  • "A delightful little cabin."

Hayley was very friendly and helpful. So cosy, miles from anywhere, no mobile reception or wi-fi. Blissful. More than dog friendly with treats, dog bowls, dog towel, doggie blanket and our very own dog field.

  • "Great place to be quite."

The photos on the page are a little old as i am basin this on the hedge in front is now at least 15ft high and the end of the cabin with the honey suckle can hardly be seen. This was not a problem ,its dog safe all round .The lounge area is cumfy, the bed is a bit creaky when you get in and out and getting round the bottom of the bed was a bit challenging, due to a very small gap :) The shower is great and the kitchen has all you need but is basic. The deck area outside could do with jet washing and re staining as when its wet is like a skating rink. The steps on each end need some work on as they are rotting .But all this said we had a fantastic week and we think you have something great here and with a bit of work will have something fantastic .Loved our stay even though it was a heat wave ,had a great time .

thank you for your review we have restained the decking and have revamped the outside area. glad you enjoyed your stay Property Owner

  • "Dispite it raining every day we enjoyed our stay at Crows Cabin."

The cabin was spotless and warm but we were unable to use the front door due to it swelling caused by the wet weather. When this was pointed out to the owner he tried to fix the problem but it remained. Given how wet it had been we were not surprised. It just meant we used the other door, which wasn't a problem. The fact that the cabin leant slightly was, we were assured, was also due to the weather and would be corrected The starter supplies left were an added bonus, so thank you very much. Very good food was obtained at The New Dawn Inn in Norton, which we heartily recommend.

  • "We have just had a wonderful break at Crows Cabin which was very much needed."

The cabin is lovely and quirky as well as very cosy and has everything you need. The only downside for us was the bed. The mattress itself was fine but the springs on the bed are sagging which means we were rolling into the middle all the time causing us backache. We tried putting pillows and blankets under the mattress for support but it didn't work. If you can cope with this then I highly recommend a visit as it's just so lovely.

  • "We had a fab little get away here."

The cabin was very cosy and comfortable, Great to have a private enclosed garden and use of the big field beyond. Plenty of places to visit in the area and withing easy reach of the Cotswolds. We enjoyed watching the birds from the window and it was very peaceful. Quite nice not having internet but I did pick up 4g from my Three network we generally planned our next day when out for evening meals. The red lion was nice round the corner with river side seating. Thank you would recommend :)

  • "We had a lovely week in this Quirky cabin."

The bed was comfy and the shower very good. As has already been said, no internet and poor phone signal. Two slight niggles, the head of the Henry vacuum kept falling off so we were not able to clean to our usual standard and if the hedge was trimmed down a bit it would let more light in and give better views. If you are walking, in the evening, have plenty of insect repellent as there is a lot of stagnant water and you will get bitten

  • "On the whole we enjoyed a very relaxing stay at Crows Cabin, which is very much “off grid” if that is what you are looking for."

It is very, very relaxing without the distractions of always being connected to the internet. The milk, bread and lovely eggs were very much appreciated and a lovely touch. The cooker was far better than our cooker at home, so if you want somewhere to stay and cater for yourself then this would be a good choice for you. The sitting area is very comfortable and the deck area gets the sun for most of the day, which was very useful. It was great to have the enclosed garden for our small dog and the facilities, although fairly basic, were more than adequate for a relaxing week away. The shower was much better than I expected, although people on the heavier side may struggle with the general dimensions of that and the internal doorways in general, which are quite narrow. A few niggles that we faced (that are meant as feedback an not general moans!). The cabin has a noticeable slope to it (high at the front, low at the back) which was fine for us but may cause people less steady on their feet some issues. The double bed is very old school and you sink right into it. It is also very noisy (the springs) when getting into and out of it. There isn’t much room to get past the end of the bed, so if you are on the larger side you will struggle with that. The guest information pack is a bit out of date I’m afraid! We went to The Boat Inn (luckily we drove), only to find that it no longer exists as a pub/inn. This really needs updating for guests unfamiliar with the area as this issue is exacerbated by the lack of connectivity as you are not able to check the opening times of the places you plan to visit, without heading to a pub or café (or some signal in general). I’m torn on this one as a positive and a negative, but this place really is off grid. There is no WiFi (not a problem as it is not advertised as having it) but we had no signal at all on our phones, which could be a safety issue for some people or in case of emergency. Please be aware of this. The meadow to the front of the cabin is very kindly offered as a place to use to exercise your dog, which is great except, that it was so established/overgrown (waist-high to 6’ man) that we were only able to use the tire tracks a part way into the field. A narrow path mown around the perimeter of the field would be sufficient and very useful to guests. Not related to the cabin but we were quite disappointed with the walks in the area itself. The public footpaths on the whole do not seem to be maintained much at all and some we couldn’t even find - they were so overgrown! This may partly be the time of year we visited but it was very annoying compared to other parts of the country that are well maintained and have clearly had more thought put into the visitor trade. We would not recommend walking alongside the A38 to get to places, it is quite a busy road. We’re experienced walkers (not walking fanatics) and I wouldn’t recommend this area for walking, compared with the likes of the Lake District, North Wales, North & South Devon or even where we live in Hampshire.

  • "Lots of lovely positives for our stay with a little room For improvement to warrant the price."

    - The cabin is quirky and fun in design. - The little touches we arrived to at the start such as fresh bread and local apple juice and dog treats were a wonderful surprise thank you ever so much - It’s great for dogs there’s a enclosed garden with the cabin but straight out the gate is a field we almost had to ourselves where we threw the ball every morning - The kitchen was fully equipped and great for lots of meals enjoyed at the cabin Some room for improvement - the sofa in the lounge is so uncomfortable it’s tired old and such a shame as after a long day exploring you want somewhere cosy and comfortable to relax. This really needs replacing or stuffing / some padded cushions to accompany it - We did not have any signal at the property. We had planned to catch up on some work or at least check our emails - this glitch does need to be stated when booking as we were off the grid entirely for our stay which has its relaxation perks but a little unhelpful at times - The shower - the vent above the shower is a gauze filled with bugs!! It was more I’m a celebrity get me out of here than a relaxing shower.
