  • "Unfortunately the hot tub was not working all weekend."

The seal on the door was perished so every time we shut the door the fire went out and we did not have a hot tub only a smoke tub. It was one of the reasons we booked this cottage. It was meant to be dog friendly but the little dog we had with us managed to get out onto the main road through a hole in the front gate which as we only used the back gate we hadn’t noticed it. Very disappointed.

Dear Shirley We are so sorry to hear this feedback and always take it personally when a visit does not live up to expectations. Unfortunately the feedback above was the only information received and if you had called us on the numbers provided we would have tried to rectify the issues for you. We also appreciate the feedback you provided in the Visitors book and are sorry that you were disappointed with the welcome pack goods, often highly praised, which are provided to offer convenience and a flavour of Madresfield produce. • "We stayed at this property the day after our Wedding for 2 ngts, along with our dogs - A mini honeymoon."

The property is absolutely lovely, spacious, clean, lovely enclosed garden and everything we needed. Although we through the property was quite pricey, we opted for it because of the hot tub. Paying over £900 for 2 ngts. On the two occasions, we lit the tub before we went out for the afternoon and evening, thinking we would have a dip when we got home 3-4hrs later - We were very disappointed to find that the water hadn’t heated, so opted for a hot bath instead. We had followed the instructions to a tee on both occasions - it didn’t seem to work for us :-( We had been left a lovely bottle of fizz by the owner.

Dear Tracey Thankyou for your feedback and we are glad you enjoyed the property, it is a rural gem. However, I am sorry to hear you had issues with the hot tub, very disappointing considering you had booked for 2 nights and it was a special occasion. The hot tub is normally very reliable as you can see from previous feedback. Being keen to ensure our guests have the best time, we would have visited to investigate the problem if we had been made aware, the relevant numbers being included in our welcome pack and letter. Great welcome pack. Fantastic for the dogs and dog walks. Really comfortable, and close, but not too close, to amenities, the Malvern hills, etc. Would definitely go back again. 10 out of 10 from us.

The welcome pack was very 'welcome' and delicious, the facilities were great even down to providing wash tablets and dishwasher tablets. The dogs were very pleased to see a lovely thoughtful jar of treats and dog bowls were also provided. Despite the awful weather we all had a lovely relaxing time, thank you!

Dear Mandy, I am so sorry the weather was not so good, it is such a gamble in the UK! However, delighted that you enjoyed your stay and goodies and that you had time to relax. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Property Owner

  • "The property was beautifully presented."

The decor and the quality of the workmanship was faultless. It was perfectly cleaned and tidied. The kitchen was well equipped and the welcome gift was much appreciated. The log fired hot tub was amazing and was great to come home to after enjoying our walks in the Malvern Hills. The wrap around garden was secure for our dogs and the off street parking was perfect for our two cars. A well deserved 5 star property which I am happy to highly recommend and would definitely like to return to.

  • "Beautiful cosy cottage in stunning area!"

Absolutely loved our stay and the bed was so comfy. Enjoyed the hot tub, although it was a little tricky to keep going as we didn’t have much kindling to work with for 3 days worth of fires. My only critique- more kindling, dishwasher tablets and tea towels if possible. However the bread, sausages, bacon and milk was a lovely touch :)

Hello and thank you very much for the very welcome feedback. It was good to hear that you found the beds to be really comfortable - a good nights sleep is so important and was a major factor for us when selecting the beds and mattresses from Hypnos. Regarding the kindling and dishwasher tabs, please note, as communicated in the Welcome folder, as a self-catering cottage we do indeed provide a starter pack of these items, with top ups available to be purchased locally. However, we do provide a complimentary supply of logs for the duration of the stay, because of their cumbersome nature and for the ease of our guests. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the produce and I will pass your feedback on to our butcher and farming and food manager. Property Owner

The cottage is beautifully decorated and restored. The location is very quiet and peaceful, ideal for visiting the local villages and towns. Didn't get the chance to try the hot tub unfortunately but did use the log burner in the lounge. The men were in their element, made the cottage really warm and cosy. It was nice that we could take 3 dogs and the dog treats were very much liked by our pets. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, the bacon and sausages were delicious. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable.

The welcome pack included fantastic sausages bacon & eggs from the estate so couldn’t get more local! Logs from estate also heated the hot tub which was a great bonus and when you get the hang of it ( good instructions included) you can light every other date to maintain nice warm temperature. Great for dogs our 2 loved the very secure garden and many local walks that they can be ‘off lead’ .Very responsive team from estate nearby on any queries. Only suggestion would be some outside sun loungers or deck chairs if the weather is good.

) with some lovely walks for the dog right on the doorstep. Well positioned to explore the Malverns - everywhere was about 15 mins away - and supermarket less than 4 mins. Our only problem was that we couldn't light the fire in the wood fired hot tub but that was down to our lack of scout skills as opposed to any fault of the property! Planning a return visit ☺️

Hi Hannah. What a lovely review thank you and we look forward to having you visit again if you are able to. • "We were a party of 4 adults, one teenager and a dog."

On arrival we were greeted with a fabulous welcome pack - the bread was delicious. The accommodation was superb; beautifully and tastefully decorated throughout, with the all important comforts, including beds. One suggestion would be for the bedroom door hinges to be oiled to reduce noise when opening and closing during the night The garden was fully enclosed which meant we could relax and let our dog sniff and wander to her heart’s content. The hot tub was fabulous, although a net to scoop out uninvited guests would be good. There are plenty of public footpaths close by for early morning dog walks. The Morgan Museum is a must, although note it is not really accessible for those with disabilities; and it is just 5-6 mins down the road. There are plenty of places to visit for all ages and the recommended pubs were great and dog friendly. We had a fabulous time and cannot recommend highly enough.

Lovely and helpful feedback thank you - no one wants uninvited guests in the hot tub (LOL). This isn't a common issue as far as we are aware, however, we will provide a net / scoop - great suggestion. We will also get those hinges oiled!. So pleased you had a great stay and we are grateful for your review and recommendation. Property Owner

  • "The cottage and the enclosed garden were fabulous."

No worries about the dogs escaping. The welcome pack of local goodies was very much appreciated. The house is well placed for a trip to the Malvern hills and only a few minutes drive from the retail park. The wood burning hot tub took some maintenance to keep it hot and the lid was heavy to lift off. We still used it every day. Would definitely recommend staying here and hopefully we will back.

Thank you for your feedback, so pleased to hear your thoughts and read your review and we are glad you enjoyed the location and welcome pack. The hot tub cover is indeed fairly heavy for weather proofing reasons but also because it is insulated to help maintain the temperature once it has reached a comfortable level. The recommendation is to have two people remove/replace it but so glad this didn't put you off using it every day. Looking forwards to seeing you again soon! Property Owner

  • "As regular visitors to self-catering accommodations, we have high standards and expectations of the places we stay."

No 29 definitely met those expectations. The quality of the fixtures and fittings, the decor and furnishings and the property finish are all excellent. Our only suggestion to add to the inventory is a cutlery caddy for the dishwasher. The location was quiet and set in the superb Malvern countryside with plenty of places to visit, should you wish to leave the comfort of the cottage. We were particularly pleased with the security of the garden for our dogs, as when on holiday we don't want to have to keep checking to make sure they haven't found a hole through which to escape and explore! We would have used the wood burning stove more, but the weather was too warm! We would highly recommend No 29 for families or several couples, especially if they travel with dogs. And we also found the Sykes app particularly useful for keeping track of arrangements. Thank you.

Thank you very much for your positive response and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We will replace the cutlery caddy for the dishwasher, so thank you for letting us know. Property Owner
