  • "The apartment was perfect, exceptionally clean, quality furniture, equipment, crockery and linen and delicious biscuits!"

Providing blankets for the balcony was lovely enabling us to sit out in the evening enjoying the river view but stay cosy. The only very minor point, is the description said a Nespresso coffee maker, which it is, however it doesn't seem to be a domestic one that you can buy pods for. We have a Nespresso at home and bought our favourite pods which didn't fit. However as there was also a cafetiere we used that towards the end of the week when we ran out.

  • "The property was excellent in every way from location to maintenance."

Suggest a few more crockery and cutlery items so as not to need to run the deshwasher so often. Good to see a property with new, firm, upholstered furniture. We had trouble getting into the dustbin and in fact didn't manage it - did we miss some instructions? Dropped one point on "facilities & maintenance" because of this.

It's clean and modern, yet homely enough for you to settle in quickly. It's got everything you could wish for. It's great for relaxing on the balcony watching the river go by, or as a spring board to the Lakes. I'd book again.

We had 5 days sunshine. It is very well appointed, cosy and the owners Michaela & Gary maintain it to high standards, which is why we enjoy returning to stay. Little extras like milk, tea coffee, sugar, biscuits, cleaning products and the personalised welcome card. Also the gorgeous hand, shower gel and body lotion. The area is peaceful with lots of local walks straight from the door. It’s also ideal for exploring by bus, just a short walk away.

The immediate vicinity was quiet and peaceful, just sound of the river and pleasant view from front and rear of the property. The apartment was situated within easy walking distance of the bus stop, and the Stagecoach service gave us access to various parts of the district. We enjoyed the woodland walks full of bluebells, ferns & trees. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked to go again.

Has two balconies. The rear one overlooks the river and gets the morning sunshine. Unfortunately the almost constant traffic noise took the edge off the enjoyment. Other than that very pleased. Took the steam train (only a short walk from the room) to lakeside and The boat along lake Windermere. Motor museum and aquarium close by. All in all an enjoyable week.

Built in sympathy with the local environment and heritage; there was also a choice of two lovely balconies to access and sit outside if needed. It was lovely seeing the steam train pass each day on its way to Lake Windermere. We were blessed with good weather so this was a great base to use. • "Accomodation was a bit smaller than we expected but a perfect base for doing things in this area."

There were two heat detectors in the livingroom/kitchen area and everyday they went off even though we had the extractor fan on & every window & balcony door open, regardless of whether we were making a slice of toast or a meal in the oven. I know legislation dictates where and how many detectors there are but they are extremely sensitive.

  • "Leven View is a fantastic apartment for two people."

The owners make themselves available if you have any problems; e.g. where is the cutlery drawer :) The little gifts left for you on arrival are also very much appreciated. The apartment is ideally situated for exploring the Lake District, but also allows you to access local walks from your doorstep. Inside, it is immaculate and has everything you need for your stay. The two balconies are a bonus. The only negative is the road noise on the back balcony as it takes away the serene sound of the running river water. All-in-all, I would definitely recommend this place if you are a couple and need a good base for a holiday to the Lake District.

It was modern & comfortable & felt home from home. Nice touches like fresh flowers & a box of biccies was appreciated. Seating & bed was very comfortable & a large TV with amazon prime was welcomed. The owners had obviously chosen carefully on its decor & soft furnishings & maintained everything to a high standard. 2 verandas front & back we're nice & used the back (facing the river) more. There is some road noise but it didn't detract from the overall pleasantness. Leven View is one of the best self catering properties we've stayed in & wholeheartedly recommend it.
