  • "We stayed at cozy cwtch as we had come down from the Highlands of Scotland to see our son and his family ."

We were locals of the area up until 3 years ago. It was a lovely house in general well kept .Garden fenced off for your dogs but I personally would move the small gate just to the otherside of the garden gate so it would stop the dogs running around to the front on their way to it .A few cooking extras would be great ,a hand whisk and smaller saucepans again that's just me. I know some have complained about the lack of sound proofing in the bathroom but that's what you get with an old property as ours is the same.It was clean ,tidy & perfect to see our family in Cenarth .Plenty to do and see .

The cottage was perfect for us and our two dogs. There's so much space inside and the securely fenced back garden was a godsend. The cottage is perfectly positioned for easy access to lots of beaches and places to visit. Sammy and John, the owners are a delight, cso friendly and helpful. The welcome pack was extravagant and very unexpected. Its the first time of holidaying in self catering accommodation that we've had so much left for us. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to stay there again soon xx

  • "We liked this place from the moment we arrived."

It has character. It’s clearly an older property that’s had upgrades, it’s not cutting edge but it is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. It has good heating, hot water and towels and bedding are good. The kitchen is well equipped with decent crockery. The icing on the cake is the lovely location. A really nice rural location but a fantastic village shop at the end of the street, an absolute tardis with everything you could possibly want. At the top end of the road, views around the valley. As per some earlier reviews, the soundproofing from the bathroom isn’t great, there’s some squeaky wooden floors and the old style door latches can seem noisy at night but none of it is a showstopper. Owners great. Highly recommended

  • "Lovely cottage."

Just got back from 4 night stay. 2 adults and 2 dogs. Looks small, but like the tardis inside is bigger than it would appear! Kitchen very well equipped. 5 ring gas hob, oven, grill, microwave, air fryer, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. No tumble dryer but washing line in garden and also in boot room/back entrance. Stairs are quite steep so if you have small dogs you would have to carry them up or leave them downstairs. Not suitable for small children as per owners description. Upstairs bathroom with triton shower over bath. Easy to use. No problem with getting hot water. King size beds in both bedrooms. Central heating in all rooms and woodburner in living/dining area. Freeview tv and free wifi. Bedrooms well furnished and clean. Whole place was spotless and very well looked after. Small welcome pack of essentials on arrival, bread, butter, milk, tea bags and welsh cakes. Rear enclosed garden accessible by back yard. Beware dogs can get from rear garden gate to front garden where there is only a small wall. There is a small driveway to park in but is quite narrow. Shop down the road is a little gem and open until 7pm. Pub also down the road and dog friendly. Pub is closed monday and tuesday. All in all a lovely cottage and really enjoyed our time there. Date of stay: September 2023

Clean, warm and comfortable, we had everything we needed. Kitchen was excellent! Garden was safe for Rhea the spaniel and we enjoyed a couple of lazy lunches out there. Plenty to do in the area, Mwnt was a favourite. Local shop was really well stocked and I can recommend brunch at the Daffodil. Parking on the drive was fine and the neighbours were friendly. Weather could have been kinder to us but still a great break. The welcome pack was fabulous! Thanks so much Sammi x

Everything we needed. A welcome basket with essential items was left for us which saved us having to go shopping as soon as we arrived. One minor observation....the bedrooms and bathroom door were very noisy to open or close so had to be very careful not to wake other people during the night. Other than that we all had a very enjoyable stay. Would recommend.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay in this cottage which lived up to its name."

The cottage is in ideal location not far from the stunning coast or from many walks in woods and delightful countryside. Do visit the well stocked local shop and the Daffodil which serves really good food. Back to the cottage which was very clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, lounge/diner was again comfortable, garden was secure for our dogs and we spent time enjoying it. Tin opener needs replacing, could do with a smaller frying pan, kitchen door latch needs attention as we had to put a chair in front of the door at night to keep dogs in the kitchen and a curtain on the front would just help with glare on television before sunset. These are very minor things. Well done to Sammy and John and thank you for the welcome pack.

Spacious and well laid out, and spotless, ideal for dogs also, who enjoyed the enclosed garden at the back of the cottage. Car could be parked off the road, which was good as the lane was quite busy at times. Plenty of places to visit without driving too far - LLangranog and Mwnt, both stunning. Also enjoyed Cenarth. • "The cottage itself was very nice, clean, comfortable and well equipped."

There were no instructions for anything so the heating stayed on despite warm weather! The big problem was the parking. I could not get my Honda Civic - not an enormous car - into the cottage drive and have space to open the doors to get out, (my sister, with a Citroen C3, JUST managed it). The owners advice to put my car outside in front of the cottage, was not much use on two counts. A) the neighbours opposite came out to tell me that it made manoeuvring their own cars very difficult and could I move mine. B) given the size and speed of some of the traffic going up the lane, it was not sensible to park a car on the opposite side of the road to everyone else; the mammoth tractor pulling spray equipment would certainly not have got through without damage to somebody's car. It is obviously causing trouble with the neighbouring residents and some compromise needs to be sorted out.

Hi Sue, Thank you for the review and I’m pleased the cottage was clean and comfortable. Very disappointed with the rest of the review. Not too sure what the problem was there is an obvious on/off switch for the boiler the heating was only on for a few hours early morning and late evening as it can still get chilly. The option to just switch it off is there, and we live 3 miles away and we’re always at the end of a phone. As for parking we have had transit vans and camper vans parked on the driveway numerous times with no problems at all? We also lived in the cottage for 2 years ourselves and had 2 cars parked outside on the road with no issues. Come to the countryside for a holiday and expect to see tractors driving on the lane. Completely dog friendly and plenty to see and do. You definitely need a car as it’s Wales and things aren’t on the doorstep! That’s being said with a few minutes walk you have a local shop that sells everything you need and a really good pub. Cardigan was beautiful and really dog friendly. The cottage is really clean and has everything. It’s rustic as it’s a cottage but it’s really clean and super sweet. The bed was really comfortable. I have only 2 points to note, I found finding dog walks quite hard as I got a bit spun round and confused where I was allowed to walk. Be adventurous. I would have liked the grass cut really short in the garden as it was a bit difficult to pick up after the dog in long grass (dog owners will understand). This was more because I felt bad not getting it all up as the place was so nice. I would come again and I did get to meet the owners who were lovely. Really worth the trip

Our two dogs loved the secure enclosed garden and we spent a few happy evenings sitting on the garden furniture relaxing with a drink. The owners, Sammy and John, left us a welcome basket with wine and other goodies which was very much appreciated. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds comfortable.
