• "We had a lovely relaxing stay Vyrnwy Lakeside, our apartment was small and cozy with all that we needed."

  The shower was one of the best showers I've had, nice and powerful. The view on the decking/balcony are just gorgeous. Perfect for a chilled relaxing getaway. Beatrice was a wonderful lady giving us lots of information and her number incase we needed anything. Thank you and would definitely recommend.

• "We loved our week at Vyrnwy Lakeside which was spotless inside and outside and had everything we needed."

  Bala Lake is beautiful, the location & views were fantastic as we were right on the lake. The shops, Restaurants, Pubs and cafe's were only 5 minutes away and offer great variety.

• "Staying in the Vyrnwy apartment, we had spectacular views over Bala Lake."

  During the night, the area was very dark and therefore the stargazing was impressive. The apartments have a short walk to Bala town where there are restaurants, pubs and shops. The apartment contained a large bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, all of which were very clean. Further to this, the balcony had two comfortable seats and a table which were perfect for relaxing and looking over the lake. We had views of the train which passes close to the apartment (only passes a few times a day and won’t honk unless you wave so therefore was not a disturbance). You can swim in Bala Lake as well as kayak, meaning that there are plenty of activities to get on with during your stay. The apartments are also not too far away from destinations such as Portmerion (45/50mins drive). The owner Beatrice gave us a lovely welcome and was also very helpful with any queries we had. On arrival we were supplied with milk in the fridge, as well as tea, coffee and sugar. This was by far one of the best apartments we have stayed in and would highly recommend.

The Bala Lake railway operates during school days, bank holidays and a handful of special events day. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and made the most of it. • "A wonderful tranquil place to stay with lovely views across Bala Lake."

• "This is a fantastic place to stay."

  The apartment is very comfortable and is fully equipped. The large balcony affords a fantastic view over the lake and there are lovely lakeside walks from the apartment as well. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and were available for any advice on the area.

• "We had a lovely stay."

  Views were amazing from the balcony and it was a great, quiet location. The summer house was a nice bonus. Only minor issue we found was that there was no hob to cook on but you do get an oven/microwave/grill combination. Would definitely recommend.

  We, personally, could have done with a longer, wider, firmer bed, but that's just a personal choice. We would love to stay again.

Bala’s Wetlands is designated as wetlands of International importance, (Ramsar Sites). Yes, Glan Y Gro’s location is unique with its own lakeshore. I am glad you have enjoyed the view. We shall review the situation regarding the bed. Just for your information, the other two apartments.– Tegid and Drysgol have a king-size bed, where as Vyrnwy is a double. • "Perfect setting for a quiet getaway."

  Beautiful view over the lake. Facilities are ample for cooking simple meals. The balcony doesn't get the evening sun, but there is a communal balcony where you can sit and catch the last rays of the day with a glass of wine - or two.
