  • "Although we had some minor problems the owner sorted these out very quickly."

Lovely lodge very quiet and relaxing.

  • "A bit over furnished for the space actually available."

The planting at the front blocked the view while seated. However it was a good location and handy for Medway Towns

  • "We were pleased with the accommodation."

The furnishings were a little outdated but functional. The lodge was fully equipped with everything you needed including instructions for all the appliances, places of interest, books, games etc. It was set in a gated complex with four other lodges, well off the mail road in a well looked after grassed area overlooking fields. There was secure car parking adjacent to the lodge.

  • "Great location and easy access to local beaches etc."

Good comms with lodge owner to locate a key to second door onto terrace which we needed to open due to hot weather. The lodge was ok, a wee bit tired looking but was a clean enough and well equipped (although the fridge could do with replacing as wasn’t as cold as could have been and freezer compartment too small) Very comfy beds and it suited our needs for a weeks stay.

  • "What we liked was the rural and quiet location."

In addition, the landlady really tried very hard. I have to say about the lodge that the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We had to do a thorough cleaning on the first day in order to be able to go on vacation at all. It gives the impression that the cleaning team collects money but does not do their job. For example: Dirty crockery in the kitchen cupboards. I wanted to make coffee, took a cup out of the cupboard and looked inside and outside of the cup for dried old coffee residue. The cupboards in the kitchen and the bedrooms were totally dirty from the inside, the drain from the sink in the bathroom was full of hair. The landlady has been informed about this problem and wants the cleaning team to check it, as they are rarely on site themselves. New pots should be purchased because the existing ones can no longer be used for cooking. The washing machine does not wash light-colored laundry properly, leaving stains in it after washing. In addition, the washing machine is so loud when washing that you can no longer talk. The machine appears to have ball bearing damage. However, the beds are positive, you can sleep wonderfully in them. All in all I would not book a lodge in Country View Park a second time.

  • "Thought the freezer compartment in the fridge needed a defrost."

Washing machine shook the whole place, (probably drum).

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry the Freezer had not been defrosted: I visited the Lodge myself on reading this and attended to that. Thanks once again for bringing it to my attention. Property Owner

About the location

SEASALTER

Whitstable 2 miles; Herne Bay 6 miles; Canterbury 5 miles; Faversham 5 miles; Westgate-on-Sea 10 miles.

Seasalter is a pretty village located by the sea on the north coast of Kent, between the towns of Whitstable and Faversham. The beach at Seasalter is mainly shingle and sand and therefore quieter than the more sandy bays at Westgate-on-Sea which is just along the coast. Seasalter Sailing Club, which has a clubhouse on Faversham Road, hosts catamaran boats which race on the River Swale Estuary, and there is also a private Water Ski Club with launch ramp. The Sportsman is a very popular pub and restaurant, earning a Michelin-star in 2008, so if you are celebrating a special event while visiting Seasalter this offers a mouthwatering menu, just make sure to book in advance. Public transport is very well covered in this village with regular buses to Canterbury, Whitstable and Faversham, each place offering visitors a day full of interest. Canterbury is ideal for a day exploring historic houses, taking walks or boat trips along the river, visiting a museum or two, a theatre evening or just enjoying a browse around the shops. A little less well known is that in Canterbury The Spitfire Ground is home to Kent County Cricket Club, and as well as cricket hosts other events during the year, so if a day of "leather on willow" is just for you or maybe a music event is more your scene, look to see what is on during your stay. Whitstable is a quaint coastal town, with cobbled streets, quirky shops and a well -visited fishing harbour where you can buy fish straight off of the boats, and if you want something to wash it down with, then take a trip to Faversham where you can take a guided tour around Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewery dating back to 1698 and select a bottle to take home. After all the tours and sampling you may feel a day of walks and beachcombing could be just what you need, so pack a picnic and with a beach towel and a hat to shield the sun, make for the beach at Seasalter and enjoy the sound of the waves and the scent of the sea!
