  • "The house was among the very best we have stayed in during our decades of self catering holidays all over the UK and Ireland."

The lochside location was perfect, as was the fact that it is halfway between Fort William and Inverness and just a 1 hour drive from Skye. The only thing that could improve the experience would be the addition of a microwave oven in the kitchen. Our thanks to the owner for providing a perfect location for a wonderful holiday.

  • "Fantastic house and location."

Extremely delighted with our week there and will definitely return. Highlights include wood burner, great appliances and fittings all to a very high standard. I thought I was in a palace! There are a few things that we think would be beneficial: 1. King size bed but it was still extremely comfy. 2. Some garden furniture for those sunny days 3. Bushes trimmed on driveway at front of house and at entrance.

  • "The property is very welcoming, comfortable and calm in a beautiful setting with fantastic views over the loch, there is someone on hand if you have a problem but there weren't any for us, we highly recommend you visit."

  • "The Boat House is a first class and peaceful place to stay and enjoy Scotland."

It has been expertly built and furnished and there is nothing to find fault with. The views from the windows both up and downstairs offer uninterrupted views of the loch and hills opposite. There is no nearby traffic or people to interrupt the solitude. I would highly recommend and will certainly return again.

  • "Lovely cottage, good base for many walks."

My only suggestion is that they replace the (non- functional) upper oven with a microwave oven. Otherwise it’s hard to find fault.

We had a fantastic holiday in Invergarry and the Highlands. Loch Oich is stunning and weather was superb. Everything in boat house was too a great standard. Can't wait for another visit in near future. Garry and Mirella

  • "An absolute joy staying 30th Jun for 7 nights."

Ample room for 2 people.Spotlessly clean and all you need for your break. So peaceful and surrounded by nature which suits us fine. First day for example had a visit in front of us at lochside of a kingfisher sitting waiting for a fish which was caught and returned to its perch plus many sightings including pair of black throated divers. Plenty walks around the grounds and places of interest easy driving with breathtaking scenery. Hotel serves fab scones and coffee/tea and delicious dinner ( best to book ahead for dinner). Janetta is on hand for any problems or advice .Although we didnt require any assistance always good to know she was there for us. So thank you for your service and giving us the most relaxing break in the Boathouse Dave & Chris

Area has a really nice peaceful feel right on the lake with deer being seen in the evenings right from the balcony. House has everything that is needed with the bonus of a fire place. Very easy bookings process and easily to find based on directions given. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed so far and I hope to return one day. I would definitely recommend Boath House to anyone.

  • "The boat House is lovely, a really peaceful location, with amazing views and wildlife all around."

We had a truly relaxing break, a shame the weather did not allow us to use the bedroom balcony as much as we would have liked, but the view into the dark sky at night was wonderful. Very good finish to the whole property, nice warming log fire. We only discovered Fort Augustus late in the day, but it offered great eating and views of the loch ladder from Lochness. Would highly recommend a stay in this lovely location. With an afternoon tea at the local invergarry castle hotel. Look forward to a return visit.
