• "House was lovely."

  Clean and tidy. Couch was so comfortable. Owner left a bottle of wine to welcome us. Lots of board games left for us to play. we had a week long Monopoly marathon. We enjoyed to wood stove, even when not needed. Close to beaches and village. Only looked at reviews on the day we were going, (admittedly a bit late) found a previous review that wasn't great but thought it was unfair to be honest.

• "We left the next day, apon entering the damp musty smell was the first warning sign, needing to find the bathroom, I went from the dining area to the corridor and next thing I was on the floor, there is a step down into hallway, which could only be called a " booby trap", as it is so well camouflaged, the SAS would be proud of it."

  The floor covering colours blend together so well as to make the step invisible. No hot water available on arrival, no instructions to use immersion heater (,fire only) wait hours for enough water to use the bath. I just happened to be looking out the front window, when a small black car flew in to the property sped past our car and vanished, this turned out to be the owners daughter, who lives in what the owner calls, the Apartment, converted garage more like. This crazy arrangement means you do not have privacy as it is only briefly mentioned on the property description. We had two small dogs with us, but could not let them run free in the garden because of this other person and could not close the gate because of there coming and goings. Over all the place was dirty, filthy chopping boards that need replacing asap, stinking standing water in washing machine, worn out couches that are so uncomfortable, squeaky beds. The surrounding area is beautiful but spoilt by this terrible cottage that does not inspire you to return to after a day out. I could go on and on with the list, but I have had enough of texting, if you have kids or animals avoid this place, as there is not enough information on the safety situation on the property, unexpected vehicles and persons, unsecured gate as this other person comes and goes and did not introduce herself at all. So as I said at the start we left the next day, probably not enough to make a refund claim, but our loss financially because we left. I hope this will help future renters from using this cottage, the whole, (daughter in the garage ) situation needs better explaining in the description of the cottage. The drive down was good with some beautiful scenery on the way, all spoilt by this awful cottage.

  Ce gîte mériterait d'être mieux équipé en vaisselle. Nous n'avions pas l'intention de cuisiner beaucoup, mais nous avons du renoncer à acheter un homard, faute de récipient pour le faire cuire. La lampe de chevet de la chambre de derrière a un fil trop court pour atteindre la prise. Au moment de faire le ménage, nous avons constaté que l'aspirateur était un peu "poussif"

• "Dreadful! No hot water, misleading about distance to beach."

  Not very clean. Squeaky beds, fusty wardrobes . Noisy neighbour living in garage .Poor poor poor

  Thank you for leaving a review, however we are very surprise to read your comments and we believe they are inaccurate. The hot water is immersion heater and it's fully working, the property is 1 mile to the beach at the pier. The website fully states the neighbour on site. All our reviews are very positive. Property Owner

  Well equipped and easy to live in. We found it helpful to have used Google Street View to work out the exact location of the house, and the roof line of house opposite is a good distinctive landmark to look for.

• "The situation of the house was very handy to shops, pub, restaurant etc."

  Lovely beaches and clear sea for swimming. The scenery is wonderful and so much to see. Cliften is an interesting town and a visit to Kylemore Abbey is a must.
