  • "We absolutely loved this property."

There were 5 of us so plenty of space and more than enough crockery and utilities. The sound of the waves every day is a dream come true. The house was spotless on arrival, rooms very spacious and the beds were so comfy. The steps to the beach were a bit slippy in the rain but obviously this is to be expected with wood. The first time walking down the rocks at the bottom of the stairs though was a bit daunting but fine once you had done it a couple of times.

  • "The house was great, quiet relaxing location."

Facilities were a bit short for 8 people in the living area, could do with some more seating. We had 5 adults and 2 teenagers and unless you wanted to sit on a dining room chair we had to bring in the outdoor furniture and also our own camping chairs. No BBQ as listed this needs to be removed from the listing. Also not enough wine or pint glasses for 8 people and we had to purchase our own glasses. The TV stopped working on the Sunday morning but Elisha had a replacement with us by dinnertime. All in all we had a very enjoyable week.

  • "There were lots of things we liked about Beach House."

It is a quiet, spacious house with direct access to the beach (although the route down is very steep), and close to the motorway so an ideal base for visiting Dublin, Waterford, Kilkenny, etc. It does, however, need some maintenance as there are lots of little problems: the downstairs shower doesn't drain properly, the upstairs shower rail is broken, the toilet seat needs fixing, the freezer needs defrosting, lightbulbs need replacing, etc. And nothing is provided beyond the basics- you will need to bring oven gloves, dishwasher tablets, etc.

  • "House is beautiful, views are breathtaking from every window."

Beds very comfortable, A short 5 min walk to supermarket. A few niggles, freezer was completely frozen and some cupboards needed a clean. Apart from that we had a lovely relaxing stay at the Beach house. Best views ever.

  • "Myself and a group of friends were visiting for a birthday celebration, the hosts were very friendly and welcoming."

The Beach House offers spectacular views around the bay, stunning vistas and the whole vibe is one of piece and relaxation. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would go back for future visits. There were one or two niggles with the general maintenance but our requests were delt with speedily and very efficiently. We felt that a general update and a few little luxuries would have been welcome, for example plush towels and full sets of crockery but this did not in anyway spoilt our enjoyment. The Beach House is a real find and all of our party had a wonderful visit, beautiful walks, friendly town and well stocked local small supermarket. We had everything we could want. You will love the views of the Irish Sea from your bedroom and waking up to fantastic sunrises with the sea lapping at the shore. A very pleasing first visit to this part of Ireland. We will be back.

Beds were very comfortable, fantastic sea view and ideal for our dog with the enclosed garden that’s visible from both the living area and bedrooms. The only improvement needed is for the pot holes on the entrance road to be filled.

  • "I had a delightful stay at this beautiful house with a truly stunning location."

The interior is gorgeous, offering a great atmosphere. However, there are a few areas that could use some improvement. The sofa appears worn and could benefit from renewal. The TV in the front room is outdated and difficult to operate, and it would be fantastic to have a modern TV in place. In the downstairs bathroom, the shower head was held in place with tape, which detracted a little from the luxury experience I was expecting. It would also be a nice addition to have TVs in a few of the bedrooms. I recommend addressing these issues to elevate the overall guest experience but apart from those little issues a truly beautiful house, highly recommend a visit. We shall return.

  • "An amazing house in a beautiful location."

Lovely welcome from our host and bread and milk for our stay. The house was immaculate with the best holiday home stocked kitchen I have ever stayed in. Bedroom were spacious and very comfortable with each room having a great view of the garden and sea. Bathrooms clean and large although downstairs shower head could do with a little update but this in no way tainted our stay. Some great locations nearby recommended by our host for walks and food that we thoroughly enjoyed. Visitors book could do with some additional info with regards to cooker and washing machine instructions. TV is dated (not smart) but in all honesty the kids were very appreciative of the good WIFI so iPads were used instead. We loved our stay and were blessed with great weather. I would definitely return to the Beach House, it was very impressive.

Very well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. Stunning views. Fully enclosed garden for dogs safety. Terrible WiFi. No smart tv with basic sky package or saorview. Living room seating uncomfortable and inadequate for 5 adults. We also had to wash all delph and cutlery on arrival after finding two cups, three dinner plates and several forks dirty. We had a fabulous holiday despite the above criticisms and if they were addressed we would definitely book the Beach House again.

I have an EV and Brian rigged up an extension cable for me. The location is brilliant and convenient for trips to other places. Accommodation is comfortable and modern in a quiet position with beach access. As the house faces east it gets the morning sun, which warms the rooms. The disadvantage of this is the brightness in the bedrooms, so blackout blinds or curtains should be considered for future upgrades.

  • "This is a lovely home which has been very well built in a stunning setting with beautiful views of the sky and sea."

There are steps down to the house which wasn’t mentioned in the blurb and were tricky for my 80 year old mother- in- law to navigate especially after a couple of jars. The house is very clean and the beds were comfy, however the dining table only seats six people and the living area would benefit from an extra comfy chair or two, to allow everyone to sit and relax in the evenings. There is a well stocked shop in walking distance and the local pub Jimmys was a great place to sit and enjoy the faultless Guinness, with welcoming company and live music to dance to. A couple of torches would have been welcomed for the journey home in the evenings as the dirt road leading to the house is dark and full of pot holes. Trips out to the Carracloe beach and Vinegar Hill were also enjoyed and we would highly recommend staying in the beach house because we really didn’t want to leave!

  • "Fantastic place to stay, extremely quiet and peaceful, sun drenched (when its about) and wonderful sea views."

Steep steps down to the lovely private beach. Morning sunrises and evening moon rises were beautiful. 5 mins walk to supermarket and only a 20 minute walk to Courtown amenities. Seemed to have underfloor heating but no info or instructions on this. Comfortable beds and pillows but found the sofa awkward. Lots of room to spread out and enjoy your stay. The dinning table and chairs were superb and the kitchen facilities excellent. Would be useful to have better instructions on how things work. Couldnt find how to work oven but after fiddling around with the dials we managed. Similar for shower system. Same could be said for the microwave, dishwasher and TV i.e. provide better easy to follow guides. The plug and drain hole in the downstairs bathroom needs replacing due to limescale deposits and damaged edges. The plug sticks and its difficult to open it so you end up with a full dirty basin. It looks like someone has tried to use a screwdriver or knife to force it up each time it sticks. Regular descaling and cleaning will prevent this happening. I suggest providing a separate recycling bin for cans and bottles. Also label each outside bin, one for recycle. It might sound like Im complaing but Im trying to be helpful. In fact the opposite is true - we loved it and would definitely stay again.

The kitchen / living area was open plan perfect for all our needs, anything you needed was there to dine in, pots /pans /slow cooker etc table wear and glasses were all very nice ! There was a fantastic supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Dishwasher and washing machine are intergraded in kitchen and water was always hot for showers etc. The location was beyond all expectations no matter what the weather was like the sea views were fabulous ..sunrise especially… a dream setting and our host was on hand with any issues …..Wi-Fi is not wonderful as it comes and goes! I would return for another week tomorrow if I could ,it was a very relaxing home to stay in . The house is very well positioned to take advantage of the views of sea and sky which change throughout the day as the sun travels from east to west. The house has everything you need for a self catering holiday with family and friends. It is modern, spacious and spotlessly clean. It is very comfortable and always warm and cosy. The jewel in the crown is the beach at the bottom of the steps leading directly from the garden - we were fortunate with the weather and swam every day. It was always very hard to leave the house but we did travel down the coast to Morriscastle and Curracloe beaches which are lovely. Gorey is great for shopping and lunch in the Cowhouse on the Courtown Road is a must - along with the fresh berries and jams for sale in the farm shop there. All in all a fabulous home from home. The house is fabulous, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you could need. Beds were extremely comfortable, showers fantastic and my children enjoyed using the toys provided in the lovely large garden. But what this house is really about is the views and the beach! Beautiful sea views from every window, we enjoyed watching the sun rise in the morning and the moon reflecting on the sea at night. The house has steps directly down from the garden to a lovely private beach, we were so lucky to get good weather over our stay so we really enjoyed spending time here. The local area is great for exploring with lovely restaurants, activities for kids and many beaches. Elisha and Brian were wonderful hosts and responded quickly to any queries we had. This really was the best holiday property we have stayed at- either at home or abroad, and we can't wait to return. The photos really don't do it justice.
