• "Marsh Garth is very comfortable, warm and well equipped."

  The cleanliness is excellent! It is set in a quiet cul de sac with a nice garden and a pleasant outlook. It has lovely dog walks overlooking the marshes and estuary from the doorstep. It is also in a great location for coastal walks, visiting the lakes and lots of tourist attractions. Would highly recommend and we will be returning!

• "Very clean and well equipped."

  Spacious accommodation. The bed was perfect, it was so comfortable. The shower was great. Lovely garden. Quiet location convenient for the South Lakes. We would definitely recommend this property.

• "Everything is wonderful and brilliant."

  We have a very lovely holiday. Our giant baby also made good connection to his new friends, the cow families. The environment and property facilities are perfect. If the fence can be upgraded and improved to stronger type, the pet owners will be more comfortable and relaxed to let their pets to make new friends with the cows.

• "The property was exactly as advertised with a fabulous back garden The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with everything in clean working order."

  The nearest place for a small shop is askham around 10minutes in the car the local pubs were all closed when we got there which was unfortunate however they do have limited opening times so better to check if your expecting pub grub on your first night.

• "No pillow protectors at all,badly stained mattress protector, shower head black with grime,extractor fan in bathroom clogged with dust and cobwebs,lots of black mould on grouting in bathroom,very dirty sofa seating already partly covered with throw,towels smelt stale at start of holiday."

  .it was our 2nd visit. There won't be a third. We have informed the owners of the cleanliness issues.

  We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and we were disappointed to hear of your experience. We have already responded directly to you and raised the matter immediately with our housekeeping company. The housekeepers have acknowledged that the standard of cleaning on this occasion fell well below their usual high standards and have acted to rectify this before the arrival of the next guests. There was a miscommunication between cleaners with regards to the provision of pillow protectors, which are usually in place as standard, and they have reviewed their processes with regard to this and the other cleaning concerns. Our housekeepers can be contacted at any point during a stay to address any concerns that guests may have. This option was not taken up so unfortunately we were unaware of any problems until the end of the stay. We also wish to reassure you that such housekeeping concerns have not been raised by previous guests and we will continue to monitor the situation to ensure there is no repeat. Property Owner

• "The property was was way above any other property that we have stayed in over our years of holidaying it was was to a high standard throughout and everything you could or would need was catered for from providing treats for the dog to treats for the owners all information both on the surrounding activities to instructions on how to operate the various appliances and the rear garden well kept with the wonderful view of the cows …brilliant!"

• "Spacious well equipped in quiet location with excellent secure rear garden dog friendly."

  The property was clean, well maintained and comfortable. Easy walking distance on quiet road to two local pubs. Railway station is an easy walk with access to towns on the west coast. Good range of local walks on country foot paths. Good location for southern lakes.

• "Holiday Bungalow was Fab-U-Lous."

• "Spacious, clean and well equipped in a very quiet location overlooking fields."

  Comfortable beds, good shower with plenty of hot water. The biscuits, chocolates and milk were a welcome surprise. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

• "We were so pleased with Marsh Garth; beautiful bungalow, so well appointed, it had everything we could wish for with lovely big windows and the kitchen/diner was exceptional with high end appliances."

  The bathroom was great, and so were the bedrooms. The whole ambiance of Marsh Garth was comfort and welcoming and we would like to go back. Loved it.

• "We needed a 28 day rental as had to be out of our Static home for that length of time."

• "First time visiting the Lake District and certainly won't be the last."

  Loved this house. It had everything we needed. We were lucky with good weather and sat out the rear patio with a glass (or two) of wine in the sun. This property was perfect for our dog. The rear garden to play, and a stones throw away from a pathway leading to a trail for a walk. Would certainly return to this house and recommend others to book it.

• "A very pleasant stay."

  Even though the weather was really bad. It had everything we needed. One minor bugbear was that the lights in the oven need replacing. It was difficult to see how the food was cooking.

  Shame about the weather for you not very seasonal at all. Regarding the oven bulbs, there has been a problem sourcing suitable replacement bulbs but this has now been resolved so all working now. Property Owner

• "Marsh Garth is a lovely property we had a most enjoyable week with our dog."

  The layout of the kitchen is well thought out and being able to take dog straight in to the garden to wash and dry after our walks was ideal. The area is very convenient for great walks both in the country side around the lakes and on the beach. It is also not to far from nice local pubs with good food.

• "Lovely and comfortable bungalow in a quiet location."

  The bungalow was clean and spacious with all the facilities we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the shower over the bath powerful. We had fantastic weather and loved sitting in the rear garden watching the cows in the next field. The only issue was the 2 narrow steps into the side door which my 88 year old mother struggled with. A handle to help would be useful. Apart from that everything else was perfect and we would highly recommend this bungalow.

• "Lovely Bungalow The bungalow is in a quiet cul-de-sac which is ideally situated for both the estuary and Lake District National Park."

  Lovely garden which our Sprocker Louie enjoyed and there is a lovely buttercup field overlooking the garden which had cows and their calves in which was lovely to look at. The bungalow was clean and very comfortable and the tray of coffee/tea/milk and chocolates was appreciated as were the dog treats left for Louie. The bungalow was well equipped with the exception of a hairdryer. This is the 5th property we have stayed in and this was the only one that did not provide a hairdryer. The only other minor gripe was the 2 very narrow steep steps to enter the property as they were that narrow that you had to put your foot on the side to get up and down them. As with others we wished there was more flexibility with the check-in and check-out times as check-out is 10am yet when we passed the property at 11am no one had arrived so check-out could have easily been 11am which would not have been such a rush for us to get everything done that the owners had asked (stripping the beds and hoovering everywhere). On the whole we had a very enjoyable time.

It can vary when our housekeepers can attend and they need time to prepare the property for the next guests. • "Sat-Nav thinks the property is on the left."

  It's not. It's on the right. Which just goes to show how technology has improved our life. Without it though we may well have missed the turning to what was a quiet little cul de sac. The bungalow has two very narrow steep steps to enter, but once inside the property is in general excellent. Everything we might have wanted was there, along with a much appreciated little tray of goodies to welcome us. The beds were great, very comfortable and snug. We managed to figure out how everything worked, even when the hob and cooker managed to circuit break, we found the trip switch and got it working again. The property was very clean except for a rim around the bath, but we cleaned that off and all was well. The toilet seat was a little fluid, and needed anchoring, but we survived with no issues. We had two dogs with us, a cocker and a springer, and both appreciated the garden which was nice and secure. The property provided lots of poo bags, and dog treats, so they were made extra welcome. They had never seen cows before and having them in a field that looms over the back of the property was an interesting introduction resulting in much barking that eventually stopped by the end of the week. This was a lovely place, very welcoming and we would definitely go back again.

• "Excellent bungalow."

  Clean and very well equipped. The only down side is the late arrival time @ 4pm and early departure @ 10am. There is actually no time for breakfast when as requested the beds needed to be stripped and hoovering throughout. We had to stop for breakfast on our way home. This would put me off booking this property again.

• "It was a lovely cosy clean bungalow to stay iin."

  Location quiet and peaceful, Not far from Windermere approx 30 minutes drive. Lovely walks up on the fells. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend you stay here. Lovely comfy beds, Slept like a log. Our dog also settled well in the bungalow enjoyed the hospitality treats
