  • "The perfect base for exploring Cumbria, the Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District."

    The Annex is cute, well equipped, incredibly cosy, and Sue & Nick were so friendly. The village is heaven. The only sounds were songbirds and farm animals, and we were fortunate to see an amazing show of the northern lights. We definitely recommend this property.

  • "Very comfortable little cottage in beautiful area."

    It was nice to be left things like milk, croissants and orange juice. The electric wood burner fire was a welcome addition as the weather was a bit cool while we were there. Good value for money.

  • "I visited La'l Skaithe at New Year, the cottage is so beautiful and cosy, in a lovely picuresque village and in a perfect location for visiting the Yorkshire Dales or Lake District."

    I enjoyed some lovely walks in the surrounding area and visited Buttermere as it was only 1 hours drive away. The owners Sue and Nick were so warm and welcoming, giving me lots of information for my stay and were even kind enough to invite me to join them on a hike as I was visiting alone. A very enjoyable, peaceful stay which enabled me to rest and recharge, I will definitely be back. Thnak you so much.
