"This is a peaceful location but still within easy reach of places to visit."
Berry Barn was fantastically well-equipped and our host had provided a welcome pack that meant we didn't have to hunt around for a corner shop or supermarket on our first full day, which took the stress out of hunting around for a shop and meant we could concentrate on sightseeing. The fact that we were able to take our 2 small dogs with us was a bonus. The coastal walks and beaches are fantastic. We visited at the end of October '24 and had to find diversions to get to the coast as usual routes to Roman Banks are partially closed due to works. But the coast is well worth a visit and there seemed to be plenty of other attractions to visit.
Thank you Rob for taking the time to review your stay in Berry Barn. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the rural life and beaches of Lincolnshire, some of which seem so deserted you could be anywhere, lovely for our furry family. It was a pleasure hosting you all. Property Owner

"Lot of care and love put into cottage."
Next project patio area, but appreciate its a big job and you need weather and time to improve on it. Otherwise a great cottage
-
"On a whole the cottage was ok ."
. but we found it not very comfortable the settee was really hard and un comfortable .the spare bed could feel every spring very old . the back garden was ok for the dog but not very inviting to sit out og a morning or evening to enjoy the out doors ..
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you did not find the cottage to be comfortable. I will have a look at the sofa and the snug bed as this is the first time we have received feedback of this nature. We did find some instant barbecues left in the garden following your departure, so I am glad you managed to enjoy the garden for at least some of your stay. Property Owner

It was lovely welcoming you to Berry Barn. I'm normally at home, but your visit coincided with school exams. I was pleased that the fireworks were not in evidence this year and no upset was caused. Please visit again. Property Owner

"This was a sublimely comfortable place for our break - with everything needed for the comfort and happiness of people and dogs."
Catie is a lovely hostess and was friendly but not at all intrusive and we thank her very much for her lavish hospitality. The country setting suited us perfectly, and the dogs enjoyed their walks on the country paths, as well as an occasional beach run! Definitely to be recommended for a peaceful and comfortable break

"Shame there was not a slightly bigger and tidier garden."
Propert and facilities excellent.
-
"Had a lovely time at berry barn."
It was equipped with everthing you can think of, and more. Very clean and comfortable, and in a nice quiet rural area. There is a small garden area that is secure, so my little dog could go out safely. Catie and her husband were really friendly and welcoming, on hand if we needed them, but not intrusive at all. The welcome pack of food basics, bread butter milk orange juice etc was a lovely touch. Would recommend to others.
Thank you so much for your review. It was a pleasure hosting you and your husband and you are welcome back any time. Catie & Graeme Property Owner

"Conveniently located between the Wolds and the Coast, this little upside down cottage is a perfect base for exploring."
Great layout for dog owners, well equipped facilities and with super relaxed and helpful hosts. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Berry Barn and thoroughly recommend it as a fantastic value, quirky and deceptively roomy little holiday home.
-
"A quiet retreat and excellent place to stay."
The owner has clearly worked hard to ensure the barn has all the required facilities. A good place for exploring the coast and the county of Lincolnshire.
-
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Berry Barn."
The accommodation was great and we even had a little garden. A gift package was very welcome. Catie was a good host and made us feel very welcome. We hope to go back as the area was very unspoilt.

"Catie and Graeme where fantastic."
Nothing to was too much. Very friendly and obliging. Cottage so homely and comfy. With all you need inside.

"Berry Barn is a lovely cottage, sympathetically renovated to a high standard."
Located off the beaten track, an excellent spot to get away from it all, with good opportunities for cycling and walking in the area. The unobtrusive but excellent & welcoming hosts, Catie and Graham, live just over the garden wall and are on hand should you need them. Highly recommended for a quiet stay in the Lincolnshire countryside.
-
"Had a wonderful holiday at the berry barn."
Catie and her family made us most welcome with a little provisions pack upon arriving. Lovely accommodation and a great spot for exploring Lincolnshire
-
"Kitchen area was very well equipped."
Sloping ceiling in lounge was sharper than expected. It could be improved by moving some of furniture to give more open space in centre of room where there was most head room. Also dining table could be turned at right angles to give more space with more head room. Difficult to control temperature in shower. Property in good position to cover surrounding area. Some good places for eating out locally.
-
"Great spot to explore coast and wolds by bike or car."
Peaceful place.
-
"This Strubby retreat provided everything we could have wished for and more."
The barn conversion was well appointed, welcoming and the owner Catie, had left flowers as well as inumerable consumable goodies for us on arrival. The accommodation is located in a lovely area of Lincolnshire and the beaches at Mablethorpe, Sutton on Sea, etc, were within easy reach and provided excellent walking. FIVE STAR!
-
"The cottage was situated in an attractive country position with good views and walking areas for people and dogs."
The facilities provided were complete even down to the basic essentials for a first night (assuming the occupants had not bought any groceries beforehand). All areas of the cottage were clean and the areas were roomy with plenty of light. Catie, the owner, could not be more helpful with any requirement we may need that would be classified as a feature of the rental. We found the whole experience contributed to a restful and tranquil week. I would certainly recommend.
-
"Our hosts were very kind and welcoming."
Beautiful property and lots to do in the area.
-
"Upside down house, go to bed and (great!"
) shower downstairs. Lovely friendly owner and family. Small enclosed garden for the 2 dogs, and space to sit out in, if we are going into Lincs again we would go back.
-
"Lovely holiday cottage, comfortable, owners very helpful."

-

"Berry Barn is a delightful hide away."
The cottage is cosie and warm and comfortable. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. It is a home from home. It was a real retreat for us to escape from a busy life. Everything was there that was needed. The owners were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had a lovely welcome pack of food, and when we were snowed in we were given extra milk. Nothing was too much trouble. We definitely hope to return as it is handy for visiting family in the area.we found some lovely beaches for bracing walks, enjoyable any time of the year. The village is small and also has an interesting old church. A car is a must as the it is about 4 or 5 miles to a town for shopping and amenities. We loved the peace and quiet it offers as a result of its location. Would highly recommend this holiday home.

"Couldn't have wished for a better hoilday let ."

-
"Catie is the most charming and helpful host Berry Barn has been converted to a very high standard and contains everything you may need."
Situated in a quite rural area, (So Peaceful). Within just a short drive, we were able to visit somewhere different for every day of our stay. We would recommend this accommodation to everyone.
