  • "Great location and apartment, parking not to far away but in high season would be a nightmare finding a spot."

The only issue would be the access passage and door lock, which have been mentioned before. The area in question certainly had not been cleaned before we arrived and not cleaned during the stay. One could argue it's a potential health hazard. Exiting the door in an emergency could be problematic. Easy fix could be installation of door bolts thus removing the need to use the mortice lock when in the apartment. Overall a good stay with excellent weather. Would stay again.

  • "A difficult access."

A locked door from the street, down two steps and along a dank passageway to a courtyard. Up two steps to a second locked door (with a tricky lock) and a narrow flight of stairs to the next floor. Awkward with luggage and difficult for anyone elderly or with reduced mobility, who could be warned. I would not go back to an otherwise excellent flat.

We absolutely loved our stay in Dartmouth.

  • "Overall the apartment is stunning however, the entrance is appalling."

Had we realised we would be walking through bird excrement every day which got worse as the week went on we would not have booked. It is very off-putting and is the only reason we will not re-book. The mirrors in the bathroom and bedroom are set too high for anyone under 5'10" and a make up mirror and stool would be a great addition to the bedroom. The dish washer and washing machine need to be left open to allow them to air as unfortunately they were extremely smelly. Finally the drain in the shower and hand basin were blocked with hair and soap, enough to flood the shower tray very quickly. I cleaned them both but they need to be done regularly. Please don't think that we did not enjoy our stay, apart from the entrance all other issues are minor. Your apartment is beautiful and in a fantastic location. If the entrance issue were to be resolved we would definitely stay again.

Thank you very much for your feedback and glad you enjoyed your stay. The entranceway to the property is subject to a regular cleaning however it appears this wasn’t done prior to your arrival so apologies for this oversight – the maintenance company have been notified. In addition, netting has recently been reinforced and bird prevention devices installed to also discourage the local birds from entering the courtyard. The cleaning staff should also be ensuring the shower drains are kept clear of any blockages so have made them aware to prevent future issues. I hope you enjoyed all the delights Dartmouth has to offer during your stay! Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay everything you needed self catering."

Very clean, tastefully decorated with the most comfortable bed ever. We did have an issue with the oven which we mentioned on departure but it didn't ruin our stay. Maybe there could be some thought about outside the front door in the courtyard by the spiral stairs...in regards the pigeon/seagull poo the netting above is not stopping them getting in and sitting on the window sill. We swept it up most days to stop it being walked into the property. Friends of ours after seeing our photos, have already booked with you for next June

  • "Very comfortable well situated flat perfect for adult occupancy."

Slight confusion over hot water supply which was quickly solved once reported. Coast and country staff were excellent when dealing with this problem. Very friendly welcoming pub The Seven Stars a few steps away a must for Sunday lunch. Would I stay again, yes definitely.

  • "Beautiful accommodation, well maintained, location brilliant, however new mattress required as it dips down, sofas aesthetically good but not very comfortable, would have felt more safer with a lock on the internal door, everything you would expect to find is in the kitchen, for cosyness, blinds are needed."

  • "Excellent property situated in the heart of Dartmouth."

Spacious and very comfortable. Only one minor thing is that the bathroom mirror light/de-mister did not appear to work properly and may need some attention. The positioning of the property (first floor) lends itself to good views of the historical street and the boat float area, and the sounds of the waking town below (whilst not for everyone) were expected and endearing. Would highly recommend to those who seek a break in a delightful busy coastal location.

  • "This apartment was spacious, clean and tidy."

Everything you need for a holiday let. It was close to all the shops, cafes and restaurants so you could leave your car in the near by car park all week if you didn't need it. There is so much to do in Devon that you will not be bored. Great walks, a steam train ride on the other side of the river, boat trips up the river. We went to the museum at Dartmoor Prison, sounds morbid but actually quite interesting (and I don't usually like museums much). We went to Burgh Island to do a short walk, nearly got blown off our feet but it was fun. Agatha Christies house is lovely but check the opening days during the winter months. The roads around Devon are exhilarating, wondering what you will meet round the next corner! Drive with caution! We would recommend this property and Devon to you.

  • "Entrance approach rather off-putting, but the apartment was very well appointed and very clean."

Privacy required the use of blinds as the windows are large and there were no curtains. This made it rather claustrophobic. The kitchen is very well appointed but could do with some blinds to soften the ‘feel’ of the room. Overall, we had a feeling that this was a’work in progress’ and that when ‘finished’ it will be a very comfortable property.

  • "Very lovely property, spacious and welcoming."

Bathroom really nice with a good shower. Very comfortable apartment with a clean bed and bedding. Only negatives would be the dust under the furniture and skirting board. Can be a little noisy with early morning deliveries outside. Arrived to the property having works completed (old building and you’d expect repairs) but we were only told about this an hour prior to arrival however with sincere apologies from the owner. We had a very enjoyable stay overall and the property is very near to all the shops and amenities making it very convenient. Parking permit for the car park which is a short walk away. I would definitely stay again and by far the best was the amazingly comfortable super king bed. Thank you :)

  • "Ideally situated, spacious rooms, instructions and local information readily available, furnished to a high standard."

Entrance area had signs of damp, very old building and the rubbish at the entrance had accumulated and was smelly. Otherwise had a wonderful stay at this accommodation and recommend the navel college tour you need to book early.

  • "A truly wonderful place to stay."

We would definitely book again! Great touches added for arriving guests, too - much appreciated. Maintenance is good but clearly some issues with damp patches in the hallway and upstairs entrance by the cupboard - someone had maintained these before our stay (great idea!) My only suggestion would be to make it clear that the car parking is across the harbour in the town car park. Not an issue for us at all but helpful for others to know that the car parking, whilst included, is not sited with the apartment. Just a suggestion and certainly does not detract from enjoyment!

  • "A really fantastic apartment central in the lovely town of Dartmouth which is vibrant with great shops abundant pubs, cafes and restaurants, within easy reach of many stunning beaches, you’re never short of anything to do whatever the weather."

Apartment was very clean, nicely furnished and had an amazing super king size bed. I slept like a top!! Only negative for me was the kitchen. Although brand new cabinets were really attractive the oven and hob spoiled it. Both have seen better days. Tempt control on the oven wasn’t working and the grill was just awful. Hob not too good either. Need more cutlery as not enough to use dishwasher efficiently so had to keep washing by hand. Also kitchen needs blinds to the very large windows as overlooked by other apartments opposite so not good when eating in in the evening. Other than that, overall a lovely holiday let. Everything you could need, even logs for the wood burner in the sitting room. Would definitely recommend. We will definitely return. Absolutely loved it.❤️
