  • "Lovely stay, really enjoyed the apartment."

It was lovely and clean, modern and felt like a home from home. It is right in the heart of Keswick therefore close to amenities and the lake. The drying room is a great idea for wet clothes. We went paddle boarding so it was great to put our wetsuits in there. A note of warning: if you’re a light sleeper bring earplugs, you could hear every footstep of the people staying in the apartment above (they may have just walked loudly) and the main road next to the room late at night could be loud from cars accelerating up to the top. Other than that perfect stay and we would love to return.

  • "The apt was spacious, comfortable and clean and free from ornaments cluttering the place - a real winner for us."

Plenty of space for coats, shoes etc. We liked the ‘no key’ access to the apt as it meant you couldn’t get locked out - it worked so well. The bed was large and comfortable. The equipment was good quality. Overall it was the best place we’ve stayed in the Lake District. Only 2 small gripes - a clear message about towels and tea towels being provided would be helpful. More mugs would have been useful.

The accommodation comprised of high standard fixtures and fittings with lovely artwork. Very warm, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a lovely week with lots of long dog walks followed by dog friendly cafes and pubs. We will definitely come again!

  • "I found the apartment too warm and was constantly turning the heating down."

I’d prefer to turn heating up when I needed it . The parking space is a joke, especially as the neighbour never actually parks within his lines . If we had parked in our allocated space then the other guest would not have got out . Please don’t over promise, or be honest that the space is for a small car. I found the bed far too hard. Maybe a topper would help . I know see other people have mentioned it on various sites . Otherwise nicely decorated, well equipped, quiet and great location.

Lovely accommodation, with a warm welcome from the wonderful on site manager, Angela, and luxury goodies in the kitchen. Why would we stay anywhere else? Only one small niggle. You can’t see in the mirror over the dressing table when you sit down on the chair, so you have to stand to dry your hair. Could this be lowered please?

The flat was spacious, comfortable and equipped and furnished to very high standard. It is also in a great location within easy walking distance of Hope Park, the lake, the town centre and the Convention Centre, which was our main purpose for holidaying in Keswick. Angela, the live-in manager, was very friendly and helpful. In all we had a wonderful, relaxing time and will be booking again. The car parking space was great too.

The standard of cleanliness, facilities, decor and comfort were faultless, and the central location was ideal for the shops, bars, park, theatre and lake. In fact, we loved it so much that within an hour of arriving, we made the decision to book the same apartment for Christmas. Angela, the caretaker, had left a lovely welcome pack of local produce for our arrival. She was so nice and friendly and always available in case of any problems (although we had none). Howe Keld is the best place we have stayed in at Keswick on numerous visits over a period of 25 years and we would thoroughly recommend it.

  • "Top class holiday rental."

Howe Keld 2. We have stayed in many apartments and this is our favourite, so much so that we have booked again for six weeks time. Everything is very high spec, top quality, very pleasing to the eye, attention to detail is notable, comfortable in every respect, immaculately clean, very welcoming. A tea tray had been laid out for us with a cake and pot of jam, and tea, fresh coffee, sugar, milk were provided. The provision of things, like tea, towels, towels, bin bags, dishwasher, tablets, was generous. The housekeeper, Angela, is a very good communicator, very pleasant and friendly and willing to do anything to help. The apartment made our holiday, we actually enjoyed spending time in the apartment as much as we did going out exploring. There is only one slight problem for us and that is the parking, which was quite tricky for our car. It would’ve been fine if we had been in a mini though.

One of the best we have stayed in. A lovely apartment which had everything you could wish for and more. On arrival we were met by the apartments manager,Angela, who was very friendly and answered any questions we had. Sidney(pooch) loved all the treats ! The apartment was beautifully decorated and felt very homely and comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and what a delicious welcome pack ! The car park space is a bonus, especially in Keswick. We have an estate car and decided it was easier to reverse in the space as a little tight. We had a really great week celebrating a special birthday. Julie, Jason & Sidney
