The property

Sunset Lodge is a lovely, three-bed apartment located along the coast on the Isle of Portland, in Fortuneswell, Dorset.

With beautiful views from the balcony and only a short walk to Chesil Beach, this retreat welcomes family and friends seeking a coastal adventure to Dorset.

Inside, you can let the designated chef get to work in the kitchen, while everyone catches up on the day's exploration.

On colder days you may want to snuggle up with your loved ones in the sitting room and enjoy a hot chocolate with a good read.

And when the weather permits, step out onto the balcony and savour a refreshing drink as you admire the sunshine and sea views.

When sleep calls, head to the first floor, where you will two king-size bedrooms and a twin bedroom, ideal for catching your night's rest.

The bathroom with a bath and separate shower, ensures you can indulge in a leisurely soak or refreshing rinse after a long day at the beach.

The area is very popular with water sports enthusiast with National Sailing Academy being close-by and waters perfect for all kinds of water sports.

The Isle of Portland is fantastic for beachcombing, walking, birdwatching and sailing, scuba diving and angling.

You may wish to take a walk around the island or explore inland.

The views from the property are stunning no matter the weather with waves crashing to the Chesil beach.

You may wish to go and admire the views from a short distance, it’s an experience you will not forget.

Right on your doorstep, you'll find a charming mix of independent shops, convenient stores, and local pubs and restaurants—ideal for those nights when you’d rather skip cooking.

You can head to Weymouth for bigger supermarkets and for a sandy golden beach, only a short drive away from the property.

Weymouth 5 miles.

Situated on Dorset's spectacular Jurassic Coast, now a World Heritage Site, the village of Fortuneswell can be found on the rugged Isle of Portland peninsula, joined to the mainland via Chesil Beach, a pebble spit, which stretches 18 miles towards West Bay. Formerly a quarrying area, Fortuneswell boasts a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, along with an intriguing maze of streets that wind their way up a steep hill to offer stunning views of the Jurassic Coast and the rolling hills of Dorset beyond. The surrounding countryside is well known as a birdwatcher’s paradise, plus with great walking and climbing opportunities, an array of watersport activities, wonderful sandy beaches, and Weymouth just 5 miles away, this super holiday destination is not to be missed!
