  • "Very clean, well laid out, friendly owners, good location to hereford, & surrounding areas, would go there again"

Thanks for your feedback Paul, hope to see you again soon. Jarrod & Steph Property Owner

  • "We stayed here for 3 nights And although the area and building was very lovely and Jarrod was very friendly and polite."

The bed was not comfortable and even after bringing this to your attention it was disregarded. We went out and purchased an airbed. We also mentioned the property was very warm possibly due to the driers downstairs running into the night, so we also purchased a fan. We were told very sarcastically by the sykes rep to open a window, which we had already opened all of the windows. We were looking to use sykes again to book a holiday to the lakedistrict this year but are now reconsidering due to the way our concerns were dealt with. Overall our stay was OK. But we will look for other options before using sykes again

We are sorry to hear that you didn’t find the bed comfortable. We work hard to try and meet the needs of all of our guests and the kingside bed in the Loft has memory foam that provides additional comfort, we do however understand that we all have different preferences for mattress type and that we cannot meet them all. There is only one drier in the laundry room below the loft which we use during the day and evening on the day of changeovers which is usually once or twice a week. The room is closed up in the evening when we stop working which will mean any cycle Of drying only lasts an hour afterwards so the heat would not have been from the drier. Jarrod and I both recall the day you referred to was a very warm day and we too found it warm in the evening when trying to sleep. We wish you well and hope that you enjoy future holidays Property Owner

  • "The host was amazing."

I was only surprised there was no microwave and no freezer, other than that very brand new in appearance and very tastefully decorated. 10/10 with a microwave.

  • "What a lovely place we got everything we asked for and more, the owners were so helpful with suggestions for day trips and where to eat locally, there was wine, bread and other things upon arrival which we did not expect, the decor was almost new and spotlessly clean, also very quiet there is some building work close by but this did not affect us at all and it won't be there forever, We would recommend this place for a quiet relaxing break, we will be back."

  • "The accommodation was really beautiful and everything was practically brand new."

It is in a good location for Hereford and Ludlow and the road is not at all noisy. The owner is friendly and gave some lovely “welcome” gifts of cakes, beer, wine and provisions in the fridge. The building work on the site was no inconvenience in any way. The property would benefit from a microwave but everything else had been well thought out and was to a very high standard.

Great pub across the road locals made us very welcome and they complied to government regulations for Covid. Would definitely book again and recommend to friends and family.

  • "Lovely 2 night stay at this property."

Owners made us very welcome with a welcome grocery pack. Very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. So quiet yet not far from Hereford where we enjoyed visiting. Local pub was shut but we did some detective work and a pleasant country walk to a local village where we enjoyed fish and chips in the beer garden. Will definitely use again

About the location

HEREFORD

Leominster 14 miles.

The cathedral city of Hereford dates back to Saxon times, and with its medieval bridge over the winding River Wye it is the very image of picturesque England. With a mix of buildings from almost every British era, eclectic Hereford is a popular base for those seeking to explore the locale – being ideally placed for accessing the Black and White villages of the region, not to mention the delights of neighbouring Shropshire, Worcestershire and The Cotswolds. Famous as a cider producing town, Hereford is also the home of the Mappa Mundi, the largest and most elaborate pre-15th century map in existence, which resides in the cathedral alongside the famous Chained Library – a collection of over 1500 rare books from as early as the 8th century. Nearby is the half timbered town of Leominster, filled with medieval buildings, often overhanging the street, and also accessible is the natural splendour of Symonds Yat, a rocky outcrop on a 5 mile bend of the River Wye, with spectacular views and the opportunity to spot protected peregrine falcons flying from their nests.
