  • "My second time at Robins Nest and I can't recommend it enough, very peaceful, comfortable and a wonderful location to take your dog with its private little patio and small paddock which my Labrador Jack loves."

    Will definately use again.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Robins Nest."

It is a lovely modern hut equipped with everything you could need. Was clean, comfortable, and extremely cosy. We spent our evenings in there just chilling which was so needed. It is next to one small cottage and is surrounded by now planted trees which you don't see in the photos but it has made it private with a now well established beautiful private little garden. Was great for the dog. It has a great gastro pub the King's Head just up the road serving stunning food and a shop in Napton that sells anything you might need. We visited a few parks all approximately 20 to 30 minutes away by car. Southam, Leamington Spa, Daventry, Kenilworth and Stratford all small drives away making it great for days out. We will definitely return. Both of us and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return. Thank you.

We stayed 3 nights so my wife could go to a school reunion evening in Rugby, it was a great base to sight see and see her old haunts.

The bed and other furniture were good quality and very comfortable. The hut was very clean and surpassed our expectations in many ways. Even the weather was good. As a minor point, we couldn't get the Internet to work using the password that was given.

  • "Loved my stay in Robins Nest and had everything needed, comfortable bed, great shower, lovely views, fenced in garden which my black Lab enjoyed while I had my coffee in peace plus a very helpful owner."

My only niggle was that the blind over the double doors hadn't been repaired so although it was very private I was staying on my own and would have made me feel more secure, I noticed others had mentioned this over a month ago in the guest book otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned it. I would just like to mention for ALL holiday lets not just Robins Nest that it would be nice if fans were in all rooms and cottages seeing as - due to climate change - the temperature is rising well above normal and a fan is a bulky item to have to pack.

We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We do apologies that the blind hasn't been replaced very quickly we are now in the process of replacing it. We have also bought a fan. Property Owner

The first couple of weeks were great, as Dylan has noise issues it was perfect. Views, wildlife, just brilliant. When we came back for the next 2 weeks it was awful, I was woken up daily 6-6.30 by noises in his yard.. The fires were unbelievable with car fires and bangs going off. I decided to cut our stay short and left 2 days early. How it impacted my dog and me, I won't be going back. Apart from the fires, noises and bangs it was lovely !!!!

Thank you for your feed back. We are very pleased you enjoyed the first part of your stay. However we are saddened to hear that you really didn't enjoy the second half of your stay. We are working to improve the impact of the yard on the shepherds hut and will continue to work on this so that we make as smaller impact as possible on your stay. Property Owner

Clean, well equipped and dog friendly. Slight issue with the small sink in the shower room being on the small side. Signage for the property was difficult to see, so drove past initially. Would recommend.

So peaceful and relaxing. Close to amenities, we stock up on food and beverages and shut the world out for a few days, but that’s just us, there are plenty of walks and places to visit too. We love Robins Nest and will be back next year if it’s available. Enjoy the peace x

  • "Lovely little place, really peaceful and serene."

Even though there's another property a stone throw away you can't see it and the place feels lovely and remote. Stunning views as well and having the orchard just outside the gate was great as it gave us an extra area to walk the dog. The access to the upper lawn area at the back could do with some improvement as it's quite steep and the stones can be slippy when wet but otherwise a lovely little place and would definitely book again.

  • "The small industrial estate / yard next door."

6-7 O’Clock on Saturday morning. Burning off old plastic, wood , rubbish. Exploding tins or old gas canisters. Thick choking smoke. I ran out with a view to calling the fire brigade and was surprised to see the culprit on his digger pilling on rubbish to his fire. Not the best start to the day, nor was I expecting to have to scrub the ash off the car. This is not the owners fault. Normally the landscaping would obscure the yard and there is a great unobstructed view over miles of open countryside. It’s just on that particular day their neighbour was a bit of a git!

  • "Had a lovely 4 nights at Robins Nest even asked if I could stay another couple of nights but unfortunately it was booked."

On the day I left I clean and stripped the bed only to be shocked at the mess of the pillows and quilt. Both were covered in disgusting yellow stains. I contacted Sykes to complain and they in turn contacted the owner. I thought maybe out of good faith I would have got an apology and maybe a small refund. Owner refused. If you’re staying there please check the bedding.

We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We do apologise that you found that the pillows and quilt were dirty we were unaware of this as we out source a cleaner and we have since replaced both all the pillows and quilt. I hope that this hasn't put you off and will return. Property Owner

  • "Our stay was perfect."

The only issue was not wanting to leave. We are looking to book again already. The nest was spotless inside and had everything you need. The enclosed garden was brilliant for our little fluffy boy. It was perfectly maintained and the owner even popped by just to mow the lawn again go keep on top of it. The lovely orchard surrounding the nest is also beutiful and well cared for. Id love to see it in a few more years when the trees have gotten even bigger. Watching the little rabbits in the morning was one our favourite things, as well as seeing all the crows returning to the two big trees at the back in the evening. Can't say a bad word really.

Had everything you could possibly need. Lovely comfy bed. Lots of outdoor space to wander around with the dog. Could do with a couple of larger towels. Alexa speaker didn't work but that didn't bother us. Battery in the clock needed replacing but again didn't bother us as we were there to forget about time regimes and to just chill out! Hope to return soon

Great views and isolated away from the road so generally quiet and peaceful. Really warm and cozy. Next to farmland so you can see the sheep and new lambs due to lambing season. We only found it by reading a previous occupants review saying it would have been helpful if they had said " go through the gate marked Owl Cottage". Just a simple sign saying "Robins Nest" is all that's needed. That, and Sykes final directions being more specific than " continue along the A425"! That said. Once we found it, it is truly a hidden gem. Much more spacious than it looks from the photos, stunning views, and a fabulous gastropub 10 minutes walk away. Very good location for canalside strolls.
