"Very nice cottage, well equipped, clean and comfortable."
Games room a bonus. Very pleased that the garden was secure for the dog (many advertised as such haven’t been). The cottage is away from the bustle of Weymouth but it’s within easy reach. Stunning landscape all around.

Step inside this attractive abode and be welcomed into the sitting room, home to exposed wooden beams and stonework along with the added warmth of an inglenook fireplace, the ideal spot for cosying up on those chilly evenings as you enjoy a film or family games night.
The delightful English country kitchen diner is spacious and has all you need to rustle up a tasty meal for all to enjoy whilst planning your holiday itinerary or reminiscing on the past days’ adventures.
When night draws in, climb the stairs to one of the two bedrooms; one super king room and one triple room housing 3 single beds and an en-suite with basin and WC, along with an additional groundfloor bathroom with bath, over-head shower, basin and wc.
The cottage boasts a large south facing garden and sheltered patio area where children and dogs can play safety whilst you enjoy some alfresco dining in the warmer months, and just across the road next to the main farmhouse, you will find The Old Stable, a communal games room with a football and tennis table along with a selection of games and books to borrow and read at your leisure.
The bustling town of Weymouth can be reached within a 15-minute drive and here you will find a whole host of attractions for all ages.
Revel in a pure bucket and spade fun on the glorious golden sandy beach teamed with safe and shallow waters, perfect for taking a dip or getting involved in some of the water sports on offer.
The attractive esplanade is lined with shops, bars and cafes for you to grab a bite to eat or buy a souvenir to take back home, and the old historic harbour is a fabulous spot to sit and watch all the comings and goings of luxury yachts, fishing trawlers, tall ships, RNLI Lifeboats and across harbour rowing ferries.

Portesham is a beautiful West Dorset village, superbly located for access to the spectacular World Heritage Jurassic Coast, South West Coastal Path and South Dorset Ridgeway, in an area of outstanding natural beauty and only a short drive from Weymouth, Dorchester or Bridport. The village is surrounded by glorious countryside, with direct access to public footpaths including the south west coastal path. There is an excellent local pub serving good food and real ales, and a village farm store. A great base for touring, there is plenty to see and do within a short drive of this picturesque area, including Abbotsbury Swannery and Tropical Gardens. Take a walk up to St Catherine’s Chapel and experience the fantastic views over Chesil beach. The bustling market town of Dorchester is just 8 miles away, with its array of interesting shops, restaurants and museums. Within easy reach is the family friendly seaside resort of Weymouth and the Jurassic coast, and also dramatic Portland, venue for the 2012 Olympic sailing events.
