• "A very friendly welcome!"

  Eve was so helpful and lovely with our nervous dog. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The secure garden was fantastic for our dog. We were only staying 3 nights so didn’t have much time to explore the area but we would recommend Ledbury for shopping and Eastnor deer park for dog walking! The Sunday roast dinner at the Rose and Crown pub in Redmarley was excellent.

• "A lovely cottage with an enclosed garden for our dogs."

  Very clean with ample towels etc. The owner met us on arrival & was pleasant, she explained the features of the property. The shower was fabulous & the beds comfortable. A couple of downsides - extremely noisy tractors almost constantly passing the property at speed for a number of hours, even into the night. Secondly the property is advertised as dog friendly but is more dog tolerant in our opinion.

  Occasionally farm traffic will be using country roads, even into the night when crops need to be harvested, especially when heavy rain is on it's way. It's unfortunate that happened for a day of this booking but is out of my control. Perhaps a town property would suit you better? I do not understand the "dog tolerant" comment. We provide fresh water outside for thirsty doggies to have a drink on arrival after a long car journey. Inside there is another water bowl ready filled & biscuits if owners wish to give a little treat! Doggie towels are provided if they get wet on a walk. We ask that the enclosed garden is cleaned up after your dog & that you do not allow them on soft furnishings, in line with Sykes terms & conditions when you book. Property Owner

• "Eve was an amazing host."

  She met us on site /showed us how use all the facilities. There was goodies for us and a towel /doggy bics/ fresh water for our beardie Harry. The house was spotless throughout and it's safe to say Eve had gone above and beyond in our expectations. . There is an enclosed garden which Harry loved to relax in when it stopped raining for the odd minute last lol. There is a fab doggy friendly pub The Rose & Crown a 5 min drive away with excellent food and drink. Although the weather was atrocious the house was so comfortable this did not ruin our holiday and we would happily stay again.

• "A lovely well equipped cottage in a quiet village."

  Eve was a warm and welcoming host and lots of little extras provided. The garden was perfect for our greyhound to mouch round ,fully enclosed and he very much appreciated the treats!

• "Everything about Avoine Cottage is 5☆rated."

  We cannot recommend this property highly enough. We were greated by Eve, who showed us around and familiarised us with the property. It is in a great location for exploring. It is spotlessly clean and has very comfortable beds. The wrap around garden was perfect for our active dog as well as for outside dining. Inside the kitchen is well equipped if you choose to cook. The owner left a fabulous welcome pack of a selection of hot drinks and condiments, even the dog had a selection of treats too. They have left lots of suggestions of things to do locally and a little further afield.

  Over the moon you had a good week at Avoine. Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review. It really does mean alot that guests have enjoyed their holiday & felt welcomed & comfortable. • "We had a lovely week in Avoine Cottage."

  Eve was so helpful when we arrived. The cottage is clean, tidy, well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the shower is fabulous! The stairs are steep, as listed, but there are handrails and nightlights. The garden was lovely, with a nice seating area - perfectly secure for our dog to roam around. In all a great base for our walking trip to the Malvern Hills - we would definitely stay again.

  The wrap around garden is completely secure so if you are looking for a dog friendly cottage Avoine is perfect .

• "We had a brilliant week at Avoine Cottage."

  Eve met us & showed us around her lovely immaculate, clean & cosy cottage. It's in a quiet peaceful setting, with a flat & secure garden (our dog loved it). Kitchen had all you would need. Separate dining room just off the kitchen was very nice. Very comfy beds, the shower was wonderful, with an added bonus of nice big towels. Very close to the Malvern Hills, where there were many walks. Ledbury & Tewkesbury were lovely towns to visit. We would highly recommend a stay here. Thank you Heidi, David & Ralphy.

• "We had a wonderful long weekend at Avoine."

  Great location for visiting our daughter at Hartpury Uni with our dogs. The cottage was very well equipped with everything & more you need and felt at home. Eve met us on arrival and was extremely helpful. The garden was fabulous for the dogs it was unfortunate the weather wasn’t nicer as we would have enjoyed sitting out more. Not sure if the steep stairs were mentioned in the cottage information but would not be suitable for all. Overall fabulous cottage in a wonderful setting and would most definitely return.

• "We have sent a complaint in to let you know of our distress at this booking."

  COR-354308-CF. We have not yet had a reply. This was the worst experience we have ever had on a holiday. A very damaging experience. Please refer to complaint which I can send again should you need it.

  It's unfortunate that this booking did not find the cottage and village suitable, however, the conduct exhibited by them as guests was unreasonable, particularly considering they made me aware they were not there for holiday purposes, during the stay. Regrettably, this experience has been very disheartening, but the many positive reviews we have received both before & since from guests, attest to the quality of our accommodation & the welcome we provide. • "A short break to this beautiful quaint cottage with our two children and dog."

  We arrived later than expected but Eve was still able to welcome us and give us a welcoming tour. Avoine cottage is very clean, and well equipped with a few extras including teas, coffees, chocolate biscuits and milk etc. You'll find some puzzles and board games in the drawers, we had a lovely evening playing monopoly. The wrap around garden is secure so Skye our dog was safe whilst outside. The cottage is in a quiet location with some beautiful walks, the Malvern hills and surrounding areas are in easy reach. Definitely recommended and our family would return.

  Eve had also supplied us with coffee, various tea's, milk and chocolate biscuits. Overall it was a perfect stay in an immaculate well appointed cottage in a very nice, quiet location, but close enough to explore The Malvern Hills, Forest of Dean and The Cotswold's. • "An immaculately presented, well appointed cosy cottage where we were warmly welcomed and given a 'guided tour' by the owner."

  The furnishings and fittings are of top quality, the kitchen appliances are straightforward to use and there's nothing nicer than flopping on either of the lovely squashy sofas at the end of a day of sightseeing. Highlights: excellent beds and the best shower ever; lowlights: none! Thank you for a most comfortable and restful stay.

• "Absolutely immaculate and stunning detached cottage with lovely enclosed garden and off road parking."

  Everything you need has been provided. Comfortable bed, best shower ever, plus all kitchen items including teas, coffees, choc, milk etc etc . Perfect quiet location for exploring the Malvern hills and surrounding area for long walks. My wife and I, and our Hungarian Vizsla Rufus, had a brilliant time and will be booking again soon to go back. Highly recommended. Very friendly owner Eve welcomed us on arrival, and saw us off on departure. Can’t be faulted. 10/10

• "A very welcoming cottage and lovely garden to relax in, plenty of space for children to play, all safely enclosed, comfy beds."

  Bathroom shower is amazing!! Extra little touches fresh flowers, tea, coffee,biscuits etc to get you started, felt very at home….could have easily had an extra couple of days so we will return. • "Everything we needed for a peaceful few days away."

  We received a warm and friendly welcome from the owner on arrival. All was laid out and explained. The cottage is cosy and well equipped, with a spacious garden and seating area. An added bonus was being able to park our car safely off the road, and our four legged friend was well catered for too.
