  • "We had a good stay, the owners contacted us beforehand to let us know about repaired damage from the previous occupants which was good to know."

The property is very clean and modern, however I did have to put all the cutlery, mugs in the mug rack, knives in the block and most of the plates through the dishwasher as they not all clean. The washing machine was a bit temperamental but we got it working eventually (a manual would be helpful, couldn’t find one in the property so had to google for one). Also, whilst it is stated there would be noise from the trains, it only bothered us early in the morning when the doors would rattle in the frames when trains were leaving/arriving. The location is very good looking over the marina which is very picturesque on a sunny day, the bar at the end of the road was very good. We could taken our dog in there which was a bonus as we found Pwllheli and many of the surrounding villages very dog unfriendly. We have been all over Wales and the Llyn peninsula seems to have a problem with four legged friends unlike every other part of Wales we’ve visited.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay."

The property is ideally located within the town and for visiting other places of interest on the LlÅ·n Peninsula. My only criticism is the property is in need of some simple maintenance. The lock on the front door and the lock on the front lounge patio door are difficult to operate. In general the property could do with a freshen up with painting the walls and wood work.

Our only negative is the double bedroom is very noisy as it’s in the front,, we didn’t test the back bedroom, overall it was a pleasant stay and we would recommend this apartment it’s quite central for exploring North Wales.

Bedrooms smelt of dog and rules not being kept to. Our dogs stayed in the lounge upstairs but they now want to charge us with cleaning bill for the carpets in the bedroom !!!!

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to address your feedback, which I fully anticipated. I do not take the decision lightly to contact a guest following their stay. It is not appropriate to revisit specifics in an open forum. However, I pride myself on providing a good standard of accommodation, which is evidenced by the many positive reviews I have received before this one. I also aim to address promptly any concerns my guests have, which has also been commented on in a previous review. Indeed I have many returning guests which would not be the case if the house were as you suggest. Had you given me the opportunity to address your concerns, I would certainly have done so. It was a great convenient location and hood views of the harbour. A few very minor maintenance items but this didn't spoil our stay. So we will come again. This is just for the owner to help improve. The double bed dips in the middle so you roll inwards. The balcony doors are difficult to open and close so we had a flood from rainwater on the last morning. On arrival, the door was locked in the open position, so security was not good. The downstairs shower door knob inside is lose.

Kitchen was excellent and I was able to cook family meals with no trouble. Plenty of hot water and powerful shower. Ideally situated for Pwllheli itself and surrounding area. The views across the Marina are beautiful and the gated parking a bonus. Be aware that the road and railway tracks are quite noisy but it wasn’t a problem for us and didn’t spoil our enjoyment. Having 2 elderly dogs it was a bit inconvenient having to carry them up and down stairs to take them out ….. but again didn’t detract from all the other positive points of the house. Would use again if staying in this area.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay. I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you and your furry friends back for another stay in the future. Property Owner

I know it’sa minor thing but she went out of her way to make sure they were replaced in a few hours. As we were staying for 2 weeks she also arrange a mid-break clean while we were out and the cleaner did a fantastic job. The house is in a great location in the centre of town. The trains on the line to the rear of the house can get a little loud but it wasn’t something that bothered us. There are not many good restaurants in town, but enough to keep us going. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

The holiday accommodation however was great, really convenient for sailing centre where my son was competing as well as the town. My son actually loved being so close to train station but it did wake him up. Was very comfortable accommodation. Bed was a dream. Blinds and sofa (underneath cushions when I was looking for something) were a bit dirty and no instructions for washing machine. Other than that it was fab. Thank you. Also after stripping bedding in front bedroom noticed stains on pillows and mattress protection needs replacing ASAP. Apart from that a great break away.

Watching the changing tides and the swans etc was very relaxing. The apartment has a lot of natural light. However for us we found the road noise at front and back was too much given that we are not used to it. Early mornings (between 5 and 6 am) became a feature but it did allow us to be awake to experience a beautiful sunrise. This caused both ourselves and our dogs a great deal of stress and anxiety. We always take their beds with us and they sleep on these, but we had to lock them out of the bedroom and they slept in the hallway. • "Whilst the road in front of the property is quiet at night the traffic starts early morning so difficult to sleep in much past 06:00."

The train station is to the rear and as it is at the end of the line there are only a few trains so not really an issue. The biggest issue is the widespread 'no dogs' policy in the area which is very restricting. Cornwall is a lot friendlier regarding dogs. Dogs are not allowed in most of the bars (including Wetherspoons which has a blanket ban on dogs). Also Portmerion does not allow dogs and the Snowdon train does not let you take dogs on board. Weird and will probably mean we will have to look elsewhere in the future.

Bright and clean. Fully equipped, making our stay very comfortable. Great view across the marina. Unfortunately, at home we don't have to put up with traffic passing our property and are not used to the noise, especially in the early hours of the morning. Obviously this is not a problem for a lot of visitors, and consequently we can only but recommend this property as a great base for exploring the Llyn peninsular and is very well placed for any grocery shopping that needs to be done during your stay.
