  • "Our second consecutive stay over the last two years and it was as good as the first."

Immaculate, clean and very comfy place to relax for a quiet week away. Perfectly situated to explore all of Cornwall and neighbouring Plymouth. Being extremely picky, the TV could do with an upgrade to a Smart TV where guests, if they wish could sign in to their own TV platforms such as Netflix, Disney, Prime etc. and have a wider choice than the FreeSat channels. This is just my opion and would by no means stop me visiting a third time next year. My wife and I love stopping here at Nightingale Cottage.

Thank you for your lovely feedback it means a lot glad you enjoyed your 2nd stay with us noted about TV see you next year Property Owner

  • "The property was beautiful, clean and welcoming, the property owner had left cream teas for us on arrival which were delicious."

Everything was in the cottage that you could want for self catering. The owner delivered fresh bedding and towels for our second week it was lovely to meet her in person, very personable and friendly. The location of the cottage was great , we went site seeing every day with so many beautiful places to visit and most not too far away. The area where the cottage is situated is really peaceful apart from the birds which is always lovely to hear, with no light pollution and clear sky's at night we slept really well ever night. Would thoroughly recommend

  • "We had a lovely stay at Nightingale Cottage."

Very well equips and clean. The cottage is in a great location for exploring different parts of Cornwall. We would happily stay at Nightingale again. The only thing we did find was still bring March, during our stay, at times it was a little on the cool side in the cottage.

Evening There are extra modern heaters on the wall in both bedroom and lounge area it is all listed in the handover folder if you got chilly....also wood burning stove in bedroom.... but i'm surprised as it's on control set at 21 so it should always be warm with the underfloor heating. i will check the controls to make sure no one has fiddled with them.., see you again hopefully glad you enjoyed our little cottage .... thank you Property Owner

  • "We had such a beautiful time in Cornwall and Nightingale Cottage was a big part of that!"

So comfortable, welcoming and incredibly well equipped. A very warm welcome when we arrived, directions were spot on too, definitely don’t follow sat nav. Loved the decoration, was just perfect. We ate at the cottage every evening and didn’t want for anything in the kitchen. My only suggestion would be some more ideas on restaurants/take away in the local area, we did want a take away one evening but didn’t know where was best. The folder left in the cottage had lots of great information about walks and places to visit too. Thank you so much!!

Thank you for your lovely comments I take on board all comments and will look into adding some takeaways restaurants in and around the area To the folder at the cottage Thank Karen Property Owner

There is nothing that has not been thought of. Immaculate - if you are a 'neat-freak' then this is one place you will be able to relax in, it is cleaned to a very high standard. A comfortable 'firm' mattress, and nice bedding & towels that smell delightful. Quality furnishings and the added bonus of a washing machine and dishwasher - detergents included. Lashings of hot water and great rain-head shower. Located in an ideal spot - 20 mins to a beach by car. This is a quiet spot and is surrounded by the beautiful Cornish countryside. Highly recommend you give this lil gem a try.

Had a wonderful time. Lovely welcome pack of local produce. Very minor problem was several heating systems and the underfloor heating never seemed to activate, this was not a major problem as we were very comfortable. All in all a wonderful cottage and a fabulous stay.

Thank you for your feed back, the underfloor CH system is pre set at a comfortable 20 degrees. You will appreciate that our rental fees are calculated around the price of electricity and that if the ambient is greater then 20degrees the CH will not activate Hope this answers your comment.... Well laid out, everything we needed, lovely location, nice outside space with table and chairs, lots of games, books and dvds if needed. Central for going to the south coast or north, and the various attractions. Everything worked without a problem, booking, communication, arrival with key box on the door, contact point (although didn’t need). Had a great time, would return again. Only thing I’d add to change would be some wedges under the coffee table to stop rolling about, as on wheels, but a small thing.
