"This is a gem of a cottage."
Well appointed and maintained, there wasn’t anything that we needed that wasn’t there. Peter was a wonderful host, telling us all about the cottage and its history. The cottage was so incredibly comfortable and fabulously warm, we did not want to leave. Easy parking outside and a beautiful 14th century church next door, which was lovely to explore. Harvington is such a friendly, charming village, it was everything we’d hoped for and more! I wouldn’t hesitate to give Apple Tree Cottage five stars, it completely deserves it. We will DEFINITELY be back!!
Thank you Lynne and David for that wonderful review. We’re so pleased you enjoyed your stay and found our village welcoming and friendly. Peter and Diane Property Owner

"Beautiful property in a quiet village."
Pub more or less across the road and Ellenby Farm shop not too far, with a delicious breakfast. Peter gave us lots of information about the property and surrounding areas which was very useful. We found the house very comfortable and charming. Will definitely be back.
-
"This was our second stay at Apple Tree Cottage and it was just as we remembered it."
The weather wasn't very good during our stay but we were very comfortable in the cottage. The fireplace in the lounge and the exposed beams in the bedroom are lovely features in this historic property. We received a warm welcome from Peter and Diane who told us to contact them if we had any problems or needed any information. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
-
"A really enjoyable break spent in this lovely cottage."
It blends so much history with modern comfortable living, done in a sympathetic way retaining so many charming idiosyncrasies. We were welcomed by the owners father and shown round informatively. We would definitely recommend this cottage and intend to visit again.
-
"Beautiful relaxing little cottage"
-
"The cottage is very old and one should expect a small home with plenty of character, but i was disappointed to find the bedding not inviting."
The pillows were musty and old. I would suggest the bedding be replaced with new fresh linen and pillows. A comfortable bed is an essential part of a holiday .
We are very disappointed to receive our worst review in 8 years from you. Given all of the dozens of perfect reviews previously received, we feel yours is not balanced and based on opinion rather than fact. It is unfortunate that you didn’t feel able to tell us in person so that we could help you during your stay. You gave us no opportunity to put things right before making your opinion very public. The couple who stayed before you, called Apple Tree cottage a “little gem”. I hope you find your gem somewhere else in the future. Property Owner
-

Warm. Everything for a modern residence is included in a 16th cottage. Very friendly village with lots of do and visit nearby. Excellent.
-
"Apple Tree Cottage is exactly what we hoped it would be, a wonderful quirky, comfortable cottage, we had a great welcome on arrival, Peter and Diane are lovely hosts and the setting is brilliant, everything you could wish for is provided and we couldn't fault anything, overall excellent."
-
"We had a great stay in this very charming cottage located within easy reach of the many attractions in the Cotswolds"
Thank you for your feedback. It would be very helpful to know in a little more detail why you felt we were below our usual high standard. I recall that we were on holiday at the beginning of your stay and wondered if this had a negative effect. It is the lowest scoring feedback we have had over 7 years and we would welcome your view on how we can improve. Many thanks. Property Owner

"Beautiful property, lovely welcome on arrival, and was perfect for exploring the area."
-
"Lovely peaceful cottage and village"
-
"Wonderful homely cottage hosts were very accommodating was everything we wanted ."
-
"This holiday cottage is exceptional in every way."
Beautifully modernised thatched cottage; spacious and well furnished; well insulated thus warm and draught free in winter and very quiet; well situated in a pleasant village with a nearby pub and excellent farm shop open 7 days a week; good bus service to nearby Evesham and Stratford and really helpful and thoughtful owners who have gone the extra mile to make their guests feel welcome. There is so much to do and see in this area of England and this is a perfect base for a couple of any age. Very strongly recommend.
-
"It is exactly as advertised, a beautiful thatched cottage with all the quirks and charm that you would expect of a 16th century building."
Diane and Peter were warm and welcoming and take cleaning to whole new level, it's all in the detail.
-
"A wonderful place, such a comfortable and well equipped cottage, great location, lots to do in the area, and very friendly and helpful hosts!"
Can't fault this cottage - book and you won't regret it.
-
"It really cannot be faulted."
... We were warmly welcomed by Peter who had put in place little extras for Christmas....very generous. A lovely place to stay. Many thanks, Kate Hill
-
"Very positive stay."
Cottage very comfortable and as described. Easy parking directly outside cottage. Made to feel welcome from the outset.Provided with a 'welcome pack' on arrival. Prior to supplying this Peter , co-host, checked out our dietary needs. This reflects the hosts' consideration for their guests and attention to detail. Also on arrival Peter provided a comprehensive 'tour' and explanation of how to get the best use out of the cottage facilities. During our stay there was a minor issue with one of the lights. This was attended to very promptly. In summary, an excellent experience . Peter and Diane are attentive and welcoming hosts. Would have no hesitation in returning or on recommending to others. Thankyou Peter and Diane !
-

Fantastic owners 10/10.
-
"Welcomed on arrival by Pete and Di and shown around the cottage."
Pete was very helpful with things to do, see and places to eat. The cottage was very clean and the garden was lovely, everything you needed for our stay was available in the property. The cottage is very quiet, we managed to see squirrels, a bird of prey and numerous bird species in the garden. We cannot recommend this great cottage enough.
-
"Thank you so much!"
We had a lovely time in your beautiful cottage!

"We were due for a welcome break away and found Apple tree cottage, a little gem."
Peter and Diane greeted us on arrival to show us round a beautiful well equipped, pretty thatched cottage. A lovely touch was the local produce left for us to get our stay off to a good start. The stunning little garden was a delight, we sat out every morning and evening as the weather was lovely. The cottage was a good base for Stratford and the surrounding areas to explore, we couldn't fault a thing about our stay. Marie & Martin.
-
"Beautiful Apple Tree Cottage is so well loved and looked after that staying there is a relaxing treat."
The garden is full of colour. We were lucky enough to have lots of sunshine and so spent time at the table outside of the house, but even on the two cooler nights, the summerhouse was a great retreat. The bedroom is airy, with two windows, and full of birdsong in the mornings with the windows open. Peter and Diane could not have been more helpful and considerate. I have never stayed in a better equipped cottage. Must be cosy in winter with the stove burning too.
-
"It was wonderful - an amazing cottage, well prepared, so lovely, we felt so comfortable - thank you so much!"
Thank you very much for your very kind feedback. We do appreciate it. So pleased your trip to the Cotswolds brought so many memories to keep and treasure. Very best wishes to you both. Peter and Diane. Property Owner
-
"WOW! Apple Tree Cottage certainly lived up to our expectations."
The cottage is charming and quirky. It is very tastefully furnished, well equipped and spotlessly clean. We arrived to find Diane and Peter had provided us with a welcome pack of eggs, bacon, milk, marmalade and strawberries - So thoughtful. The garden was delightful with birds galore. We wouldn't hesitate to return to Apple Tree Cottage if we were to visit the area again.
Thank you so much for your very positive comments both here and in our book in the cottage. So pleased you had a lovely holiday and were so comfortable in Apple Tree Cottage. Property Owner

"Lovely owners and nice place"
-
"Apple Tree cottage is so beautiful and I was greeted with a warm welcome and some treats which was very thoughtful."
The cottage was very warm even for November and I enjoyed sitting in the garden in the morning watching the birds. Plenty of places to explore within a 10-15 minute drive and I walked to the local farm shop one morning too. Would definitely stay again
-
"Peter and Diane perfect host's we had the best welcome pack on arrival of any of the cottage's we have been too."
The cottage was amazing like going back in time on an evening sitting in front of the fire place was like being at the black country museum and the bedroom was that quirky with the floor on and angle and the feeling you were going to roll out of bed but this made the holiday. With the bathroom being on the ground floor I wouldn't recommend people who have trouble walking because the stairs are awkward to come down in the night. Harvington village is like a picture off a chocolate box beautiful. It is perfect for the Cotswolds nowhere to far to go.Theirs a nice pub a mile away the Norton Grange good pub meals at a good price. Can highly recommend.
-
"Beautiful cottage in a lovely setting."
We had a really relaxing and enjoyable break. Unfortunately the award winning CAMRA pub has recently shut down so you may need to update the website to remove that. Real shame as it is literally 50 yards from the cottage. The property would benefit from a larger fridge as if you are staying for a week you can’t get much food in the fridge. None of the above spoilt our time there though and we would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone looking for accommodation in the area. Very homely and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. The fishing at the end of the lane was a real bonus. We also had a great day at Stratford races during our stay which is only a 15 minute drive away.
-
"We had a lovely holiday in the cottage and would happily stay again."
-
"A beautiful cottage and wonderful hosts who live next door."
Strawberries and cream and other treats on arrival. Lucky with the mini-heatwave so breakfast and dinner in the beautiful garden daily. Lots of places to visit near by - a real gem of a cottage in a beautiful village.
-
"Excellent accommodation and help from Peter and Diane."
-
"Super cosy and very quaint."
It was like stepping back in time but with all modern comforts. We loved our stay
-
"Immaculately presented thatched cottage, steeped in character."
This is not your average holiday let - it is clearly cherished by its excellent and welcoming hosts. Situated in a peaceful & picturesque village ideally placed to explore the Cotswolds. Highest recommendation!
-
"Apple Tree cottage is a lovely place to spend a holiday, Peter and Diane are a lovely couple who were more than happy to answer any questions regarding using the cottage`s amenities, nothing was too much trouble for them."
On arrival it was a pleasant surprise to see a welcome pack of eggs, tomatoes, milk and cream cakes which i thought was a very nice gesture. The cottage itself was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and the kitchen was very well equipped with utensils. On the seldom occasion i used the central heating the property warmed up very quickly and soon took the chill away. The king size bed was the most comfortable bed i`ve ever slept in, more comfortable than my own!! The rear garden was also a pleasant place to sit and relax. If i were to holiday again in this part of the country i wouldn`t hesitate to rebook Apple Tree cottage, Peter and Diane obviously take a lot of pride in maintaining this property to it`s very high standard.
-
"In this very different times it's good to know you can still holiday well without a passport."
Sykes has always been a reliable source of cottage accommodation. Apple Tree Cottage did not disappoint and the provision of breakfast and other treats was a lovely bonus.
-

"It was wonderful!"
Peter and Diane were the perfect hosts, so helpful but not at all intrusive. We really appreciated their kindness by leaving us such a thoughtful welcome pack and making us feel so comfortable in the gorgeous cottage . The property is perfect, spotlessly clean, high standard of fixtures and fittings, very warm and cosy and excellent location for exploring the surrounding areas. I would highly recommend staying at the cottage and would like to thank Peter and Diane for all of they did to ensure our stay was so memorable.

The keyholders were very welcoming - we had everything we needed, and the bed was divinely comfortable. The garden is a delight and we were mesmerised by the birds flocking to the bird feeder. There are so many places just a few miles away. There is a farm shop located 2 minutes drive away from the cottage . A substantial variety of produce is available and there is also a café where excellent food is available in substantial quantity.

"There were many things that made us enjoy our stay at Apple Tree Cottage."
Here are just a few: • the hosts were extremely friendly. We turned up much later than planned and they were nothing but courteous about it. Their goodbye text was a really nice touch and mentioned our daughter which always gains a gold star in our eyes • nice touches are a theme in the cottage. Fresh flowers in rooms, welcome pack of homemade marmalade, cake, eggs etc which all tased delicious and from a local farm • accuracy of their property. It did exactly what it said on the tin withheld no nasty surprises. The cottage is so beautifully quaint with a very vibrant and pretty garden is was hard to leave and do things outside of the cottage • the village itself was super friendly. We attended the local flower festival in the church next door where you think we’d have loved there all our lives. The pub across the road the coach and horses were the same where we had some good chats about their local ale and tasted their amazing food • location wise we were smack bang where you need to be if you want to visit all the local villages in the Cotswolds, all just a short 20-40min drive. These were villages like Bourton on the water, Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow on the wold, Stratford, Cheltenham and many more • Sykes as a company sent some useful info through on emails as well and reminders of what we needed to do on the build up to the holiday All in all very impressed and will definitely visit Apple Tree Cottage again. What a delight!

"This cottage is in a very friendly village with the coach and horses over the road a very nice place to eat and socialise."
Peter and Diane the owners parents where very helpful and showed us every thing we needed to know, a very nice welcome pack was waiting for as well. I think this is one of the best cottages we have stayed in and we have gone to about 25 in all.
-

An ideal location to explore the Cotswolds. Well eqipped with a luxury stove and a pub within 50 metres!
-
"A lovely cottage, and a lovely welcome."
Cosy and atmospheric, and the wood burner was fantastic. Close to amenities, and also handy for local attractions. Great pub across the road.
-
"First thatched cottage I'd ever stayed at."
It was in an absolutely ideal location to the Cotswold's and other locations and , Harvington, the village that the cottage is in is idyllic! The owners parents live next door and were helpful and it was nice knowing they were there but they were never intrusive. The bedroom of this cottage is to die for. You can see the church steeple from your window, there is a fantastic pub practically across the street. We were there during all the Christmas festivities and Santa and his sleigh came through the village on one of the evenings we were in. The whole week was impossibly sweet and my husband (who is from Yorkshire), I'm from Chicago was one we will always remember. The cottage itself is ancient and so well maintained, the village is adorable and I SO love this area of England. I highly recommend staying at Appletree cottage for a wonderful romantic week!!! We went in November and the weather was not bad at all so I guess we got lucky!!! It was COLD though so pack your booties!!! Inside the cottage was extremely warm and toasty!!! All that was needed was a light covering of snow!
-
"A lovely cottage in a great position for exploring the Cotswolds"
-
"Apple tree cottage was a beautifully kept cottage, in a lovely village close to an amazing farm shop."
Peter and Diane were warm and friendly hosts, and it was a great location for exploring the nearby villages. The kitchen was very well equipped, the bed was very comfy and the multi fuel fire was a pleasure! A very relaxing holiday!
-
"We have stayed in many such cottages."
This was one of the best. The owners were great and helpful. Everything we needed was there, as well as a lovely welcome basket.
-
"It was a dream cottage for the romantic and as well as we were fishing and golfing, it caters for all and Pete and Diane could not do enough for us, made our stay special."
-
"A delightful cottage in a peaceful location, ideal for our needs and wishes."
The number of places of interest within a short (40-50 minutes drive) is great we were hard pressed to choose.
-
"The extremely beautiful cottage in a very picturesque village in the Cotswolds where we stayed is extremely well maintained and stocked with everything to ensure a great holiday."
The kitchen is modern and stocked with a good array of pans, utensils and equipment. There is Freeview in the lounge, a selection of dvds, books and games. The sofa is very comfortable. The garden is beautifully presented and a haven for wildlife, birds, bees and butterflies. There are sun loungers in a summer house. There is secure storage at the side of the house which we used for our bikes. The king size bed is extremely comfortable, the one bedroom in the cottage being very rustic showing the original beams and uneven walls. This is a beautiful cottage that accommodates 2 people.
-
"Great cottage in a very convenient location."
Lovely garden and very well maintained
-
"From the superb efficiency of Hannah when booking this cottage to spending a week in the most beautiful cottage in a stunning location the whole experience was a joy."

"We had a lovely stay in this beautiful little cottage."
We were met with a warm welcome from Di next door and then had a wonderful week exploring the area. We were warm and cosy, enjoyed the wood burner and everything we needed was there for us, with reassurance that Peter and Di were next door if we needed anything. The Coach and Horses across the road is a great pub! Many thanks. John and Lesley
-
"We would thoughly recommend this cottage."
It was very comfortable and well equipped. The owners (who live next door) were very helpful and welcoming and did everything possible to ensure that we enjoyed our stay.
-
"Apple tree cottage is a fantastic place."
We stayed here with our 6 month baby and the hosts next door couldn't have been more helpful accommodating us. The bedroom was lovely and big with chairs to feed our baby looking out of the window. The Woodburner was lovely, although the heating worked so well we found it was too warm with both on. There's 2 nice pubs in the village for a pint or 2 and it's easy to get to Evesham and Stratford upon Avon for days out.
-
"An idyllic cottage that surpassed our expectations, exceeding charm."
Located in a quiet friendly village amidst perfect scenery. Must return when the weather is warmer to make use of the garden and surrounding countryside,
-
"I think this was our 4th Sykes booking."
Lovely character cottage, everything we imagined it would be. We were met by lovely neighbours who gave us a good introduction to the cottage and lots of information about the local area. So many interesting places to visit.
-
"An excellent cottage."
We were made very welcome by everyone we met in the village. On collecting the key we were shown around the cottage and garden by Di and Pete, nothing was too much trouble. A really lovely, relaxing holiday. Thankyou.
