  • "This was a nice welcoming home, the only negatives about the property were that it needed to have more sockets or an extension lead in the living room and the gardens , especially the rear one, weren’t very child friendly due to all the house bricks stacked outside and the very large shed."

We loved the kitchen / dining room and the lounge and it was very close to the town centre and the local Tesco and Hungry Horse pub.

  • "Booked this holiday house for the 1st week in September, we arrived to find a beautiful little home, spotlessly clean, well furnished and with everything that we could need."

There was also a welcome pack, not only for us but also for our little dog, she was very grateful for the jar of treats. There's a couple of dog friendly pubs within a 5 minute walk and a large Tesco a short stroll away, a walk to the sea front took us about 10 minutes, we could probably have done it quicker but our dog stopped for multiple sniffs and toilet breaks on the way. It's a great place to stay and we are hoping to repeat the experience next year.

  • "We had a lovely stay in this property."

It was our 2nd time and I’m sure we will book again. The cleaning wasn’t quite up to the standards of last time. There were clumps of fur and dust under the kitchen chairs, a cobweb above the bed, the doors were grubby and I detected a smell from the downstairs toilet. I cleaned the toilet and surrounding area but the smell of wee kept coming back. Also please could someone do something with the patio outside the lounge. Raise the slabs or something as a big trip hazard. I’m not complaining, just bringing it to your attention. Thank you to the owners for letting us stay.

We loved the kitchen which was well equipped and spacious. Great to have the downstairs bedrooms & bathroom especially with the patio doors to the garden. A boon through the night to let the dog out. Outside space was good especially the front garden suntrap. Both back & front fully enclosed. Nearby area to walk the dog which leads to large Tesco. All in all a perfect holiday home. Can't fault it. Thank you.

Very comfortable and had everything you need. I would suggest an additional pet bowl and also a small pirex dish for use in the microwave. There is plenty of room for a dishwasher which would have been a bonus. We were looking to book the free week in August but when we went on the website to book, it had gone up by another £100 which was very disappointing. We would love to go back to this property. The only issue we had in the accomodation was finding the cutlery...how many adults does it take to find the drawer? 3 and when we did we were in hysterics! The kitchen is very spacious with plenty of cupboard space but this was let down by the small fridge with only a very small freezer compartment. There’s more than enough room for a fridge freezer which would make all the difference. Also, the 2 downstairs bedrooms would benefit from some proper chest of drawers rather than box shelves and a bedside table would make things more comfortable in these rooms. Patio furniture in the second patio area would mean you could use this space later in the afternoon when the sun has gone from the main patio. Apart from these points it was lovely accommodation.

It was immaculately clean and we even met the owners who were so lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. Love the down stairs facilities bedrooms and beautiful bathroom shower room my main reason for choosing as I can’t use stairs now. I do have to agree with the all the previous comments the sofas they really uncomfortable it certainly didn’t help my pain I have MS and unfortunately couldn’t get comfortable throughout our stay I spent most of my time sitting in the kitchen! I do wish there was a bigger freezer box it was only a tiny one Inside the fridge … being Xmas we had lots of frozen food unfortunately we couldn’t use but we didn’t throw away we gave to a food bank to be used on the day we gave them …. We would certainly stay again BUT only if the sofas are changed to more comfortable ones. Thanks happy new year 2023

Thank you for your helpful comments. As previously said in other comments new sofas are on order and should arrive shortly in the new year. We will also look into getting a fridge with a bigger freezer compartment. It was lovely to meet you too and we hope you will visit again in 2023. ***Update. It was really cool and comfortable in the heatwave. Lovely, private outdoor space with regular visits from the birds. Great for families. I would highly recommend it as a base to explore Somerset from and to have relaxing days to enjoy the seaside attractions of Burnham on Sea. We enjoyed an easy journey to Cheddar Gorge and had a great day. It's an hour's drive to South Devon. In between, we wandered around Burnham enjoying the attractions, sights, pubs and beach, all easy to do on foot. Only thing, we'd have liked a proper freezer. But Tesco is a 3 minute walk, so easy to just live off fridge stuff.
