  • "The barn was absolutely perfect and had everything we needed for a great stay."

I am still dreaming of that queen sized bed. A big plus having two toilets when you have a family. The garden is a wildlife haven which very much impressed our children and us. We could see a visiting hedgehog and bats at night, through the day, dragon flies, bees, hoverflies, lots of birds and a sparrowhawk popped in a couple of times too. The bbq/outdoor dining area is wonderful, we sat out for dinner almost every night. There are solar lights when things get dark. We loved it. There are lovely local walks, most are around 3 miles through public footpaths and crossings. We did do a 9 mile one once. The owners are so kind and helpful. Had they offered I think our border collie, Lily would have stayed with them! She loved them so much. There are some lovely things to do in the area. Kings Lynn has a ferry to it and is a combination of shopping and beautiful history. There’s a huge park for dogs and children alike, with a bmx track, play parks, beautiful flowers and trees. There are squirrels too. It’s huge. You could get a bus there if you didn’t want to drive. We also went to Hunstanton beach but steady yourself for a heart attack at the £10 parking. Beautiful beach and walks though. Not far is Sandringham and a lavender farm. There are many supermarkets at a short drive and locally, within walking distance a coop and a spar. There’s also play parks and local shops for anything you might need. All in all a wonderful stay.

you are most welcome. It was great to see you enjoying what we offer, which makes it all worthwhile. Hope to see you and Lily again. Mandy and Gary. Property Owner

The Barn was a hidden gem in a beautiful village. It catered for everything we needed and more. Plenty of parking space and a lovely large enclosed garden which is peace of mind for those with small children and dogs. In the garden is a large wooden gazebo and bbq with lots of seating which unfortunately we didn’t get to use as we stayed in February but this would be a great addition in the summer months. There were welcome gifts from the hosts which live in the property next door. They are there if needed but leave you to enjoy your stay privately. The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was massively equipped with a washer for those staying more than a couple of days. There are plenty of local amenities within a short walking distance from local shops, pubs and takeaways. Plenty of scenic walks in the area and it’s an hour away from the coast. Although everything was what we needed I did unfortunately feel that for me the property was quite dark but that would not stop me recommending it. It was also a pity that the garden was not seen From inside the property. I am being picky with these last comments though. All in all a great property.

  • "This is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay, very well equipped, and the friendly owners are on hand if you need them, without being obtrusive."

If you don't mind travelling to go sightseeing it's ideal, but if you want a beach holiday it's possibly a bit far from the coast

  • "I have stayed in many holiday cottages and there is almost always something 'missing' that I find I need but The Barn was really well equipped, warm and ideal for a break."

I chose this property because I wanted to visit friends who live in the area while retaining some independence. it was ideal for this and I would certainly book it again to visit the area - which is a great place to visit with many places of interest in easy travelling distance.

  • "This was a beautiful cottage finished to a very high standard."

The photographs don't do it justice. We had freedom to use the garden and that was great for both the dogs and our teenage children. The local village is well supplied with stores. There is a smashing "chippy" and a lovely pub called palmers. Which serves a delicious steak meal. There is road noise, but we did not find that impaired our experience at all. We loved it!
