  • "I would certainly recommend this lovely property."

Spotlessly clean. Warm. Comfortable bed. Compact but enough space for 2 people and certainly plenty of storage. A small ironing board and iron would have been useful. Beautiful area for exploring and walks from the door. We hope to return.

Thankyou for your kind review. Property Owner

Close enough to Penrith for basic needs ( and well connected -nearby Langwathby on Settle /Carlisle line ) but away from the crowds of the Lakes and with lovely surroundings.

  • "An absolutely spotless little cottage with all you need for your stay in a delightful village."

We were very lucky with the weather and the patio is a lovely sun-trap. Plenty of walks locally and well situated for the Lakes and the Pennines. A bit hidden as not signed on the driveway and can be easily missed as we did. If you have the playground on your left and then a bus stop the driveway is just beyond the bus stop, Th Cobbles is at the top of the drive.

  • "The cobbles is a hidden gem for couples or single travelers."

It is situated in a peaceful country village with a variety of walks on your doorstep and is an ideal base to explore Cumbria and the Lakes. The cottage is cosy and comfortable with everything you need including a wood burner with logs. On arrival we were delighted to receive small welcome items. The neighbouring village of Mellerby has a great cafe called the Old Bakery. William and Susan

  • "Friendly and helpful), have provided everything you will need for a comfortable holiday."

Easy access to the Lake District, Cross Fell and the Pennines. The Roman Wall not too far away. Lovely countryside all around. Plenty to do in the vicinity whatever your choice. The "Directions" on your "Upcoming bookings" sheet, for anyone unfamiliar with the area are not helpful. Everyone doesn't start their journey from within Penrith. From which direction are visitors approaching? I think you need to look at this again.
