-Overwhelmingly location, location, location."

A minute walk from beautiful town centre & stunning park. Cirencester is an absolute delight. Lots of independent traders sit alongside decent high street stores. In addition 25 charity shops. A thriving town. Great green spaces for walking you & your dog & ideal base to explore The Cotswolds. All this is is a "High Recommend" The challenges. The basement is based under a very old beautiful house. For the first couple of days, there was a musty smell. Perhaps due to it being closed & not heated. The accommodation is VERY tired & could be stunning-but needs decent financial investment. The beds are comfortable, the bedding is old in the bedroom without windows. I prefer to sleep under a double duvet. A single does not cut it as an adult. The lounge is basic. The kitchen is adequate-but utensils & cutlery are not clean. There is a cupboard containing sauces/condiments that I opened & shut immeadiately! The wet room is good. The washing machine & Fridge freezer are also modern. Internet connection is appalling. If you are looking to work and or watch movies you will be hugely frustrated. I am sure it is due to the basement build & deep walls. Internet connection drops out continually. We moved the router into the hallway which helped slightly. Overall if you are not fussed about the comfort, facilities & cleanliness of your accommodation then this one is for you. Otherwise, pass this one by.

  • "This is an excellent property."

Such a convenient location in the middle of Cirencester with the all important private parking space. The owners were super friendly and helpful. Dogs loved it and big park opposite to walk dogs. Comfy beds, relaxing sitting room and generally surprisingly spacious for a basement flat. We would certainly stay here again.

  • "Superb central location with designated parking space."

If you have "furry friend" there is a fantastic park (part of the Abby grounds) just across the road. A thriving town/city with a range of restaurants. Location makes it a hub for the Cotswolds. The basement apartment is quirky and as described- lots of space and all you need is provided. Serena and Jack were a delight and could not have been more helpful toward us.

  • "Pros Great location and easy to find."

Large basement with comfortable bed, large wet room and pleasant lounge. Car parking good and close. Good base to explore both Cirencester and surrounding area. Abbey gardens within easy reach. Serena very welcoming and helpful. Very quiet despite being very close to town centre. Great to have the town centre so close and easy to access. Cons As previous review stated accommodation is tired needs some TLC. Some electric switches are not good. Premises we found cold. Some kitchen utensils were left dirty by previous occupants with some plates and cutlery still having some food dried on. Difficult to turn off cloakroom taps as they dripped. Other Comments Kitchen very dark and small but served its purpose. Stairs as stated in description a bit steep and uneven. We enjoyed our stay despite the "cons". above and with a bit of TLC this place could be far better.

A new Smart tv would help. Otherwise a well located property in a brilliant town.

  • "Serena was an amazing host!"

She showed me where to find everything. She desribed to me a vast selection of restaurants to eat in Cirencester. The location of DWH is second to none, just mere steps from the church, markets and shopping. It had fast wifi from living room. The apartment was warm and cozy and had everything I needed. I will definitely book again and recommend to friends!

  • "Property is in a great location for the centre of Cirencester and the hosts were friendly and helpful."

However, the accommodation suffers from being in the basement (not much natural light and not much space to sit outside) and the furniture and appliances have all seen better days

  • "We were very welcomed by Serena."

We were taken around the apartment which was very spacious and comfortable. Parking space available too. Park over the road so we could take our dog for a walk. Two minute walk into Cirencester. Serena gave us information about pubs ( dog friendly) also plenty of restaurants. Plenty of shops etc. Great base to explore the Cotswolds. We enjoyed chilling at end of the day in the apartment.

  • "We stayed there in 2022."

Its a perfectly situated property at the back of the town near the church. The property is spacious and clean and private. We loved it was central to everything in the Cotswolds we wanted to visit. Cirencester is a lovely clean town with a great market on a Saturday selling artisan goods. The property is ideal if you want somewhere central to everything and you can still pop into the town at night for a pint of milk or a takeaway.

it was loverly and very quite dispite the road being so close, we sleeped really well, it's location is great for the market and all the resturants, bistro/bars, pubs, shops, supermarkets etc are walkable the owner lives above and couldn't have been more friendly or helpful or pet friendly

The owners were so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The wifi situation mentioned in a previous review had been sorted out by the owners and we had no problem with it at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have booked to return next year.

Great to also have a washing machine. Only downside was wifi was really poor so not possible to work from home and no Ethernet to connect to. We had a small issue with the oven but was all sorted . Great location for everything in town and parking.
