  • "Had a really enjoyable time at buzzard lodge."

It was isolated but not to far away from main amenities. Shrewsbury is about 20 mins away from the park and ride and the ironworks museum is just down the road. The owner is really approachable to contact if there is a problem and is very keen on feedback, and respects your privacy at all times. We really enjoyed our week here and as a returning customer also, I would also say that I will be back again. Lovely place

Thank you for your feedback Brian, we look forward to seeing you again. Property Owner

The hot tub was maintained daily and we enjoyed it immensely. We would have liked instructions for the use of the electrical goods in the kitchen as it became a case of trial and error.

  • "A really lovely private secluded property with everything you need."

The hot tub was a real added bonus and was well used. Bottle of bubbly left for us to enjoy was also lovely. Owners very helpful with a few issues and all quickly resolved. We had a lovely meal at Cross Keys, Kinnerley. Due to very hot weather we couldn't do all the walking we planned but still had a great time. Only thing we would say and mostly hot weather related was the lack of a freezer box in the fridge meant we could not use ice blocks to keep packed lunches fresh. Really beautiful and luxurious holiday cottage.

We found it clean and welcoming. Lovely and warm. Hot tub was clean and a lovely asset. The bed was uncomfortable for us and the water was boiling hot and we couldn’t reduce the heat. A problem in the shower. This said we still really enjoyed our stay. Thank you fir the champagne snd mince pies .

The hot tub was fantastic and clean and well maintained. The area is one we know and is rural and quiet, there was helicopter training going on but we found that fascinating and hardly bothered us at all. The local pub is a short distance away and has excellent food and welcoming hosts. Highly recommend this property.

The general area is peaceful and the property is cosy, spacious and overall faultless. You have your own private garden, a large private hot tub. Front drive with parking and multiple doors, including double doors in the bedroom and lounge allowing drafts of cool fresh air in the summer. Also the property includes a large kitchen, outdoor table and chairs also sun loungers. Would highly recommend staying here, good value for money and many shops and attractions nearby.

The hot tub was the perfect addition to the lodge, the outside area was very spacious and perfect to have breakfast in the sun. The only minor fault I’d say is it could’ve done with a freezer but we managed without one anyway it wasn’t a huge problem. Would 100% recommend for a romantic getaway in the middle of nowhere.

  • "We had an amazing honeymoon at Acksea Lodge."

The hot tub was what drew us to this particular property, and it did not disappoint. We have a lay-z spa hot tub at home, but we enjoyed the Tuff Spa at the lodge far more! The BBQ facilities were fab too, and so easy to use. We were able to sit outside on the lovely garden table most days and enjoy the beautifully kept garden area. Inside, we loved the open plan layout of the kitchen lounge area. Everywhere was spacious and well equipped although we did find the bathroom a little small considering the size of the rest of the rooms/property. Plenty of parking and good privacy. The hot tub was cleaned for us every morning around 10am. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The bedroom is big so we thought a super king size bed or two singles next to each other could definitely work to improve sleep comfort but other than that we had a perfect stay and would definitely recommend! Thanks ever so much!

About the location

KINNERLEY

Oswestry 6.9 miles; Shrewsbury 12.5 miles.

The small village of Kinnerley rests in the unspoilt Shropshire countryside, nestled between the villages of Dovaston and Pentre, with the nearest town being Oswestry. Many years ago, village was a stop on the now defunct Shropshire and Montgomery Railway, that ran from 1866 to 1960, whilst today it is mainly a residential village with a primary school, a church and a well-stocked shop that has fresh bread twice a week. Around the village are numerous walking and cycling routes which scale through the picturesque countryside. Seven miles away is the market town of Oswestry, boasting a range of restaurants, pubs and independent shops, whilst further afield lies the popular Shrewsbury and Telford.
