Great views over the sea and coastline. Property is well maintained and garden is really secluded and the dog loved it.just about all you need for a good holiday.

  • "One bedside light not working."

Changed bulbs over but it must be something more technical. Dustbin outside door didn’t smell nice. Needs a disinfectant clean out. Also a note on the door to ask for the bin to be put out on collection day might help eliminate this. Beds were really comfy. Accommodation was lovely. No welcome pack so basics like tea, coffee, sugar, milk you’ll have to bring. View was lovely past the car park. The free parking was a nice touch. I did use the garden but cushions for seats stored in the summer house did smell a bit. Nice sun trap down there though. People at lower seascape were noisy with kids running around so bare that in mind you may get some noise. Close to everything, spacious, fully equipped kitchen. Over all a nice place.

  • "Property good."

Garden could do with some maintenance. However our whole stay was overshadowed by the major building work going on next door. Daily sawing, drilling & hammering could be heard inside the flat & in the garden from 9am. Unfortunately we were not warned about this before we booked or given the chance to change our booking. There was no mention of the building work in the listing. Our complaint was met with little interested from Lyme Bay (you deal with contact centres, the local team did not come to talk to us) or the owners (who didn’t acknowledge that they should have told us before we arrived). So we wouldn’t recommend booking with Lyme Bay or these owners. You may be unpleasantly surprised by what you have booked.

Thank you for your feedback. Very glad to hear that you enjoyed the property, but sorry that you had troubles with nearby noise. The neighbour is undertaking some building work a few doors down, unfortunately we were not made aware that the project was starting. As I am sure you can appreciate we have no control over other members of the public undertaking maintenance on their own property. The owner did offer you compensation, which we understand you accepted, or the use of a private beach hut, which we understand you declined. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. • "We loved our stay at Seascape - the photos don't do it justice, as it's a lot bigger than we expected which was a bonus."

Like others, we had a couple of days of rain at the start of our stay but once the sun came out we were able to enjoy the view of Golden Cap in the distance. We had a lovely walk down to the beach every morning with our 5 month old cockapoo Elsie, who loved having somewhere new to explore. The steep steps to the garden were fine, once she got used to them! Our only feedback would be that we couldn't open a couple of the windows, and a lamp or 2 may make the living room a little cosier in the evenings. But other than that - we'd definitely return :-) Oh and I've just remembered - the extractor fan in the bathroom was on all the time; not a huge deal but I know it was mentioned in a previous comment.

  • "A fabulous apartment!"

Great views out to the coast, comfy and well equipped. A short walk down into town. We had lovely weather except for a couple of rainy days but this flat is perfect as you can watch the weather from the bright living room. Thanks, we had a brilliant holiday.

  • "This is our second visit."

We love the location and the views. The apartment is lovely and suits us. Some suggestions for improvements/maintenance repairs.. the main bathroom is in need of a new blind, cistern push flush is loose and the extractor fan is permanently on. A welcome pack would be nice with some basics tea, coffee milk etc. outside needs more TLC, weeding and regular maintenance to the garden. Having said that we will come again.

Thank you for your comments. The issue with the extractor fan has now been fixed. We will pass on your comments about the garden to the owner who maintains it. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Well equipped kitchen, clean and comfortable flat with lovely sea and countryside views."

The listing could be clearer that the property overlooks a very large car park (not noisy though) and that the garden is accessed down a large number of steps. Whilst the main bedroom is too small for a chair or chest of drawers we suggest adding shelves to the little wardrobes as there was nowhere to put our non hanging clothes.

Thank you for your comments. We have added to the description to make it clear that there are steps to the deck and garden area, and we are planning to take some additional photos for the marketing to reflect the updates within the apartment/views. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Really disappointed with the accommodation ."

The approach to property was very unloved. Rubbish bins full and in full view. No welcome pack, we have booked with Sykes many times and always had one! The back garden was full of weeds and the cushions on garden furniture was dirty and soaking wet. These could have been stored in the poorly maintained summer house. Toilet in main bathroom was dirty. We went out and purchased bleach Lack of storage space in main bedroom- no where to put under garments, T-shirts etc The sea view is very misleading, yes there is one! The main views are a large carpark and a piece of waste land with rubbish dumped on it. The tv remote didn’t work The flush on toilet system is loose Off loading was a nightmare the neighbours were not happy about this. Their was a a very damp smell in entrance hall We paid a lot of money for this accommodation and it has been bar far the worse we have every booked with Sykes Will definitely think twice of using you again

We will take your feedback into consideration regarding the sea view. This property does not provide a welcome hamper. The garden is maintained by the owner and we have contacted him to make him aware of the garden growth. In spite of this we hope that you enjoyed your stay in Lyme Regis. • "We loved seascape."

Everything was clean and tidy. Couple of maintenance jobs that need looking at. The hedge on the stairs to the garden needs cutting back as it will soon overgrow the steps. Also the shower in the downstairs the hot control didn’t seem to go round enough to make the shower very hot compared to the one upstairs. Oh and some oven gloves please. We will definitely be back as soon as we can. The parking permit was a bonus. See you soon

We do apologise if there weren't any oven gloves available and will ensure that these are supplied. The shower has been changed, and the hedge is regularly trimmed. Thanks for your comments on these. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "We have returned to Upper Seascape multiple times as we love it there."

The flat is very well furnished and comfy, a real home from home with a very well equipped kitchen. We love the views of Golden Cap from the lounge windows. The garden is an added bonus especially as we have a dog and children who enjoy the space to run around. The large summer house is also useful for when the weather’s not so good and we don’t want to go to the beach. Upper Seascape has everything we want for a lovely British seaside holiday. The extra shower room on the ground floor is brilliant for when the family come in covered in sand straight from the beach.

  • "We had a very enjoyable stay in Upper Seascape."

The property was large with a good size garden for our dog to run around in. Ideally situated and just a short walk to the harbour and shops. The property offers great views over to the hills and sea, from the lounge and master bedroom. However, just to point out, the table and chairs on the lower patio could do with replacing. Also, there are stairs to climb in order to enter the accommodation once inside. If you have mobility issues, please be aware of this... All in all though, we would highly recommend Upper Seascape as a great base to visit Lyme and surrounding areas. Thank you :)

  • "We very much enjoyed the facilities made available to us."

An attractive property that is modern in appearance and very well equipped throughout. It benefits from a great view and a close-to-town location, with the old town and country walks and cliff-garden walks near at hand. While parking required use of the provided voucher this was never a problem and the car remained in sight of the property. A lovely holiday!

  • "The inside of Upper Seascape was very nice and clean and served us well for the week."

There were a few negatives. Parking. We knew we had to use the car park permit but on two occasions it was full and had to park elsewhere. Garden & Patio. This was not satisfactory as it had not been maintained and was very overgrown with weeds and until we did an hour's gardening was unusable. The garden furniture also needs replacing and the summer house is in need of refurbishing and furnishing to enable it to be used. We would not recommend the property to anybody with mobility issues as the climb up the hill is very steep and the car park is half way down the hill.
