  • "A lovely cottage with every facility necessary for a holiday with lovely smelling clean sheets, a comfortable bed, books, tv in every room, and the complimentary starter basket was very generous, one of the best I have had."

The dogs loved being free to roam the wide garden which is completely secure and gave us peace of mind. Our only grump is our old bones need some padding when sitting outside enjoying the garden facilities, could do with some chair pads. The hot tub was fab with great views, and if you turn out the cottage lights the stars in the night sky are definately "wow" factor.

The owner's generous hosting of up to 4 dogs was really helpful for us - there aren't many such places. The huge, fully enclosed garden was perfect for them to run around and play, and there's plenty of space in the house as well. Well equipped kitchen, good location.

  • "Lovely stay over Christmas, the cottage was festively decorated."

The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms were cosy, although quite small. The two double rooms don't have bedside tables which would have been handy for a book and the early morning cup of tea! The kitchen has everything necessary to cook Christmas dinner for four! The dog loved the garden and we loved the hot tub. Ideal base to explore the Malverns. Would reccommend.

Close to main trunk roads, you are able to travel with relative ease. The cottage has an upstairs and downstairs bedroom, with separate bathroom w.c. facilities on each floor. Steeped in quaint old charm the cottage has the beams and latched doors that appeal, without the resident insect life. The cottage is well equipped for modern life needs. Dogs are not only accepted, but positively welcomed. Information pack is the best that we have ever seen, and encourages you to go pout, rather than just self cater, Marvellous!

Such a lovely place, in a beautiful part of England. With very private gardens, big enough for a dog to run around freely, and safely, with lovely views out over the Malvern hills. The beautiful, characterful, Brambles cottage was very well equipped (especially the kitchen) and comfortable, off-road parking for 2 cars. An abundance of walks made for a very special holiday for us. Our favourite place to eat was the Wellington pub.

Garden is great. Worth noting one fence is only about 4 foot so great for normal dogs but not our escape artist but we just kept him on a longline which was fine. Great pub and restaurant less than 10 minutes walk. Owners friendly and really helpful with advice on garden centres etc. Morgan factory worth a visit. Highly recommended.

The owner had not only left a very generous welcome pack, but had beautifully decorated the cottage for Christmas too. So many delightful touches which went way beyond what we could have expected. They had even thought to turn on the hot tub in advance so we could use it on the first day. The cottage itself had every facility we could have wanted and was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The fenced in back garden meant my dog could be safely let out which I also very much appreciated. One tiny problem I encountered, (which the owners had mentioned), was finding the cottage on the first day, in the dark. There is a sign facing the road, but in the dark and with heavy fog, I couldn't see it and ended up driving past it several times. I wonder if it might help to have reflective posts by the entrance? But this is a minor point. We were delighted with our stay and would certainly highly recommend this cottage and want to visit again. Thank you to the owners for making our stay such a delight.

Hottub was great. This cottage lacked some heating. The electric fire which was the only source of effective heating in the living room was not working. We told the owner this and she came and checked. we were promised a replacement heater for the following day and it never arrived and the owner did not come and see us again. Therefore we were having to sit with duvets on so not ideal for a February break. The underfloor heating was very inefficient throughout the kitchen area as well. The owners very kindly left a welcome pack, which was very nice. The area was lovely and we did have a good holiday. However, from the description on Sykes we were not aware we were going to a farm environment. This only became apparent when we received our holiday details and address, etc, just before departure. This wasn't a problem until the Wednesday of our stay when I was awoken around 8am by banging from building work being done. On the Thursday, my birthday, our peace was literally shattered by the arrival of a concrete mixer and another piece of machinery. From about 10am that morning the concrete mixer was outside Brambles Cottage and the other piece of machinery was actually outside the gate going backwards and forwards moving concrete from the mixer to another site on the farm. The noise was terrible, even from inside the cottage. We have photos and video footage of this to capture the actual noise. We could not have gone outside the gate. We were, in fact, waiting for a taxi to go out for a meal so were at the cottage all morning. This virtually ruined our last morning at Brambles. The lady owner did apologise to us for the noise when we were leaving that day, and the owner himself did tell us they were having work done on our arrival on 23 March. However, my point is we should have been made aware of this either before we booked, or having booked we should have been given the opportunity to book an alternative stay somewhere else. It is a bit late to tell guests there is building work going to happen when they arrive, having booked and paid in advance, and looking forward to a peaceful holiday in the countryside. I would value your comments. Thank you.
