  • "What a wonderful cottage."

It’s all as advertised and more. We only had a weekend stay but have already booked for a week next year. A really magical feeling walking through the front door. Probably the most memorable cottage we have stayed in.

  • "Cracking week at the Sawmill."

Owner very friendly and always on hand if needed. Very quirky but everything you could need fitted in a well thought out manner. Lovely small enclosed garden for the dog to roam without worry of escape and 2 minute walk to open exercise area and local walks. 2 minute walk into Beaminster with its array of pubs and eateries and a shop to satisfy all your needs. We will be back despite the extremely wet weather !

  • "We had such a lovely stay at The Sawmill."

The property is quirky and secluded but set close to amenities, which was exactly the balance we were looking for. Beaminster is a great base as you have a choice of cafes, boutique and food shops in stunning surroundings. The coast is just a short drive if you want a bit of beach time. The hosts were fantastic too, there but not there in just the right measure. Thanks for a lovely relaxing holiday.

Fabulous accommodation, quirky and so well appointed, loved spending time reading and chilling. But the great walks with the dog right from the front door draws you outdoors. Would not think twice about returning.

  • "This is our second visit to the Saw Mill and we have thoroughly enjoyed both holidays."

It is ideally situated in the village for all amenities ( shops, bakers, butchers, pubs )within walking distance. Local walks on the doorstep and the coast a short drive away. Many places to visit if the weather is not so good but the accomodation is so lovely its tempting to just stay in. A lovely courtyard to sit in too. We would love to visit again.

Michelle, thanks very much for your comments, really glad you enjoyed your second stay, good luck with your knee! Keith & Jill Property Owner

  • "We had a cosy stay in this delightful Sawmill with the stream running all a round it in the lovely village of Beaminster."

It had everything and more to make our stay wonderful. Well equipped kitchen and facilities. The garden was a surprise with several seating areas! The owners couldn't have been more helpful, supplying us with logs etc when needed. The wood burning stove was the highlight along with everything else. A wonderful find.

THE SURROUNDINGS WERE A BONUS TOO WITH TWO YOUNG DOGS TO RUN OFF LEAD LITERALLY ON THE DOORSTEP. SO ALTHOUGH WE HAD BAD WEATHER FOR JULY WE HAD A GREAT TIME RELAXING IN THE COTTAGE LISTENING TO THE STREAM. WE MET KEITH AND JILL ON OUR WALK WITH THEIR DOG CEDRIC(ADORABLE) AND WERE VERY PLEASANT. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO YOU BOTH . WILL RECOMMEND HIGHLY .

  • "Property was very nice, well equipped and clean with a good garden to sit in."

Friendly host who was very knowledgeable about the area. Property was quirky and this was part of its charm but the only downside for us was stairs and low ceiling height in bedroom as we did hit our heads a number of times but this was clearly detailed in property description.
