  • "We have no hesitation in highly recommending Caesamson for a very enjoyable holiday stay."

It is extremely well equipped , comfortable , clean and cosy warm .The view is amazing , and can be greatly enjoyed from the comfort of the large heated conservatory . Location is so peaceful but not overly isolated .The village only a couple of miles away has some very well stocked shops , fuel station, chip shop , traditional butcher and even a tiny main line railway station . Many interesting places to visit and larger shopping towns are only a relatively short drive away . The owners are very pleasant and helpful and provided a welcome gift of goodies. We certainly would like to return .

  • "OUTSTANDING!"

Absolutely stunning, the pictures don't do it justice, the views are incredible, and the house has such a great feel about it! Exceptionally clean & a high standard of facilities throughout. Obviously a great deal of thought goes into this property by the owners, we have stayed in several holiday cottages all of which have been a very good experience , but Caesamson really is exceptional! It's not just the house and it's location, but also the welcome email with clear consice useful & helpful information & instructions, along with all the 'little touches' which we won't spoil by giving away on here, suffice to say thank you, they really do make a difference. The bottle of wine cookies & milk were very much appreciated, a cuppa after a long journey went down very well as we took in that view! A visit from Ian on Sunday was equally as welcome and it was a pleasure to meet him! We cannot recommend this property enough, thank you Ian & Anna for a fantastic week and we will definitely be returning!

  • "Lovely cottage, so peaceful and relaxing with a beautiful view."

I loved spending time reading in the conservatory, watching the weather change in the valley and also Red Kites flying just in front and sitting in a tree not too far away, which my husband was so pleased about. We had a really relaxing week away and although the cottage is secluded it's not far to Caersws for a local shop and an excellent chip shop or to Newtown for a very big Tesco. The cottage has everything you could need and was really warm, clean and has a lovely feel to it. It was lovely to have a fire on a cold day too. The kitchen is well equipped and the owners thoughtful - thanks for the bottle of wine and the cookies and for checking up on us to see if everything was OK. This was our second visit and I'm sure we'll be back again.

Eating area also excellent. Main room for relaxing - excellent in every way. Sun room also perfect. We appreciated all the pictures and additional decorations. We loved sitting in the conservatory looking at the countryside and on the odd occasion spotting the jets flying overhead. With permission we were able to use the farm fields to walk our Welsh terrier (kept on a lead). Ian the owner visited briefly on Saturday. Lots of walks within driving distance of the cottage although our favourite was Hafren Forest with a visit to The Little Welsh Bakery at Llandiloes on the way back. Near to plenty of shops and places for day trips but you feel in the middle of nowhere when at the property. Perfectly secluded without being totally isolated. • "The location of Caesamson was superb, all on its own with no immediate neighbours, so it was very quiet and peaceful and was ideally placed for our day trips out."

The main pluses of the property for us, apart from it's location, was the fact that it had a reasonable sized TV and a very comfortable, good sized, bed which isn't always the case with a holiday rental. There was also a much appreciated welcome pack left for us. As far as we were concerned, there were two issues that would have been nice to know before making the booking. The first is the fact that although the property is listed as 'dog friendly', dogs are not allowed to go upstairs. This is something that we feel should be mentioned in the listing prior to booking but we only found this out once we had booked and paid our money. The second was the fact that the wi-fi connection is very intermittent and keeps dropping out and sometimes doesn't return until the next day so this is something that should be borne in mind if this is important to you.

The house it's self is like a home away from home, the owner visited us on the 2nd day to make sure everything was ok. The town Newtown is only a 15/20 minute drive and has everything you need Aldi, Morrisons, Lidl and Tesco. The owner visits once making sure all is ok on the second day. Everything is thought of for your comfort, BBQ etc... my only criticism (and I hate to say it as we had a great stay) is that an extra chair or larger couches in the living room would be an idea as a little cramped for 4 adults. The cottage is very clean, well laid out, warm, cosy and comfortable. All furnishings are of good quality and it was nice to see that in each room they matched. The welcome basket included tea, coffee, milk, a bottle of wine and some welsh cake and biscuits. A lovely touch. The cottage stands on its own in an elevated position next to some farm buildings with ample parking for several cars. From the sun room you can see two other properties in the distance and so you have a high degree of privacy around you. Although you are provided with owner contact details they took the trouble to visit and ensure that everything was ok. There are sheep in the fields around you but you could only just hear them with the windows open. There is a picnic area behind the property but owing to the change in weather we never got to explore. The sun room provides ample opportunity to relax in the reclining seats no matter what the weather outside. Would we go there again... without a doubt YES

The cottage is in such a peaceful setting about 6 miles from Newtown where there are lovely walks along the River Severn and several supermarkets to choose from. Due to the Covid rules and regulations there are no information leaflets or maps, books, cushions or throws supplied but we took our own so that was no problem. When we arrived there was milk, welsh cakes, chocolates and a refreshing elderflower drink waiting which was lovely and very welcoming. The views out of the conservatory are amazing and it was remarkably quiet. Most of the time we couldn't hear a single thing. It was very welcoming for our dog with treats, towels, bowls, bags and even a spare lead. The human treats were also very much appreciated! Thank you for a memorable week.

  • "Our recent holiday at Caesamson was absolutely great."

The cottage was spotless, both beds were made up (so we ourselves could choose our bedroom), the owner came to check on our welfare on the first evening and they were quick to respond to a message from us; they also alerted us to a forgotten item and sent it back free of charge. We loved the views, the stylish decor, the dog-friendly aspect and the spaciousness of the cottage. Wi-fi was uninterrupted. We did leave some feedback to the owners about possibly supplementing the kitchen equipment, as we fully self-catered under the present Covid restrictions and concerns. Caesamson has provided us with lasting memories. We only hope that the lovely Ian & Anna have some spaces in their booking schedule to accommodate us. Enjoy!

  • "A lovely quiet, peaceful and relaxing place to stay to escape from the hustle and bustle of life."

The cottage is lovely with all mod cons and is dog friendly. There are walks from the front door and a lovely conservatory to sit in and watch the valley change in different weathers, the view is great. The TV has Netflix (as long as the wifi is working) if you'd rather cosy up in front of a real fire and relax. It's not far to a local shop and Newtown is just an easy short drive away. There was a welcome message and some goodies left for us and Ian popped by to check everything was ok, which was a nice thing to do. We enjoyed our week of rest and relaxation here

Furnished to very high standard, the cottage was very comfortable and warm. Our pet was made to feel welcome with blankets, towels, bowls and biscuits. The owners decorated the cottage for Christmas too and also left us a few gifts. We would definitely go back there again and use Sykes Cottages. Thank you for a great stay.

You listen to the sound of silence and marvel at the views. Even the sheep were quiet! A stroll up the hill reveals even more panoramic scenes. The house is well equipped and suitable for a family or two couples. It is ideally situated to visit the area being less than an hour from the coast , also for circular trips. Best of all just stay in and shut the world out and recharge your batteries
