. . 1 of 2 pods in the middle of absolutely nowhere!! 2nd pod is far enough away not to encroach or interfere, & angled in a thoughtful way to ensure maximum privacy. All you could need (including lovely Welsh hot chocolate!), beautifully quiet & very comfortable!! Hot tub had a few jets we couldn’t make work, but we never asked for help & were happy without, anyway!! Pity about all the rain, but still a wonderful bolt-hole for escaping the real world! PS The 3rd car space suggests possibilities of a 3rd pod . . . please don’t!?!*

We couldn’t believe how clean and well kept the whole place was, there is clearly a lot of attention to detail that has gone in to it. The personal welcome message written in chalk on a plaque was a lovely touch. The hot tub is the best quality hot tub I’ve ever been in, and we would never get bored looking out at the beautiful view. We made use of the bbq each night we were there which was just brilliant, and we were lucky enough to be able to sit out at night looking at the stars, which we’ve never seen so vividly. Absolutely incredible stay and I can’t wait to re-book for next year!!

The pod was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our two weeks, an extremely comfy bed, cosy fluffy towels and we really appreciated the offer to change the linen after our first week. Having the hot tub to chill out in after a days walk was wonderful and the view of the stars on a clear night was spectacular as there is no light pollution. We were fortunate enough due to the nice weather to use the BBQ several times and it was a big hit. We would highly recommend. For food we recommend The Crown Pub, the Triangle Inn (advisable to book) and Evans fish and chips in Rhayder and a visit to the Red Kite feeding station and the Elan Valley. This is our second visit to Radnorshire and cannot recommend this area enough its amazing.

We stayed here from Saturday to Monday firstly we were welcomed by a lovely little sign, They also give you chocolate and drinks in the fridge we thought they were a lovely gesture. The pods are very clean & cosy they provided you with all your washing up liquid, sprays, toilet roll, food bags, towels ect. You are also provided with a bath robe each. The pods have a hob , microwave, kettle, toaster, No cooker but that didn't bother us as we had bbq both night as we had beautiful weather. Please note if you are wanting to use the bbq remember to take your own charcoal as thats not provided. The hot tub is also great and very clean . The only thing i would say is it would of been nice to check in earlier we think 4pm is a little late as we travelled 3.5 hours so u dont get the full experience the first day. All in all we had a fantastic stay the pods are amazing the views are great what more could u ask for. We will hopefully be back next year for our wedding anniversary. Thankyou to the owners your doing a great job

Thank you so much for your detailed review. Our 4pm check in time helps make sure the pods are ready for your arrival although next time you visit, why dont you call ahead and see if you can check a little earlier, we cant promise we can accommodate that every time but you never know. • "Overall, it was a very relaxing and lovely stay."

The cabin was very clean upon arrival, and everything was in good condition. The hot tub is a great feature for any time of day too, and we thoroughly enjoyed using it. The check in process was also smooth and easy, and they provided simple instructions to find the pods and how everything works within the property. One thing to improve on is maybe the timings to turn up and vacate the property. We had a shorter stay than anticipated because of the late check in, which meant we only had a few hours in the cabin on the evening of our arrival, and on check out we also didn’t have much time to do much. Completely understand the property needs cleaning, but we would maybe suggest having either an earlier check in and an earlier check out or have a later check in and a later check out. With that being said, it was a really lovely experience and we did not let the rainy weather ruin our stay! Thank you to you all.

Hwyl is a gorgeous pod and the facilities are great and done to a high standard. We had an issue when we first arrived turning the hot tub on and the owner came out very quickly and sorted it for us. There are some lovely walks, local pub and local shop in the area which are easy to find. We were left some choccie treats and welcome sign, a lovely touch. The pod is next to another pod but far enough away that it still feels private, we didn't see our neighbours at all. The hot tub and bbq area are also really private. We didn't want to leave, it was so peaceful and scenery is amazing. Only one recommendation I would make is to include in the online description or information email that you need to bring coal for the bbq, this wasn't an issue as when we realised we popped to the local garage to pick some up. I would highly recommend Hwyl and will definitely be returning.

The bed and sofa are very comfortable, and the space itself felt very homely. The owners left a note and some treats. Lovely details. There were towel robes for the hot tub, which we were not expecting so that was a bonus. The only downfall would be that there is so little to do in the day. We drove 30+ mins into Newtown and we were ready to go back after 20 minutes. We could not find the local pub, i would not say anything is within walking distance personally. We bought a puzzle and that kept us busy for the following day. Perfect for people who just want to sit in and chill - it was the most relaxing location. Very out of the way and quiet.

Hwyl is one of two pods at Long Valley Glamping, set amongst the stunning countryside of Abbey Cwm Hir, meaning ‘Abbey in the long valley', which sits on Glyndwr’s Way.

Boasting a private veranda with a hot tub, while being surrounded by luscious hillsides, this property is perfect for a couple wishing to escape to the serenity of Mid Wales for a romantic break.

On arrival you will be delighted to find two off-road parking spaces alongside panoramic views surrounding the pod.

Enter the pod to find a tastefully furnished open-plan living space, curl up with your loved one on the sofa as your watch a rom-com on the wall-mounted TV.

Head over to the stylish kitchenette that contains all the essentials you need to rustle up your favourite dishes; enjoy a romantic meal for at the close-by dining table.

In the evening head to bed and snuggle up with your partner in the double bed; the contemporary shower room is located nearby, featuring a walk-in shower that is ideal for soaking up after a day of travels!

The highlight of the property is the outdoor area, enjoy a barbecue on the lawn before dipping your toes in a fabulous hot tub on the decking; settle down on the garden table and chairs with a glass of wine to finish off the night.

There are barbeque facilities outside, or why not treat yourself to dinner out at one of the local pubs or restaurants; the village centre is 1.4 miles away so makes a pleasant evening stroll to the popular Grade II listed pub ‘The Happy Union Inn’ for a drink, exploring the 12th century Abbey ruins on your way.

Llandrindod Wells is about 13 minutes away by car and is home to a handful of quaint shops, a large supermarket, and pubs and cafés such as Aspidistra Restaurant and Lakeside Cafe, where at the Lakeside Boathouse you can hire kayaks and paddle boards.

The National Cycle Museum is ideal for cycling enthusiasts or history buffs to learn about the journey of the bicycle, from 19th century Hobby Horses to the models you will see on the race tracks today.

Rhayader is around 20 minutes away by car where you can visit the Red Kite feeding station, Valley View Falconry or head out to the spectacular dams of the Elan Valley for some walking, cross country and downhill mountain biking or pony trekking.

Elan Valley was once home to the poet Shelley, who wrote: “This country is highly romantic; here are rocks of uncommon height and picturesque waterfalls.

I am more astonished at the grandeur of the scenery than I expected." Nearby there is the Welsh Royal Crystal Factory, or for a more hands on experience book a class at Alex Allpress Pottery School in Builth Wells.

For tranquil walks, or perhaps a picnic, venture out to Llysdinam Gardens; the 20 acre gardens date back to the 1850s and were owned by the same family for 150 years before Llysdinam Trust took over with a commitment to maintaining the land, the greenhouses and all of the surrounding shrubberies and woodlands.

Shakespeare and theatre fans will enjoy The Willow Globe Theatre.

Founded in 1992, the space has been woven from nature to provide a stage similar to The Globe in London, hosting many productions year-round.

Further afield, the spectacular drive through the Cambrian mountains to Aberystwyth provides a lovely seaside day out.

The cafes and bookshops of Hay-on Wye are 50 minutes by car, and for more active types, Bwlch Nant yr Arian is one hour by car for some truly fantastic free mountain biking trails.
