  • "Disappointing, the location was pleasant and quiet, the dwelling was cramped especially the kitchen and bathroom, it would be better if it were two bedrooms rather than three and the extra space used for the kitchen and bathroom."

The bathroom had no heating and was very cold almost unusable. Electricity was from a pre-payment supply and very expensive. I would not recommend or book this place again.

So sorry to see you feel disappointed with some aspects of your stay , As for the dwelling being cramped , it is a cottage, built in 1985 and that was the style back then , every room has a photo on the website , so people know what to expect before they arrive , or if they feel they need a bigger property find something more suitable . amazing that you felt it cramped , with just 2 of you , when for the past 8 years , lots and lots of families with 2 or 3 children have given great feedback on how much they enjoyed their stay, some have returned for several stays . As regards the bathroom being cold , We were in the process of changing over to all electric heating from solid fuel fire with heating from the back boiler. we had electric heaters in all areas for your stay except the bathroom , which we have now added . there was an oversized heater in the hallway just outside the bathroom door , and if you had been using this , all surrounding areas would have been warm . Again it was explained to you that you had full control of the heating , and if you felt it better to not use the heating to save money on the electric meter , then of course the house will be colder , it was your choice . I am also in the process of installing solar panels on the house , so future guests will have less to pay for their heating needs Property Owner

  • "Had a lovely stay at Clashbrack, the owner Seamus was just next door, and was very helpful, as we had problems with the coal fire and heating, we would stay again in warmer weather as it was rather cold in the cottage !"

Everything we needed was provided, and it was very clean, good WI Fi, and only a short drive to N25 and Dungarvan. A good place to stay if you want to visit Comeragh Falls !

  • "Great house!"

Few things though! Mirrors in bedrooms would be great as only in the hall and bathroom. Plus a mop for any spillages would be handy to! Thank you.

  • "The house is in a lovely location and is exceptionally clean and comfortable."

There is a microwave, hairdryer and iron available which are not listed on the website. The peace and quite of the surrounding area is a balm to the soul, the views are lovely from the house and it's not far from lovely walking/running beaches (Ring). The only (small) thing is that the heating is not in the control of the guests. There are two radiators on a timer and one in the bedroom which guests can control. Having said that Seamus was available to change the temperature settings and timings but personally I would prefer to have been able to turn the heat on or off as needed. We were lucky with the dry weather so could get out and about during the day to see the lovely sights of Waterford. I would definitely recommend Clash-Brack for an enjoyable holiday experience.
