The welcome pack was very well received - thank you!! There were two living rooms to choose from. We used the back room and found the sofa and chairs very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. I think Rachel has thought of everything. Our little dog really enjoyed exploring every inch of the beautiful garden. We didn't cook and we didn't use the hot tub. The shower was very good. The shutters on the bedroom windows shut out the light really well. It is a short walk over the bridge into the town centre. The Anne of Cleaves was our favourite place to eat with very friendly staff. We thoroughly recommend this holiday home.

Hi Kate, thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are always seeking to improve, was there anything particular we can look at in terms of comfort and facilities? Thank you for choosing us and we hope to welcome you back some day. Warm regards Rachel Property Owner

No information on the house we had to go hunting for things. We heard an incident with the bin men re recycling, all the bins were full when we got there. The bin men when emptying swore and emptied the green bin into the black bin. I don’t think people realised which bin was for what rubbish. They said ……… number 19 again. Small bedroom shows single bed which we thought would be ideal for our daughter when we got there it was a bunk bed not ideal for adults. Found broken wine glass put to the back of cupboard. Dangerous slabs on top patio. Broken light in shed. Broken downstairs sink plug and toilet seat needing tightening up as it was loose. Overall lack of maintenance. When we phoned Rachel about the hot tub not working and dirty she was very good and came out the same day. Front bedroom lack of wardrobe space and bed a small double lucky we are small adults. Fridge door not properly secured with facing door we had to correct this ourselves.

The bed in the 2nd bedroom is a small double which we didn’t realise. Some areas of maintenance are required but this didn’t impact our stay. An area guide & guide to whats in the house would have been useful.

The garden is huge and well kept and the hot tub was a delight. Melton Mowbray is within easy walking distance where you will find pubs, restaurants and shops. A few potential improvements: some instructions for the various appliances (particularly the TV and hot tub), a recycling bin inside to encourage guests to separate the rubbish (we could see from the contents of the overflowing black bin that isn't always done effectively), labels on the keys (they all look exactly the same and there are multiple doors), and maybe a mirror in the little room. These are small things that were certainly not a problem and we would strongly recommend The Willows to anyone considering it. It was one of the nicest places I have stayed in.

It was a home away from home with the added bonus of a hot tub, enclosed garden for our dog and the most delicious Victoria sandwich cake ever. The only issue was the shower leaked through to the downstairs toilet, but the owner quickly had someone round to fix this so it did not cause any further problems. These things happen and it was quickly rectified so did not affect our stay. Many thanks indeed.

The location of the property in terms of gentle stroll into Melton Mowbray was great, there is even a separate pedestrian-only footbridge over the railway lines. The property feels larger inside than it looks from the outside. Lovely open-plan rooms which are beautifully decorated and well-thought through furnishings. Fully equipped with quality fixtures and fittings. Loved the bright and airy dining area. The garden... well... superb. Long spacious lawned area, great seating both on the patio and further up the garden and the hot tub was fabulous. A real credit to the owners. Talking of which, we had a couple of issues (nothing which affected our holiday) and Rachel was at the end of the phone at all times to help rectify. One final comment... if you like cake... • "The accommodation was well equipped."

Unfortunately my daughter found some dirty underwear and a sock in a drawer in the master bedroom, which was unpleasant and reflects in the cleanliness score. It was great that the hot tub was clean but this meant that we couldn't use it on arrival as it was too cold. Luckily it was warm enough the second day as the reason I had booked the accommodation was to use the hot tub. There was a lot of road noise and it was as if a window was open (they weren't) as the double glazing didn't reduce it at all. The garden was great as well as the fully equipped kitchen. Some nice touches in leaving the eggs, bread, milk and cake.

Hi Pamela, thank you so much for your feedback. We sincerely apologise that the tub was not at full temperature on your arrival, it had had a full six month service that day which takes a little longer, it is normally at full temperature for the eve of the arrival day. Our staff are normally extremely throrough and follow a strict check list, I am very sorry they had missed the drawer on this occasion and I appreciate you letting us know, thank you. We hope to welcome you back to Sunny Melton Mowbray again. With kind regards Rachel Property Owner

We do not have a smart tv and somebody had left the subtitles on. It took us quite a while to find how to turn them off. One other thing we had to get the key out off the key box on the wall as there are two key boxes it would be easier if they indicated which one to open.

Hi Sheila, I hope you had a good journey home. Thank you for your feedback, its really helpful. Not really an issue as we saw that in the photos but the property is dog friendly.. if the dog goes through the fence into next doors garden it has free access to the road at the back.. It may be worth wiring this in so that the level of worry about thinking about the dog reduces and people are able to settle into the great hot tub without having to keep watching the dog 100% of the time - ours likes to potter about... except for that it was a lovely property and we had a great time.

Hi Mark, thank you for your feedback its really helpful. Beautifully kitted out, it was a real home from home with all the comforts you could wish for & so well equipped. The whole family enjoyed the hot tub! Very thoughtful of the owners to leave fresh bread, a lovely freshly made cake, eggs, butter & milk. Location was great - a short walk to Melton Mowbray centre, just round the corner from the train station & a fantastic park & play area which our young boys loved as well as being a short drive to many local attractions. The only downside was the fact its on quite a busy road so a little noisy with traffic noise if sleeping in the front bedroom but other than that perfect! Would have been useful to have some instructions left for using the appliances but we figured it out & the owners were so responsive & helpful with any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this place & will be passing on details to any friends & family looking to holiday in the area.

Plenty of towels and blankets etc. Super clean. There was 1 incident which was deal with quickly and professionally, thanks! Hot Tub was a great bonus feature, and wonderful to have instructions/cleaning kit etc to help maintain it. My only constructive comment is that for a dog friendly property, i would have expected a fully fenced and secure garden, which it is not, our dog was super keen to go across the gate style fence to next doors cat!! Overall I would highly recommend this property and great to see a home owner not overly inflate prices in this time of staycations! Thank you!
