  • "Views & grounds are perfect for families with small children and dog/s."

Facilities and living space was great for a family of 5 of all ages. If we were staying for longer we would have appreciated a washing machine / clothes airer to help to dry clothes. Struggled to get the shower water temperature right but we managed, the pressure was great!

  • "We had such a lovely few days staying here."

The lodge is really sweet and was clean and cosy ready for our arrival! The views are amazing and it’s such a peaceful location. The garden is fully enclosed so we could let our little pooch wander about without worrying about her dashing after a rabbit into the great beyond! It was lovely to have breakfast and watch the blue tits etc feeding close by and the horses in the fields below. We really did just relax and unwind! It’s a great location for exploring the scenery. We visited Lyme Regis, Exmouth & did some lovely coastal walks. The cooker & microwave came in handy for cooking simple dinners. The essentials were there in the kitchen such as W/up liquid, dishwasher tablets/ T-towel (but only the one)/dishcloth & sponge, also the kitchen had various saucepans bowls/spoons & equipment you’d need. The only think I missed was a jug to measure the stock for the Risotto I cooked. The owner was really nice & responsive and supplied fresh towels for the bathroom later in the week when requested, and answered our questions about closest supermarket. The only thing extra I would have liked is hand towels for the kitchen & extra for the bathroom, but the owner is so nice I’m sure he would have dropped some off if I’d asked. I would definitely like to return! I am missing the tranquility of the setting as I type

  • "Good for dog as was a safe enclosed garden."

The lodge is beautiful and the Bbq hut divine. You could walk to pub in 20 mins but it was on a busy road with narrow path on a very steep hill. . I wouldn't recommend it if you had a pram or small children. If you resign that you will have to use the car everyday you will be thoroughly satisfied. seaside around 30 mins. Absolutely beautiful gardens to visit within a few miles. We loved it

  • "Sunny side Lodge is absolutely amazing."

Extremely comfortable and cosy. The week we visited it rained almost non stop but it was still an amazing place with all home comforts and stunning views. The Lodge was very peaceful and relaxing but within a short car ride to shops and attractions. We visited Lyme Regis dinosaur museums and we went fossil hunting across the jurassic coast. Our kids loved every minute. We'll worth a visit. Laura the owner was brilliant responding to any queries and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated after a long journey with children. Photos don't do this place justice as much better in person.

Very friendly owner and family . Daughter loved the riding lessons and taking part at the stables adjacent. Good location for visiting the Dorset coast and many local attractions. Used amazing new bbq hut every day. Small point needs a washing machine , but will hopefully be back soon , highly recommended.

  • "The lodge was very clean and had everything you need for a short stay."

We took a lot of things with us such as washing up liquid, tea towels, kitchen towel, toilet roll etc but it was already supplied. We even had a welcome hamper left for us including teas, coffee, milk, eggs, bread etc and my most favourite of all was the homemade shortbread! My dog had a welcome pack too! That was a lovely surprise. It was modern and very comfortable. We were pleased to find that the driveway had a gate so our dog couldn't escape! And the lovely kids play house was full of toys also. The only criticism we would have is the driveway down to the lodge. We have a 4x4 and it was very tight getting down to the lodge especially with those huge rocks on the bend, but we did with no mishap thankfully! The view was beautiful and we loved watching the horses in their paddocks. It was so quiet and peaceful, a great place to escape to. We would very much like to stay here again in the future!

  • "It was such a treat to stay at sunnyside lodge - luxury accommodation overlooking beautiful scenery and a really nice wooden playhouse for the girls to play in - in the evening we enjoyed a couple of BBQ's on the veranda and the owners were very welcoming."

The lodge has everything for a relaxing stay and it is immaculately presented. We visited some lovely places while we were here- a little village Hinton st George with gorgeous pub garden, beaminster, west bay and more - we are looking forward to returning.

  • "Fantastic lodge, comfortable and clean, wonderful views."

Private, enclosed garden. Short walk into town (15 mins). A quiet and relaxing break watching the comings and goings of the stables and the horses in the fields. Just what we were looking for.
