  • "Beautiful property in a beautiful setting."

Very comfortable and very well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing mid week break. Easy access to the surrounding countryside and coast. Friendly owner too. We would highly recommend!

  • "This is a great property."

It is bright and airy and spotlessly clean. My only criticism would be having to pay £20 extra for a dog, other than that we really enjoyed our two night stay and would be more than happy to stay again.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at The Owd Sty."

The interior is a master class in design and high quality. Everything you need for a comfortable break. The double shower wet room is a luxurious touch. Such a peaceful stay and serene view from the front seating area. We would suggest two small additions to the lounge area. A coffee table to place drinks when watching TV or reading from the sofa area, and a lamp so as to create some low lighting in the evening. We would certainly recommend these cottages for a break. 25 mins to Blackpool or Lytham. We ate at the Hand and Dagger, great food and dog friendly.

  • "We were looking for peace and quiet in comfortable surroundings, that's exactly what we got."

The cottage sits in lovely countryside on a working farm, the chickens came by every morning to say hello and their eggs were delicious. The accommodation was first class, very clean and well stocked with everything you would need to feel at home. The cottage was lovely and warm with the underfloor heating, especially in the bathroom which was very luxurious with its double shower. Would certainly recommend Thy Owd Sty for a relaxing break.

  • "We had a really lovely stay at Thy Owd Sty."

The owner was very helpful and made sure we were clean and comfortable. The house is gorgeous, all rooms are generous sized with underfloor heating downstairs and in the shower room. There are sunset views from the patio doors and hens wandering outside. It was really peaceful. We would come again.

  • "We stayed at Thy Owd Sty for a few weeks and it is truly a lovely comfortable house with a gorgeous big open plan living space."

All rooms are just wonderful and the large shower room with two showers is just bliss. There is smart TV in 3 rooms with many streaming services. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. She was happy to show us around the farm, seeing the various animals that live on the farm. The patio doors look out onto the farm land with a row of poplar trees and often you will see the owner’s son’s hens pecking around. Nearby are the excellent cafes of Roots and Saswick House Farm and there is an excellent Indian takeaway place in Kirkham.

Luxury and spotless! Great log burning fire. Laura was on site too and took our daughter to see the animals on the farm. She was really friendly and helpful. Have already recommended to a friend and will return. Ribby Hall Village is 14 mins away and a great place to spend the day with children.

Friendly staff on hand and even lit the log burner for us! Nice welcome basket. Everything provided was top quality. Perhaps consider blinds in the bathroom and kitchen, as despite frosted glass, not much privacy when lights are on.
