  • "We wanted a base to explore the Sligo and Roscommon areas and Duffy’s proved to be the perfect solution."

The house in on the edge of the village, a short walk to the supermarket and very quiet. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The lockbox code worked without a problem and we entered the house to find the heating already switched on for our arrival and a very thoughtful and generous welcome pack. We chose the bedroom without the en-suite as there was a little more space. The bed was very comfortable with good quality bedding. The whole house was squeaky clean. Sylvia was available by phone and email during our stay to answer any questions we had. There are a few rough edges in the kitchen but the positives far outweigh any minor negatives. Highly Recommended.

Close to two pubs with good food and a take away and a small grocery. Both the listing agency and the owner were very responsive to any questions, with calls or texts returned within minutes. Convenient to explore the Sligo area. Thanks Sylvia.

  • "What a friendly welcome!"

A vase with fresh flowers on the dining table, tea, coffee, sweets for the kids and in the fridge some fresh food - we walked into the spacious house and could relax the minute we arrived. Good matrasses, a big dining table, a neat little garden, VERY comfortable armchairs and sofa in the living room and plenty of space and light in the entire house. The supermarket is in walking distance (less than ten minutes) and open seven days a week. There are lots of things to do for those who enjoy walking: explore the passage tombs in Carrowkeel and enjoy the view from the top of the hill By car you can get to Sligo in half an hour - don't miss the 7-km-loop walk starting in Strandhill or walk around Rosses Point and dine in Sligo afterwards. Within about an hour you can get to the foot of Croagh Patrick - even if you only do half the climb you will be rewarded be breathtaking views. We had a wonderful time! Thank you!

  • "We are just back from a short break at Duffy's cottage which was great!"

The house was very well presented and in a quiet location. On arrival, we found the house exactly how you would like but with a few lovely added touches e.g. fresh bunch of flowers, wheaten bread etc We spoke with the owner Sylvia who was lovely. As stated shops and pubs are all within a 10 minute walking distance. Would highly recommend. All in all we had a great stay and would consider staying again if we were that direction.
